November's Gathering 2016

Leopardfang watched with disinterest. It didn't matter to him whether two kits from other clans tore themselves apart as long as they left ShadowClan out of it. For once, things were fine in the nocturnal clan and the deputy wasn't going to let RiverClan and WindClan ruin it for them. He just kept an eye on Thrushstar and made certain that none around him would make any unnecessary moves.

Crowstar just observed the commotion from atop the great rock. It seemed to him neither of the cats involved in the scrap knew how to behave themselves. It was even more disappointing to know one of them was a warrior. The black fluffy leader stood. "It seems Riverclan and Windclan have somethings to figure out.." Crowstar said to no one in particular. "But since everyone spoke, it is time to conclude this gathering." The young leader turned and jumped off the rock. "Let's go home Skyclan!" The leader said and then lead his clan away from the gathering area. Rowanpaw followed.

Grasspaw pressed herself against Blazepaw. It was her first time at a gathering and it was way different than she had expected. There was no peace in this moment.

Eaglepaw's fur bristled at all of the excitement. His first gathering and there was so much tension. After meeting Hazepaw, he thought there was a chance that cats from other clans could hold some level of friendship, but this was proving otherwise. He hoped his Shadowclan friend wasn't effected by it all, things already seemed crazy enough. Thankfully, none of the anger was directed at Skyclan. At his leader's call, Eaglepaw turned to follow his clan, with his tail high.

The young windclan apprentice, Rippedpaw, was stunned by the hostility. Riverclan cats were glaring at his clan over something he knew nothing about. His ears flattened, but he didn't get in a defensive position. He did not want any trouble. As the two cats broke out in fighting, he watched in horror.

Ashstar watched in exasperation as the cats fought. She was proud of Smokepelt breaking it up, but she wished it hadn't been necessary. "WindClan, let's go home. Remember, we don't want any fighting!" She leaped down, shaking slightly. Why couldn't she control her own Clan?...

Lionfur's jaws released when the cats started gathering. He grunted a muffled apology to the apprentice, eben though he had attacked first, shook out his fur, and followed his leader. He was glad to see she was a little unhinged.

"Calm down, Sleetpaw. There is no point in quarrelling with hare-brained codebreakers. If Ashstar has any shred of intelligence, she'll make sure the perpetrator is thoroughly punished." Ivyfall spoke in a clipped manner, stepping neatly in front of the apprentice and levelling her daughter with a look. Fighting so openly was a foolish gesture, one didn't need to unsheathe claws and yell to make a point. Her sharp words were her claws, digging at the moor-cat's pride and reputations.

Cherrypaw's fur was britling with anxiousnes. Being blind in a fight was bad, but being blind when other cats fought was worst, so she was glad when Crowstar called his clan away and prepared to lead them home. She got up and trotted behind the leader back into SkyClan territory.


Smokeface bit his lip in alarm as Sleetpaw and Lionfur got into a fight, and he was glad Tawnystorm took charge. He acknowledged the leave of SkyClan just barely, as he was concentrating on his own clan the most. That cat... Lionfur, he seemed like a bad guy, and fighting with an apprentice at a Gathering... The tom aquinted at Ashstar. "What kind of leader allows a full grown warrior to fight an apprentice?" he meqed, purposefully loud enough for the leader to hear.




Pinewhisker shook his head in boredom as the clans argued on and on. This fight didn't belong to ThunderClan, so why would Dreamleaf so dirwly want to get between them? The chocolate tom observed cooly how SkyClan was backing away and leaving for their territory. ThunderClan should do the same, he thought, if they wanted to avoid unwanted gossip.

Grey paw watched in horror as she hid behind one the bushes.


Darkpaw watched with interest as Windclan and Riverclan fought. I thought it was a gathering? Why the cats were fighting, she decided to just stay back


Sleekpaw watched the cats hiss back and forth as he groomed his fur. What were they fighting for? He asked himself.


Blackpaw turned his face away from the clearing, he couldn't stand it when there was blood."Stop..." He whispered, hoping it might come true.

Sunpaw headed back with Crowstar.

Icepaw headed back with Fishstar.

Dawnpaw headed back with Blizzardshine.

Duskpaw headed back with Ashstar.

Leafpaw followed on with Crowstar.

Vixenheart had rolled her eyes as soon as the fight had broken out. Two kits rolling around on the floor from two Clans that weren't her own didn't concern her. Vixenheart couldn't help but silently judge the two Clans...but it wasn't her rivalry to get involved with. She just wished that the leaders had broken it up in an efficient way. The ginger-and-white she-cat immediately followed Crowstar out of the clearing after he called his Clan to follow him. She casted one last look back at the Clearing. Blood had been shed in Fourtrees again. Vixenheart sighed, looking away and following Crowstar.

Morningshine immediately looked over at Blizzardshine when SkyClan began to leave. Perhaps it would be smart to do the same thing. The fluffy warrior had been put into a panic when the apprentice and the warrior had been fighting. However, Dreamleaf and Blacktwig had still tried to break it up with words. She tilted her head, looking at the ground at a slanted angle, and just let her eyes go shut until it was time to go. The fight had broken up, but all she really wanted to do was leave.

Cindercloud immediately had tried to focus on something else when Lionfur and Sleetpaw's scuffle had began, but it was hard to not watch. They looked awfully foolish. Plus, Lionfur was representing WindClan and Ashstar with a lack of pride. She was eager to leave as she followed Ashstar. Speeding up a little to catch up with the gray leader, she fell into step with her.
"That wasn't your fault." The medicine cat assured the leader, softly.

A fight? Halfpaw had remembered Sleetpaw's from a border fight between ThunderClan and RiverClan apprentices a while back, but she didn't think that he'd stoop this low. And the bad part was that Liofur retaliated and carried the fight on instead of ending it when it had been started. The tortoiseshell apprentice wanted to collapse and just wake up in her den safely at home, but that wasn't the case.

Squirrelpaw's fur was just beginning to go back to normal as she followed SkyClan out of the clearing. It had been fluffed up the entire time out of fear. This was her first Gathering, yes, but she knew that fighting was forbidden. They had broken that forbidden law! Shivering, she pressed against her brother Leafpaw as she continued to follow Crowstar and SkyClan.

Willowpaw followed all of windclan out of fourtrees as she just stared out into the distance because of the shock that had fallen upon her.

Fernpaw winced trying not to look at the two cats on the floor. He followed his clan and left the gathering.

Emberpaw's fur didn't flatten, staring at the scuffed dirt where the two cats had fought.
Her head jerked up to look towards Blizzardshine. She seemed to be leading now—she had spoken for Thunderclan at the Gathering…
Her ears were pricked as the russet apprentice waited for orders.

Tigerpaw turned, sparing one last glance at the clearing longingly, before leaping after Crowstar, following the pack of cats back to his home.

Smokepelt let out a sigh and looked to Willowpaw. "Just ignore them, there's no hope," he meowed sternly, looking to Lionfur and the apprentice. Hearing Ashstar's voice, the tom headed towards the gathering entrance. "Come on Willowpaw, let's go," he meowed to his apprentice and left the gathering. This whole night was a drag and he'd have to have a talk with Lionfur when they got back.

Following Crowstar, Tinylegs and Antdrop left the gathering, somewhat disappointed and worried from the night's turnout.

Fishstar had been about to ask Ashstar to control her deputy, who'd been speaking out of turn, but Sleetpaw interrupted. Before anyone knew what was happening, he'd leaped at a WindClan warrior she wasn't familiar with and began clawing furiously at him. The WindClan warrior, without hesitation, fought back. In a matter of seconds, everything exploded. Cats from all five Clans were wailing and hissing. Smokepelt was trying to haul Lionfur off of Sleetpaw.

How in StarClan's name had this descended into total chaos so quickly?

Fur bristling with anger, Fishstar sprang off of the Great Rock, into the crowd below. By the time she'd reached the source of the conflict - where Sleetpaw and Lionfur were - SkyClan and WindClan had already began to disperse, and the fight had been broken up. As Ashstar passed by her, she growled, "Keep an eye on your irresponsible warriors. If any more of my apprentices are ambushed at the border, our problems will be a lot bigger than two mouse-brains fighting at a Gathering. You can count on that. I expect the perpetrator to be harshly punished for what they did, as well. Until then, this isn;t over." The silver she-cat then turned to Sleetpaw. "Your behavior tonight was unacceptable. Gatherings are the one time each moon where we hold a truce, and by attacking Lionfur, you have broken that truce and angered StarClan. Fourtrees was a battleground a couple of moons ago. We hardly needs any more fighting. Shellpaw's attacker deserves the worst for what they did, but not here. Not now. Not without absolute certainty concerning their identity, either. Expect to be cleaning the nursery and elder's den out for the next six sunrises, and we will talk more when we return to camp." Turning away from the apprentice, Fishstar shouted, "RiverClan, we're going home."

Seeing that WindClan was leaving, Thistepaw jumped up, and quickly followed after the rest of the clan, scanning the group for his father, really the only other cat he felt completely comfortable around.

This wasn’t good…Blizzardshine didn’t like how this was developing. The leaders were polite with each other, even if Fishstar was clearly angry the whole time. But watching their warriors get into a fight…she really wanted to jump off the Great Rock and help the cats pull them apart, but she didn’t know if doing so would be a good idea. She had to admit that she felt sincerely relieved when the WindClan warrior decided to take action and break up the fight. This gathering was definitely not going the way she would’ve expected, though in the good side nobody was focusing on the fact that ThunderClan lacked a leader and nobody asked about the deputy. Everyone could only think on what was going on between WindClan and RiverClan. She, however, hoped that everything could be solved without the need to go into battle.

As soon as Crowstar decided that it was time to leave, she agreed. After the small fight between the warrior and the apprentice she couldn’t help but feel that staying around for much longer would only work to add more fuel to the fire inside the cats attending to the gathering, which was already threatening to get out of control. There was no need to go back to what happened during the Dark Forest gatherings “ThunderClan, time to leave!” After saying goodbye in a polite way to the leaders, she jumped off the Great Rock, leading her clan back to their territory.

Moonlight got really tense as soon as the fight started, and couldn’t really relax during the rest of the gathering. She had to admit it, this was the first time she wanted to leave as quickly as possible, fearing that SkyClan could be dragged into the battle at some point. As soon as Crowstar said that it was time to leave, she followed him, walking at Cherrypaw’s side.

Sootwhisper, hissed softly, quickly padding towards Sleetpaw and staying near to him instead of following Fishstar, ready to grab the apprentice by the scruff and drag him back to camp like a stubborn kit in case he refused to stop fighting at once and leave, agreeing with the leader’s harsh words and punishment. He really didn’t care if something like that could be embarrassing for Sleetpaw or not. On the warrior’s eyes, after acting like a spoiled kit during the gathering he had no right to be treated in any different way after it, even if just for a while.

Nightheart was having trouble processing everything what was going on around her. A WindClan warrior hunting on another’s clan territory and attacking an apprentice like that, the fight in the gathering between the RiverClan apprentice and her own mate…she looked like a furry statue instead of a living cat, unable to move or speak. It wasn’t until Ashstar called for her clan that she managed snap out of it. Her eyes landed on Thistleblaze, lowering her ears and clearly embarrassed “Sorry…for everything…” She said almost in a whisper “Also, I couldn’t tell you earlier but…Thistleblaze, I had my first litter not long ago. Maybe one day you’ll be able to see my kits” Her voice was barely a whisper, careful to not let anyone but her sister hear her words. After that she quickly joined her clan as they left.
