March's Gathering 2016

OOC: This will be what officially kicks of the Dark Forest plot into phase two.

Buds of green started to blossom on the Great Oaks of Fourtrees, a hopeful sign that contrasted starkly with the bitter winds that swept over the clearing where the five clans would meant. No clouds threatened to cover the moon, yet to there was an ominous feeling that clung to the air.

Sablestar was first to lead her Clan into the clearing. This was the second time in a row. She wondered why WindClan was always so early. Shaking the thought, the lean she-cat hopped onto the Great Rock and waited for the other Clans to join.

Finchpaw padded over to a comfortable spot and sat down waiting for the other clans

Kestrelstorm followed close to his mate. More and more recently he's been overprotective of his mate.

Thrushstar was next to arrive, leading his clan in silently. Things had not gotten much better for him, but they hadn't gotten worse either. Leaping onto the rock, he glanced at Sablestar and dipped his head in her direction. He really didn't know what to think of Falconstar's passing. It was a slight relief, but it left him confused on his perspective of Windclan.

Icestorm trotted into the clearing with his clan. WindClan was noticeably early, but he couldn't complain. Besides, it wasn't a bad thing to be early, instead, he got to watch the other clans to arrive. The grey tom looked around for his mate who he didn't talk to that much. Now that Ashwing was deputy, she was busy with responsibilities. For some reason, the air tonight felt particularly chilly and Icestorm wondered if a storm was coming. Giving a sigh, he sat down on a fluffy patch of grass. Icestorm was growing older each day and a patch of grass like this gave his aching bones a break.

Cedarfur and Smokepelt padded in behind Icestorm. The tall tom gave a low growl remembering the fight him and Kestrelstorm had the last gathering, and made sure to steer clear of him. Flicking his tail for Smokepelt to follow, Cedarfur sat down in a random spot, waiting for the other clans to arrive. And they sat in silence, cause they don't know what to talk about yet.

Tonight, would be a good gathering, Mudfoot was sure of it. No squabbling, no traitors, just a normal gathering. The charming tom tried to stay optimistic, but in the back of his mind he knew the world wasn't perfect like that. Trotting happily into the gathering, he looked up to Thrushstar before finding a place to sit. Mudfoot trusted Thrushstar with his life and prayed to StarClan that their wouldn't be any fighting, especially in ShadowClan.

Eaglepaw padded over to Mudfoot and sat down next to him "Do you think this gathering is going to be better than the last one?" she asked

Viperpaw padded into the clearing staying near the edge. She would try her best not to argue with anyone tonight.

Ashwing sat at the base of the Great Rock, watching anxiously as ShadowClan arrived. She didn't see the silver she-cat that she had talked with among them. Something felt strange and eerie about the evening, though the night sky remained as clear as ever.

Shimmerheart walked in, following her leader. Perhaps this Gathering would be better than the last few... No arguments, no traitorous apprentices, nostolen territories, no AWOL medicine cats... Just five Clans sharing their new apprentices and warriors. But a strange chill lingered in the air... Something that felt remotely familiar, but she couldn't put her paw on it. She sat by her daughter Viperpaw again, looking around at the other assembled cats.

Wildfang followed his clan in, a little wary. Last gathering hadn't gone too well, but he kept a calm face and a straight posture as he settled down.

Seeing Eaglepaw sit down next to him he gave a smile. "I have no idea what to expect, though I hope so." He replied with uncertainty, but kept a smile across his face. "This might be an odd question, but... Does something feel different to you?" The tom looked to the sky, letting out a sigh. "Never mind, sorry I even mentioned it." He chuckled. What's gotten into me lately?

Spottedstar led her clan down into the clearing, taking her place on the Great Rock.

Ashwing nodded at Spottedstar as she arrived. She looked around. Where were the other deputies?

Shimmerheart looked warily at the ThunderClan cats arriving. Usually, they were in the venter of trouble. Perhaps this Gathering would be better, though.

Ryestep walked into the Gathering, one of the first of ThunderClan to do so. He sat down and waited for his mate Thinstripe to sit by him. Something felt strange about the night, but it was probably just him.

Thinstripe walked behind Spottedstar, she spotted Ryestep sitting down and padded over. She sat next to him and purred.


Eaglepaw shrugged "I don't see much that's changed, but something just doesn't feel right like you said" she mewed pawing the ground.

Emberleaf padded into the clearing with Windclan and took his spot where he usually sat. The ginger tom's grey gaze scanned over the crowd of cats as the sinking feeling of being ignored hung over him. The tom turned his eyes to the ground and ducked his head, hoping that nobody would notice his droopy posture and loneliness.

Maizepaw followed Windclan into the gathering. This was his first one, and he couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, even though curiosity and excitement outweighed it by a long shot. The pink-colored tom sighed and suddenly realized that he needed a place to sit. He didn't know anybody, really, and his mentor was a deputy so she was sitting where the deputies sat. He couldn't sit there. Swiftly, Maizepaw hurried over to the edge of the clearing and sat down.
