Staff would like to announce that effective immediately, we will no longer be using anonymous forms for surveys on WCC.

Anonymous Surveys were started as a means for honest feedback to be provided to Staff, and while a good portion of our userbase has used it as intended, there has been a trend of misuse. Surveys have been used to harass Staff and HRs, or Anon Comments to speak poorly of others without consequences. All of these violate our code of conduct, which is why we are hopeful the changes below will help to improve our community standards and uphold the rules...

This trial has been approved by the three active administrators, Jay, Sleepy, and Rain, and regards the possibility of Snowy and Kitty being the same person. It has five people to the jury: Storm, Splotch, Falcon, Sun, and Little. They are asked to think fairly of the situation.

The Prosecutors will present any evidence or their argument.

So I've been abusing my power to check my username in different Clan colors and I've noticed that the groups REALLY need to be cleaned out.

There have been some recent activity checks in the Daily Lives sections but I'll be satisfied when EVERYONE POSTS HERE KAY

So below, post your cat's name, rank, and Clan. THIS WILL CLOSE SOON. Like, within a couple of days. I'm not quite sure yet. IT'LL CLOSE WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE IT.

I'm not going to try and stop any of you from dying or crippling your cats so they're elders, but I'd highly discourage it at this point in time.

There's three things.

One, the Clans are small at this moment in time and everyone needs Warriors.

Two, maybe I didn't spell anything wrong and you were looking up the wrong word in your research.

Three, if you're doing this because you're bored of your current life then maybe you've missed the point. We didn't add dying to WCC so you could have enough characters in the afterlife to populate your own star system....

Because of a balance issue, the Clan moves have been nerfed considerably. They're still stronger, but there's restrictions on where you can use them and the damage they deal out has been put down considerably, and the SP use has gone up. Also, everyone now has just one Clan move because the extra moves that RC and SkC cats had were just watered down versions of Leap-and-Hold.

This is because if a leader were to use their Clan move on another cat, they'd either be knocked out before they could land a hit or they'd lose most of their HP. And this is any cat of any rank, by the way.

I brought back our old school profiles that we had ten billion years ago because they're more practical because everything you need for going on someone's profile is right there instead of in separate tabs.

In the meantime I have unstickied the Kit Template because as far as I can tell as someone who approves creations as part of my responsibilities it is useless and misleading to new members, especially so with our Parent Finder board and the fact that you don't actually need roleplaying parents. I'll delete it if no one cares about it.

On the other hand with slightly more serious matters, as serious as you could get with a cat site anyways, I'd like to talk about posting in creations. I'd appreciate it if all non-staff members didn't post in them. This is because non-staff members posting...

We have decided to end the rule of the stat bars! We're going to be deleting them, so don't worry about why your health just poofed. This is just cause they're too hard to update, because when Mistpelt made this site there were only like, 10 of us, so it was easier back then. Now there's HUNDREDS of you and we can't keep up.

Due to the reboot, it has come to the attention that WCC will need more of a staff to keep up with the movement of topics and the onslaught of creations and roleplay. Plus, since it has been over a year since Chi was named, we thought it was time for a new administrator. With the new administrator will be one less moderator, though, so we will fill that spot as well.

I have added two new rules, both this week. The first one is this:

In order to have kits, a she-cat must at least be a young warrior.

Cats cannot die until they are at least the rank of a Warrior.

It has come to my attention that there are many wild plots out there, and not all of them are getting passed off by admins. I know that lots of you want to be a unique cat, but there are other ways than dying, getting pregnant early, being pure evil, etc. Clans need normal cats, too.

Okay, it's not really a rule, but this bothers me. When a new member posts a creation, they don't really understand what's going on. "What do you mean by origins?" Sometimes, they make small mistakes. "Cat Name: Ninjabeast" "RP Sample: beaststar left camp for fourtrees leading his clan behind him he twitched his tail waiting for the perfect time to go into the hollow"

I appreciate everybody helping. I love to see you eager and ready to educate newer members about how things go here! ^^ But sometimes, you appear rude when correcting the new member. I realize...

Due to the growing demand for Roleplaying mods, we shall submit. Roleplaying Mods will be members a bit lower than regular mods, with only the power over Roleplaying Areas. These people are to help stop people from breaking the Roleplaying Rules before they start, and to help settle things involving Roleplaying. These RP mods, unlike regular mods, are not being named Chatbox Mods, and do not have the ability to Approve creations. It is just to oust up guard over the areas mods don't have much control over, and Admins don't visit as much.

Hello, WCC. I am posting this to inform you that WCC will go through a brief closing period, and by this will not be accepting new members once again. Why, you ask? Well, on the chatbox, a few members were getting impatient with Gray before my arrival, and one admitted she did lack patience. I feel we need to learn how to work up better bonds with current members before accepting more new ones. Also, according to members, and what I have seen, rule breaking and bad conduct has been going on in the Roleplaying Areas. Due to the outstanding result of the LittlexSarrow relationship, we have changed the rule about inter-clan and medicine cat relationships. They will now only be granted to trusted and more experienced site members. The way people reacted and how Little and Sarrow treated the generous allowance of their relationship was too much, and it appears that we can't handle special privileges like that.

On another note, we added a new rule. Medicine cats must train an apprentice before dying. This is because of the number of MCA's being left behind with nobody...

As some of you may already know, Congress is voting on an 'Internet censorship' bill this week. It is going by the name of SOPA, which stands for Stop Online Piracy Act. Basically, any site that is using songs or entertainment pieces will be fined or deleted. If this goes through, all of the social networking sites, music sites, and other sites that use trademarks and rights without permission may be destroyed.

I am not entirely sure if that would infect this site. Pray that it will not. We have every right to our free speech, and by passing this bill to law, the government is taking...

I changed the hiechary of the forum, so that subforms now are hidden in the forum they are attached to. I am also tidying the Assembly forums because of this change, so yaaaaay!

I have reopened the site. I believe that with the member list all tidy, and the new automatic PM set up to direct new members the right way, we can have a much easier job of welcoming new members.

All I ask of you is to please help them feel welcome, and help them POLITELY if they have any questions. Your only reason to become irritated with them is they a) offend you personally, or b) don't follow the directions you're giving them.

All cats must be at least an apprentice before "deciding" to become evil. No cat can just be born evil. Kits are born playful and happy; not dull and full of hatred. There is nothing to hate! You are freaking toddlers.

Also, if the number of newbs deciding they want to go to hell when they grow up gets too big, I'm closing the Dark Forest. Hopefully, this will keep the Special Dark kitties under control.
