Subject: Laurelkit's Apprentice Ceremony Wed 22 May 2024 - 20:12
RAPIDFIRE
Oh I love it and ...
The days routine was starting to become more and more well liked by the young deputy - she would hop up to the tallrock with more energy each time and was getting used to it with ease now. Purring so happy that windclan was getting so many apprentices she called the familiar words once more:
"Let all cats gather round for a clan meeting" she wondered who Yannykit's mentor should be but got an idea quickly nodding and smiling to herself settling in to wait for the others to arive

Laurelkit stepped out of the nursery as she had done several times before. The first few times, Mama tried to stop her from exiting, but now that she was finally six moons old she could leave the nursery without being yanked back.
Sitting down, she turned her gaze up at Rapidfire, the WindClan deputy. Usually, when she was on the Tallrock, it meant there was an apprentice ceremony coming up, so Laurelkit hoped that this time, it was her turn to be an apprentice.

Leopardpaw padded over to the crowd, golden gaze wandering across the faces of the gathered cats for a sign of whose ceremony it was this time round. Normally, if it were one of his littermates', he'd hear of it first, either from Rapidfire or from overhearing one of the queens, but this time he had gotten nothing. Perhaps this time, it wasn't a ceremony? No, his mentor seemed far too excited for it to be anything else. With one last curious look around, the black tom settled down and tucked his tail around his paws.

Seeing her own apprentice settle in she gave him a brief wave of her tail and little smile.
Laurel kit you are old enough now to become apprentice. From this day until you reach your warrior name. You shall be known as laurelpaw. Your mentor will be kestrelchirp she knew kestrelchirp was an experienced long time warrior of the clan. She was certain they would do well together

Quickpaw
Windclan • App • ♀ • 20 [hp] | 60 [sp] • #B0C4DE
Quickpaw, even as a new apprentice, never lost even an ounce of excitement for apprentice ceremonies. She loved cheering others on, especially her siblings.
The kit of honor today was Laurelkit. The silver-furred molly hadn't interacted with Laurel at all before but had seen her around and had heard some of her siblings talk about her. She had wanted to get to know her for a while but never got the chance to, until now.
Once Laurel became an apprentice, Quickpaw could invite her to explore or to hunt or to spar. There were so many possibilities that she was practically bursting with excitement. She hoped they could be good friends down the line. She was always open for friends!
When Laurel's ceremony concluded and the young she-cat had been apprenticed to Kestrelchirp, Quickpaw chanted her name as she made her way over to her, "Laurelpaw! Laurelpaw!"
As soon as she had made it to Laurelpaw, the apprentice dipped her head in as good a greeting as she could give; she wanted to make a good impression after all. "Hi! Congrats, Laurelpaw! My name's Quickpaw, and I'm a pretty new apprentice like you!" She offered the other a grin. "I hope we can become friends! Let's hang out sometime, okay?" Quickpaw was already so excited for the future.

Gold is in our blood
"Laurelpaw! Laurelpaw!" Leopardpaw called out the she-cat's new name, offering the newly-named apprentice a nod of congratulations. It wasn't his place to join in her celebration, so he would remain in the crowd. He would be sure to congratulate her properly afterwards, however. He was half-disappointed about it not being one of his siblings' ceremonies, but not as disappointed as he would be if it were not Laurelpaw.
