Twistedkit's Apprentice Ceremony

It was a nice early morning, the breeze was light, and the air was starting to warm up. What a good season for training apprentices. Raccoonstar sat below the Tall rock before standing and giving a nice stretch. It was time for two new apprentices. After coming up form her stretch, she leapt onto Tall Rock, and let out that familiar yowl, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath tall rock for a clan meeting!"

Finally~ Twistedkit had been sitting outside the nursery, waiting ever since his mother had become leader for her to call together his apprentice ceremony. He leaped to his paws, taking quick steps forward the best he could with his twisted paw, before sitting down and making sure his pelt was flat. He was going to be an apprentice...

Behind Twistedkit followed Maplekit, though in an unexpressed manner. Maplekit had been waiting the same length of time to become an apprentice as the other kit had, and yet to him, it'd felt as of he'd been waiting ages longer. He was quite ready, if not impatient to leave the nursery, and serve WindClan in a more valiant position.

Maplekit, though enthralled to become an apprentice, had doubts about his future. Fighting seemed so.. Hideous, and terrifying. The kit hadn't told a living soul of his fears, for he was too proud. The tabby sat down in the clearing, and gave no hint of emotion.

Minteyes trotted out into the camp and sat where the gathering was starting. She had a very good idea of who was going to be what today, the mentor was the only thing she didn't have a single idea about. The cats began filling in around her under Tall rock.

"Today we are gathered here to make two kits apprentices." Raccoonstar paused for a moment to look down onto the kits. "Twistedkit, will you please step forward."

Twistedkit grinned as he took a step forward. He had been waiting for this for moons. He was well over six moons, and now he was finally getting his warrior name. His gaze flickered to his father, who stood proudly off to the side. Smiling faintly at him, Twistedkit turned his gaze back to his mother, waiting for his time to get his name and his mentor. He was going to be the best apprentice ever!

Minteyes smiled as Raccoonstar called the two kits forward. The she-cat herself had been a warrior for quite sometime and it felt like she was the only one who had yet to gain an apprentice. Now that was fine and all only because she knew that other warriors and apprentice might have meshed better than her and some of the apprentices, but she was truly looking forward to possibly having either Twistedkit or Maplekit as her very own apprentice.

"Twistedkit from this moment on you will be known as Twistedpaw." The leader turned to Minteyes. It was time she had an apprentice. "Minteyes, you have proven that you are ready for an apprentice. You will mentor Twistedpaw."

Finally, Twistedpaw! The newly named apprentice basked in the glory of his new name, before turning his gaze to Minteyes. A big smile appeared on his face as he padded over to his new mentor, his tail twitching. "I won't let you down, Minteyes! I'll be the best apprentice ever!"

Minteyes bounded up, trying to contain her excitement, to Tallrock. She knew that Twistedpaw would stand by his word and try his best at everything. Of course with his limp she would need to find ways to help him, but not easier than what other apprentices had or will have. "Of course Twistedpaw."
