I'll Share This Love I've Found...
Rapidfire closed her eyes for a moment just trying to focus on the present. She was not sure if she would ever get used to being on tallrock. As she glanced down at the clan below she gave a small grin at the sight of all the new kittens playing with one another. They had all grown up so fast and before she knew it some of them were nearing the time of apprenticeship. She was excited for all of them - her own kits had grown at an incedible rate as well as she spotted Rainkit down below focused on a butterfly.
She stayed still for a little bit just taking in the moment of how nice things were at the moment, she knew it was not always this peaceful so she tried to savor it while she could. Finally ready she spoke the all familar words: "Let all clan members gather around the tallrock for a clan meeting" she sat down patiently waiting with her tail wrapped around her paws to keep them warmer as she watched many of her clanmates already coming over to see what was happening.

The time had come. Leopardkit had groomed himself to the best of his ability, even asking Brightripple for assistance, something he had never done before given his pride in doing things himself. Where was Father? The tom scanned the crowd for the familiar face, but failed to catch it. Perhaps Father was at the front instead, waiting to congratulate him as his new mentor. The thought soothed him, and swiftly he joined the crowd, waiting eagerly for his name to be called.

Eaglefly glanced over - "hmm" he thought to himself watching probably a leader kits ceremony. He thought back to when the 'leaders kit' used to mean him. He settled his head on his front paws thinking of mostly the past. Now it was some other kits turn to have all the spotlight - not that he was jealous more so just observing. He hoped for all their sakes Tigerstar would have a much longer and happier rule than his own father had.

Rainkit raced over with her friends when she heard mom calling. For the most part she had learned that Creamkit could become bite-y at times but she mostly just used passive avoidence around her sibling - she never actually stood up to Creamkit mostly letting her sibling do what she did and just hoped that she would get bored and then she might stop nipping at her or maybe she would turn her attention to something or someone else.

Lavendercloud looked at her grandkits running all around and tried to see if her mate Fuzzface was about... she sighed rolling her eyes - that tom was probably off tipping over a twoleg dumpster somewhere he was always hungry it seemed.
"creamkit, rainkit! Come sit with your grandma - keep me company" she offered

I'll Share This Love I've Found...
Rapidfire looked at all the cats who had gathered and purred happily - she would take any family gathering she could get. Especially given the good news for the reason of being there today. "Clan- we gather here today to witness a kit who has eagerly awaited his turn to become apprentice and now that day is here- Leopardkit you have shown pride for our clan and eagerness to become apprentice. Reaching the age of six moons it is your time. Please, step forward. From this day forth until you earn your warrior name you will known as Leopardpaw."
She dipped her head slightly congratulating him on the milestone in life. "I... Will be your mentor. I ask the stars to guide me in passing on what I know in your training" With the large amount of kits about to become apprentice she felt it appropriate that she should take share responsibility in training them. Stars knew she would be relying heavily on the warriors of the clan to do the same soon when the rest of the kits came of age and maturity soon.
She carefully slid down off of tallrock not as gracefully as she would have liked to but it seemed to work. She went to her new apprentice's side and rested her tail on his shoulder for a moment following tradition. "let's set up your new area as an apprentice - then we can begin training"

Quickkit was more than excited for this day! One of them was going to become an apprentice! Leopardkit was the lucky one, and she was happy for her brother; he was even looking fancier than usual for the special occasion. Silly Leelo. He always looked nice; he didn't need to groom his fur further, but she supposed it'd never hurt to look even better.
She wasn't too bummed that she wasn't going to become an apprentice just yet. Her time will come soon, as will the rest of theirs. She'll be counting down the days!
When Rapidfire named herself as Leelo's mentor, stars popped into her eyes. SO COOL! Her brother got the deputy?? How awesome was that?! He was going to be a warrior in no time, with Rapidfire training him. She wondered who her mentor would be...
Shaking herself to attention, Quickkit chanted with the rest of the clan, "Leopardpaw! Leopardpaw!"
As soon as the ceremony was officially over, the silver-furred kit abandoned her sitting spot and skipped right on over to Leopardpaw with a grin. "Congrats, Leelo! You're a 'paw now! You've got the deputy as your mentor, and I bet you're gonna be a warrior in no time!" Her big eyes were sparkling. "I can't wait to be an apprentice so we can patrol together!"
Falconkit was lounging outside the nursery, ears half-turned toward the Tallrock when Rapidfire called the Clan together. Brightripple had said the lot of them would be named soon, so Falconkit let the deputy have his attention, but he was under no assumption that his ceremony would come first. As it was, today was for one of them; and of course, Leopardkit was the first among them to be called forth. The model of their litter. Falconkit watched through half-lidded eyes, only rising from his sunspot when the ceremony was fully done.
After stretching and shaking himself out, he fell in a few paces behind Quickkit. When he was close enough, Falconkit clambered up on his brother’s shoulders to place a paw atop Leopardpaw’s head, ruffling the thin fur there. ”Hey, Leo,” he purred. When he climbed down, he went on, ”Congratulations. I knew you’d get your name first. Save some fun for the rest of us, alright?”
A brown, lanky blurr sped circles around Leopardpaw, his new name being cheered exactly two times before it fell back into the nickname she'd given him. "Way to go, Lep!!! You even got Radpidfire for a mentor?! Oh, you're sooooooo lucky!" She came to a breathless halt long enough to give her brother a rather hard, yet gleeful headbutt to the shoulder and a hearty purr. Moosekit believed all of her siblings to be the best of the best, but Leopardpaw was proving to be the star amongst them.
And she wouldn't have it any other way; her brother was a natural talent. In fact, he just might take up aaallll the apprentice duties and then she wouldn't have to do all the tough stuff when she joined him in the apprentice den later.
He didn't get Tigerstar as his mentor. Leopardpaw blinked, shocked for a heartbeat before the chants started and it came crashing down. But why? Had Father specifically requested that he not mentor Leopardpaw, or- No, he was overthinking it. Rapidfire was the deputy, and surely just as good as Father. Besides, wasn't it taboo to mentor your own kits? Yes, that must be why. The black tom soothed himself and nodded in response to Rapidfire. She was young, and lacked some grace, he noted sourly as he watched the tabby slither down the Tallrock, but she must have earned the position of deputy somehow, right? Wasn't her father Father's brother? So she was of good blood too... maybe he just wasn't giving her a chance. Whatever, she'll have plenty of chances to prove to him her worth.
He didn't offer Rapidfire any more attention as his littermates came rushing up. He allowed himself a small smile, figuring that looking his best at his ceremony perhaps wasn't the most important now that it was over, and allowed Falconkit to rustle his fur without complaint. "I can't wait for you to become an apprentice either, Quickkit, so hurry up! You too, Moosekit. You won't leave me all alone in the apprentice's den, would you?" Leopardpaw returned his sister's eagerness with a smile-- a huge show of his own excitement. He was an apprentice now, and in no time he'd be a warrior. The best warrior in WindClan, even. Though he was sure his littermates could be close seconds.
