Vixenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Tigerdance knew that it was time for another kit to join the apprentices on this journey. He didn't want to introduce them to duties on top of this cruelty but at least they could have chance to help. He just wanted to go back home, when things were better. "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather near me for a clan meeting!"

Vixenkit's fur swayed from side to side, blowing across the harsh winds. Icy cold droplets messed her fur. She'd wash it eventually though it was a ceremony. She had to put aside her timid self and be brave for once. Stepping into the unknown was all too fast for her. She seemed soulless, a shell, nothing more. She'd always be obedient to WindClan. She remembered the old past self of her, imagining to run through the moors, feel the soft breeze in the flower fields, and to explore the tunnels, stuff every elder had told her. Her plain, depressed eyes stared up at Tigerdance. She didn't like the pain of suffering. One day she'd be a warrior. She had to be brave and protect WindClan. She firmly nodded at her thoughts and sensibly sat below Tigerdance, trying to ignore everything, curling up her tail around her body and paws.

"Today we are gathered to name another apprentice. Vixenkit please come forward." The striped deputy stated giving a moment for the kit to come forward. "Vixenkit you have reached the age of six moons, from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Vixenpaw. Your mentor will be Kestrelshirp. I hope he teaches everything he knows to you." With that the deputy finished the ceremony, looking out at the cats to do yet another head count of Windclan.
