| The ever revered full moon cast its white light over the clearing of cats from all of the Clans headed from their camps to engage in the completely normal Gathering. The air was still and warm with the arrival of Greenleaf. note: go crazy ______________________________________ 『 thymelight skc t3mc 』 『 smallfawn skc queen 』 『 pantherpounce wc t4w 』 『 cardinalpaw sc app 』 『 deerkit wc kit 』 |

Mottlestar “Bow before your queen.”
First to break the silence of the clearing was the shrieking of owls. It seemed that the weaving skills that created the vines of brambles into skillful twists of camp walls had also been used to create a trap of sorts around the bodies of two Great-Horned owls, allowing them to fly in perfect tandem. Beyond the shrieks, they called hoots to each other with the intent to communicate about the commands that came from their tethered leads. The vines swooped back, held in the maw of the mighty Thunderclan leader. Somehow, the husked bark of a tree had also been tethered to these bramble ropes, allowing a platform of which the tortoiseshell now stood.
For a Thunderclan cat, it was a surprise that she found so much comfort in being airborne. Nevertheless, the skill was there, especially as her chariot of owls circled around the clearing. Having gone to her sacred Owl Tree in preparation, she was even more impressed at how easy it was to get the massive birds of prey to agree to what was going on. Little feathers had been lost in harnessing them, allowing the birds of the night to look even more massive and looming.
Many would have expected the Thunderclan molly to come pulled by foxes, badgers, or even dogs. But for those who were close with the small tortoiseshell, they would know that her power was mighty. Her affinity for that sacred large oak just before Fourtrees was strong, with all of her family honored and buried at their roots. It only made sense, then, that it was the choice of chariot for the tortoiseshell. A symbol of what she held the most dear, but a perhaps unique choice to truly take to the skies as if she herself had wings. No more did the roots of the ground bind her as she soared above the clearing, allowing the other arrivals to spot and hear the leader above.
It was time to land. Swooping down, down, down, it almost looked as if Mottlestar would come careening to her death. Down into a blaze of plumed glory. But, that couldn't have been farther from the truth. As if the maneuver had been practiced thousands of times by the Thunderclan leader, the moment it seemed she would hit the ground with an impact harsh enough to force her to meet the Silverpelt of her makers, she lept.
Directly onto the Great Rock.
The movement would have put Riverclan's grace and Skyclan's tree-climbing to shame, especially as the owls once more cried with their reigns no longer being held onto. Bark fell gently to the ground behind the rock, safe from hitting any cat as the platform that had served as Mottlestar's chariot no longer was forced to carry the leader, and the owls now flew separated. Even then, the pair stayed together, taking a perch nearby for when their master would summon them to bring her back home.

| ◇ whinchatkitpaw ◇ "you get one chance, make it count."
A humongous bellow sounded behind the wall of trees that separated the weathered clearing from the surrounding forest. The noise of steady pounding pawsteps and branches cracking under the weight of a giant animal could be heard approaching Fourtrees. With a powerful slam, a polarbear (idk how he got here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) burst into the gathering.
Made it...!
Amidst the mass of thick white fur, Whinchatpaw sat on atop the back of the leaf-bare beast. The Great Rock stood alone except for molly who leaped powerfully onto it. The tom realized he was early as even Birdstar had yet to make her arrival. ______________________________________ whinchatpaw || skyclan || app || 15hp/30sp* || #91a3b0 acornkit || windclan || unborn kit || 10hp/30sp || #be6565 maplepaw || thunderclan || app || 20hp/60sp || #cea39e art requests/trades || character profiles! |

| For a moment, the moon flickered.
For the space of a heartbeat, the sun shone down upon the gathering cats in all of its golden glory, yet strangely softened and gentle. From the skies came the sound of beating wings, and Dawnfeather descended from a break between the clouds, wispy pelt shining like the sun, enormous wings spread to catch the wind. Like a leaf tossed on a spring breeze she dove down to meet SkyClan, snapping her wings open at the last minute for a graceful landing.
And then she saw the polar bear.
“Awwww!!! Who’s a good boy, who’s a good boy? So FLUFFY oh my gosh where’d you come from dear? Awww…” |

| The thick scent of roses rose to cover the clearing, rich and sickly sweet. Thorny tendrils crept out from the shadows to form a small, prickly path from the gap between the trees to a spot under a oak tree. Any birds in the vicinity grew silent, as if holding its breath collectively to watch the she-cat's entrance. The shadows parted, unfurling as easily as ferns to allow the slim figure to slip out of the shadows. Moons of carefully avoiding the presence of others now showed it's effect in the silent pawsteps of the tortoiseshell as she padded towards her chosen spot.
She spared not a look to any of the other cats gathered, instead sitting down swiftly and turning her head to the sky. The birds resumed their chatter, though it was noticably softer than before. Mottled tail twitched as day broke through the sky, and a cat akin to a bird flew down to the clearing. The she-cat's head turned as her eyes wandered over each of the graceful feathers on the molly's wings. It was almost as if she could see the wind curve over the edge, ruffling the feathers upwards slightly and it supported the she-cat across the skies. Now that she had started, her attention quickly diverted to the other members.
Mottlestar, a cat she both knew well but didn't. The Thunderclan leader was a mystery to her, just as much as her former mentor was. Just as much as any cat who could look her in the face with a brilliant smile as if it were the most natural thing in the world. They called it an expression of joy. She called it mockery.
Next was a small apprentice she had never seen before. Fawn faded to a warm oak red, accompanied by short fur and pale yellow eyes. He had chosen a polar bear to bring him here, and yet he hailed from the clan of sky. Perhaps he was like her, harboring a hate for their clan. Or perhaps he wasn't, and it was just a matter of choice. Maybe it meant something. Whatever it was, all it took was for Copperlark to see the tom's awe-struck eyes to understand that they were never the same. ______________________________________ Quillsplash | Bird / Tom / ShadowClan T5 Warrior / #802318Juniperhunt / She-Cat / ShadowClan T1 Warrior / #b9abb2Scorchivy / She-Cat / WindClan NPC PermaQueen / #009966Leopardwind / Tom / WindClan T3 Warrior / #cc9900Creamlily / She-Cat / WindClan T3 Warrior / #ff6600Sparrowkit / She-Cat / Unborn SkyClan Kit / #993366Milkkit / Tom / RiverClan Kit / #dbc6adArt Commissions | Character Profiles | Art Giveaway |

| The silent beating of the wings that belonged to two Great-Horned owls stirred the small balls of light that had gathered around a stoic russet molly. Green eyes were trained on the oak and vine chariot that carried the smaller cat through the trees and into the clearing. Firefly's scarred face couldn't help but show relief that Mottlestar had landed safely upon the Great Rock. ThunderClan was not far behind.
Defined muscles of the battle-hungry molly rippled under her short, rust-colored pelt as she walked with head held high: the illumination of hundreds of fireflies was enough to mimic the soft glow of a travelers lantern. Unlike when the sun would brightly set her pelt ablaze, Firefly's fur was a welcoming, comfortable, flickering flame. With each step, the insects flying pattern changed in a way that made it look as though each step birthed another swarm.
Just like how she herself never wavered in the face of danger, neither did the Fireflies. Large creatures or the rough winds that came off beating wings did nothing to disperse them. In fact, they only brought themselves tighter together as in to form a shield around the scarred molly.
Flanking the midnight molly were two badgers - the left one bearing only one eye - each in wooden armor of an oak tree that had been decorated in an array of delicate flowers to combat their intimidating nature. She was a battle-trained medicine cat, but she was a medicine cat nonetheless. They were for her and her clans protection, not meant to hurt anyone unless they hurt her or ShadowClan first. They glanced at her every so often, awaiting their learned kill command.
Harrietalon herself walked in a cloak of dark green vines that trailed behind her, their flowers matching those of her companions. A click of the tongue signaled for the badgers to sit near her as they neared the Great Rock, taking her seat at its base. |
