Not all is lost, yet (closed)

Having been brought to the edge of the SkyClan border by the ever-so-kind Lichenpaw, Sunflower had thanked the young she-cat and let her continue on her with her day, seeing as though he'd very much interrupted it. He had stood at the border for a while, wondering where to go next, but such an idea had been beyond his thoughts entirely. He'd never planned for his own clan, SkyClan, to reject him from returning, and now he was once again homeless. He knew of no other cats to ask for help, no other distant relatives that he knew of to help him out of this pickle... he was truly alone. The long eared tom had contemplated just returning back to his comfortable kittypet life, but as cozy as it had been in more than one way, it was still so foreign and frightening to the tom. Especially with that puppy running amuck; the twoleg den had turned into a chaotic mess and it had been hard for him to live there with having to constantly wonder when the little beast was going to try and tackle him. Maybe he could try and give it a second chance... would they want him back even after he'd abandoned them? Great StarClan, this seemed very similar to the whole SkyClan situation...

With overwhelming thoughts and questions running through his head, Sunflower laid curled up near the edge of a dark alley inside one of those uncomfortable twoleg cubes. Not having anywhere else to go and not sure on if he was going to return to his twolegs, he'd tried to find the best spot to hunker down in, though it wasn't like he was hiding very well as his soft sobs and every-so-often sneezing filled the semi-silent air around his hiding place. Putting an image of a field of flowers in his mind, a place he’d much rather be, he tried his best to drown out the frightful noises that came from deeper within the alleyway, but it was almost impossible. How in Silverpelt's name had he gotten himself into this mess and how was he ever going to get out of it?

Peach had never once even looked into the dark winding alleyways that separated the homes of twolegs. They were unsettling, bound to have the most unfriendly faces. But... Peach always wondered what it looked like- what it felt like. She just had to have one little peek, just one. So... When the mostly-ginger tortoiseshell van was making her way back home and she heard a noise coming from one of the dark alleyways nearby... Well... She'd just be wasting her chance if she kept walking.

It was still day, so Peach wasn't wearing her collar. Glancing once in the direction of home, she slipped into the shadows, following the sound of... Sniffles? Someone was crying?

Alert and worried, the mostly-white lanky she-cat sped into the direction of the sound. What if someone was hurt? She didn't have to run far, though, as she found the cat that was sobbing pretty quickly. His body shape was almost exactly like hers, though he looked just a bit lankier and taller. "Um... Are you okay?" Peach mewed softly, nudging the sobbing shape with her nose gently. She didn't really know what she was smelling... Maybe run-away pet?

He'd prayed to StarClan that no cat would notice him, but apparently his cries, no matter how much he tried to suppress them, were loud enough to hear from his little hiding spot. He hadn't realized how close the cat was and upon her poking his side, the curled up tom jumped in his skin. Shooting his head up, he stared at the figure with wide eyes. She didn't look like she was a rogue looking to pick a fight and the fact that she'd asked him something seemed a little less threatening... but he couldn't be too sure. Even so, it wasn't like he had any-cat to talk to, not that he was a very talkative tom, but none the less he couldn't help but wish he had a friend or any-cat for that matter to help him through this weird and frightening time of his life.

"N-not really," he honked, staying as stiff as a board and not taking his amber gave off the she-cat. This cat, whoever she was, reminded him a lot of one of his daughters... some coincidence that was, he supposed.

This tom was more lankier than she was! Peach stepped back a little, giving him some space to stand, flicking her tail idly. "Hmm... I can see that. Are you a pet? We can get you back home if you'd like... The streets aren't the best place to lay and sob." She chuckled, glancing up at the brick walls that lined the dark alleyway. "At least get up..?" His amber gaze reminded Peach of her mother, she tilted her head curiously. "My mother has eyes very similar to yours." Peach observed. "It's a very pretty colour. Mother said grandmother's eyes were even warmer and brighter, though I never met grandmother." She raised her mostly-ginger tortoiseshell tail, her pale green eyes gazing upwards at the sky.

"Y-yes," Sunflower began before sniffing, though he remembered that wasn't the case anymore. "But n-not anym-more," he added. Trying his best not to cry anymore, the tall tom sat up. "Th-thank you," he honked softly, wiping the tears from his cheeks with one of his paws. So he reminded her of someone as well, that was interesting. "Are... are you a k-kittypet?" he asked, curious as to her origins. She seemed nice enough, maybe she'd share with him.
