Echokits's Apprentice Ceremony

Frostgaze, upon seeing there were more kits that had grown to the age of six moons, wasted no time in climbing the Jaggedrock to announce their new status. It was all he could do to distract himself from Murkystar's death, burying himself in work was more productive than being sad about it after all. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" The white deputy yowled, announcing the beginning of yet another kit's training.

Echokit's ears twitched at the sound of the meeting being called. He knew that he was to be apprenticed soon, to who? He didn't know. He could only hope it was someone competent enough to train him, someone he wouldnt outright hate the moment the met. Granted that was difficult. The only ones he didn't hate were his parents and litter mates. Still the tortie tom settled himself down in the meeting area and looked up at the deputy with bright green eyes.

Deerleap padded into the clearing. was it one of Murkystar's kits' apprentice ceremony? they were outgrowing the nursery quickly.

Echokit appeared, and Frostgaze began speaking, not wishing to waste time sitting atop the Jaggedrock. "Shadowclan! I have gathered you here to witness the naming of a new apprentice. Echokit, step forward." When Echokit approached, the deputy continued. "Echokit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From this day forward, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Echopaw. Marshmallow will be your mentor, I trust that she will pass on her dedication and wit to you." As mentor met apprentice, Frostgaze leaped down from the Jaggedrock, leaving the clan to chant the newest name.
