Ashfall shifted her weight to force the Shadowclanner down as he began to attempt escape. She had learned from her encounter with Riverclan, at the very least. With a glare, she dug her claws in harder, forcing her opponent down as he kept wriggling.

Mistyfalcon ducked away from the Windclan's claws, lashing out once more. He was bleeding heavily, and quite frankly, exhausted, but she had to be too, and it was clearly slowing the both of them down. One of them was going to drop first, but he didn't want it to be him.

The Shadowclan warrior was faster than she thought. A counterblow to her own head sent Ashfall reeling back. The world swam for a moment before going dark, and she fell back onto the earth with a thud. She hoped Mistypaw would be alright on her own.

Ratpaw was holding on with all the strength he could muster, when — he yelped! The grey molly’s claws burned through his fur, and as he flinched back, legs kicked him in the chest — knocking him back as the molly slid forward and out of his hold. Panicking, and not wanting her to turn again to slash at his eye, Ratpaw darted forward, teeth snapping around the grey-furred molly’s tail. And he gripped, even as his legs shook.

Mistypaw flinched as teeth gripped at her tail. She was so not enjoying this anymore. Maybe it was time for that tactical retreat Ashfall advised before they started. So the tiny she cat dashed off, attempting to yank her tail away.

Her tail did not come with her.

There was no exaggeration in the molly's ear piercing scream. Not this time. Not as blood soaked the fur behind her, and the grass she had just ran past.

No, this scream, and the pain she felt, was all real. And it was unbearable. She felt like a kit as she ran off, shaking, blinded by pain and tears. A trail of blood followed her as she raced back to camp. Hopefully no cat would be ashamed of her for leaving. It was like Ashfall said, right? She needed to go.

Almost immediately after he pinned the Shadowclan cat, they started struggling. He forced his claws deeper, digging his claws not only into the flesh of the tom, but also into the ground, to keep balance. His whiskers twitched uncomfortable as he felt the tom come towards his ear, he kept his claws put... Until the tom spoke.

He pulled himself together, soon enough, but it was too late, the tom had ripped free. He glanced around him, Windclan cats were beginning to flee... But he couldn't just give up like that, right? He spotted Swiftspirit within the crowd, still going strong, and it seemed to give him a boost of energy. "You don't seem to care about the code. If you kill me, or any of my clanmates, you're no better than a rogue who despises Starclan!"

He ran towards Burningwing, opening his jaws and snapping them around his body, just above the shoulder. He held on with as much force as he could, if the tom decided to pull away, that chunk of fur wouldn't be coming with him.

Burningwing watched as the Windclanner came at him, spouted some nonsense about the code as if he knew anything of it, and sunk his teeth into his shoulder. The dark tom growled in response, his lip twitching as the pain shot up his shoulder to his neck.

"Please don't bother trying to recite the Code to me..."

He still only stared at his opponent as blood trickled down his foreleg from the shoulder wound. Burningwing's voice was dangerously calm.

"I could recite the Code before I could walk properly... and everyone knows that Windclan is nothing more than a bunch of filthy rogues. You are, by default, outside the Code." He hissed into Timbersun's ear, right before he finally retaliated. His teeth struck for the ear nearest to him in an attempt to tear it off and cause as much pain and bleeding as he could.
