New Moon [Final DF TOPIC]

Greenleaf howled in pain as Blizzardshine knocked her off her feet and Scorchfrost bashed his paws against her head. Disoriented and enraged, the medicine cat growled loudly at the two cats and retreated towards the bushes that lined the clearing. Taking a moment to recuperate, the she-cat shook away the dizziness in her mind and stared at the two with burning, blue and green eyes. Scratching at the dirt with her claws, she caught and grip and shot forward at full speed towards Scorchfrost. Fangs bared and claws out, she lunged at the tom and snapped down on his back, left leg. With as much force as she could muster, the she-cat bit down until she heard a satisfying crack of bone and felt blood ooze into her mouth.

Ripping away, she spat out the warrior's blood and looked at him with a red grin.

Greenleaf used Lightning Strike, dealing 30 damage and costing 35 stamina.

Tawnyfeather hissed as one of the StarClan cats ran up to her and raked their claws across her side. The she-cat whipped around and jumped onto the deputy's back. Grabbing onto Flameclaw's scruff, she bit down hard and began slashing violently with her front paws.

Tawnyfeather used Teeth Grip, dealing 21 damage and costing 20 stamina. Tawnyfeather will deal damage for 3 turns.

Sandstrike gasped as she was knocked to the ground but laughed as she stood back up. "You have quite the sense of humour. Too bad it won't last long," the tabby remarked and reared up on her hind legs. As she came back down, she flung her claws forward, cutting at any piece of Aspenstripe's flesh that she could.

Berrythorn's attack was rendered useless as Leopardfang slipped out of her grip and lashed out at her. She was bucked off and thrown to the ground, hissing all the while. The deputy bared his fangs and snarled at the downed she-cat, his teeth dangerously close to her neck. As she stood up, returning the threat, another figure bowled into her and knocked her onto her side again.

She barely caught a glimpse of the elder before a thought popped into her mind and she went limp. She paused her breathing and laid still. With her eyes slightly open, she saw their forms relax slightly and took the opportunity to slash at the elder.

Two apprentices landed harsh blows on the tom, nearly worsening his already aching head. A low growl rose in his chest as the tom collected himself and jumped to his paws. Infuriated, Thicketpaw lunged towards Meadowpaw and bashed an unsheathed paw across her head with all of his might. There was no recovering from that. Especially not a little apprentice.

Thicketpaw used Front Paw Blow, dealing 20 damage and costing 5 stamina. Meadowpaw is KO'd.

The tom cried out in pain as the leader raked at his underbelly. Recoiling back, he didn't even notice the other warrior as she balanced on a branch above them and lept down onto Darkwing. Thankfully for him, another loyal warrior came up to him and took care of Moonlight with one simple swat. Nodding his thanks, the Dark Forest cat stood and looked back up at the trees, ignoring the searing pain and drip of blood that came from his belly.

He knew that move. As quickly as he could, Darkwing shot up the tree and balanced on the same branch as the warrior had. Without a second thought, he jumped down onto Crowstar with his claws unsheathed and landed hard on the black tom. He felt his own joints shake from the impact, but jumped off and settled his nerves after digging his claws in.

Darkwing used Sky Drop, dealing 30 damage and costing 35 stamina.

All of the cats froze for a moment as they saw Morningstar fade away like a puff of smoke in the wind. All of the StarClan cats began to cheer around them, but as if they shared one mind, the Dark Forest cats began to laugh. Smiles grew across all of their faces and their eyes shone brightly against the darkness of the night. Even if they lost here and now, there was no way their little trump card could lose to those nasty believers.

"The Dark Forest will rise again!" they called in unison.

Magpiewing stood defensively over Finchpaw, watching and waiting for any enemy to attack them. Thankfully, it seemed they were all preoccupied with their own, outnumbered battle. Just as he was about to jump in, he saw their leader, Morningstar, collapse and fade out of existence. His heart lightened and his stance relaxed at the sight. Their leader was gone!

At least, that's what he thought. A quick glance at the Dark Forest cats and their maniacal grins told him this battle wasn't over yet. Their shouts only solidified his worry. Standing closer to the apprentice, the dark warrior gave his grandson a nod. Finchpaw quickly returned the nod, and the pair prepared for an even bigger fight.

Muddyfang looked at Willowbreeze a smile on his face, but some how the smile looked sad, he tried to hide that fact though "We won!" he purred, rubbing up against Willowbreeze happily.

Mistywater smiled as Morningstar went, she didn't want to follow the blood of her grandfather anymore, she did have some Dark Forest in her though, so did her kits and then on, the family will have it. StarClan rules the lands of our Clans once more... she thought happily, I can sleep safe.

Thinstripe closed her eyes, feeling some pain from the scratches she had. She took her final look on the ground at her son, Scorchfrost, and her grandkits, she purred. One day she might be back, but that surely was unknown.

A creepy laugh filled the air. Clouds covered the sky getting rid of any light that filled the area, except for one spot that was soon filled with a cat. Her smokey gray fur reflected the light somewhat making her more eye catching. "You've think you have won.. How cute.." The big she-cat said. Her yellow eyes looked down at the different starclan followers who were celebrating. Some of the Starclan cats already left. Hah that would give them an advantage. "Did you really think that the Dark Forest would be lead by such a weakling?" Smokefang said. "Did you really think we would present our real leader we were already accepted by so few?" She laughed again. "Go my warriors! Drive them out! This is our forest!"

Turtlepelt shook out her starry brown fur. "This will never be your forest! StarClan, our task isn't over yet! For ThunderClan!" Yowling her cry, the tortoiseshell unsheathed her claws and leapt for Smokefang from the bushes where she had started to retreat to.

Webtail looked down at the apprentice, heasitating before growling. "Don't make me regret my decision.." He turned away and left into the fray again. Once Morningstar yowled the leader's parting words he felt his spirits rise. The tom searched the clearing to find his family in the scuffle. A harsh blow of disappointment hit his heart as he failed to find Eaglefeather. She most likely left or even worse, had a second death. One she wouldn't come back from. He didn't get the time to morn over the idea as Smokefang yowled into the air of her true rank and warriors attacked her relentlessly.

Eaglefeather tried to scent and look for Webtail, she looked around, her eyes trying to fit every cat she could find at the gathering. She spotted a pelt, looking like the tom she once was with. She had failed to find most of her siblings as well. She felt left, the only one who cared anymore, she was sick of not being able to control what was around her anymore. She began to remember her apprentice days, a tear at the thought of it. She remembered first meeting Webtail, both of them kits at the time. She heard the yowl of a she-cat, one that had control just like Morningstar did. She stared at the pelt of Webtail, looking down.


Once she got her courage she slowly walked over to the tom, her tail flat. She stayed looking at the ground, remembering her past, remembering birth to death, she began to speed herself up, running over towards Webtail, standing not to far away from him. She wanted to speak but was too afraid. Letting everything go she tried to get out what she could "Webtail..." she mewed quietly before breaking out in quiet tears, forgetting tears that she had never felt before.

(OOOOOOH PLOT TWIST!)

Tawnypaw let out an angry yowl. "They'll defeat you just as easily as we did Morningstar! You can't win! We have StarClan on our side!"

Redpaw bared his teeth and hissed at Smokefang. "That is where you are wrong, Smokefang, for you see, StarClan's side are too great and numerous to be taken down!" he announced, his voice loud, confident, with a hint of anger.

Dawnlight snapped her gaze towards Smokefang, her eyes gleaming with rage. "We will fight you until the very end, and we WILL take back what was ours, no matter the cost!"

Twigtail stood beside her, fuming. "Ay, you mangles have nothing on us, and this place is rightfully StarClan's!" he yelled as the stars in his pelt glittered.

(OOC: For reference: Twigtail is fighting Rippleclaw (or was it Ripplefang? You know who I mean.) Tawnypaw is unable to fight any long. Dawnlight and Redpaw have NOT got an opponent, feel free to attack them.)

Ferretshine sprinted towards her parents, bloodied and bruised from battle. She looked at the two of them back and forth with eyes full of love. She wondered if she'd ever see her family like this again, so broken yet so whole... She knew she couldn't take back what the past had stolen. This was merely a ghost of her mother, her scar was a ghost of a hawk, and her cheerfulness was a ghost of the bouncy apprentice without heartbreak, anger, sadness, or suffering. Ghosts were all around her, distorting her reality. There was no such thing as peace. Not for long, anyway. She wished she could find the words to say it. "You shouldn't have died. I'm sorry I couldn't save you... I'll see you again soon, be it this night or in a hundred moons."








CRACK! Scorchfrost screamed in pain, crumbling to the ground. His leg... He couldn't move his leg! He stepped on it and a lightning-hot pain shot through his body, leaving him gasping. He coughed, blood spewing from his mouth. He couldn't breathe, he was drowning, but he couldn't give in. Even when he had nothing left to give, he would fight. On three unsteady legs, he lifted his shaking form. The smoky tom was nearly out of steam. "Blizzardsh-shine..." He whispered gravely. He was sure that he would not survive. He could not go on much longer. "Make sure... your mother knows that... I might be fighting against you today... If it was not for her. She means so much t-to me." He grunted and jumped up, using his body weight and slashing his claws hard on Greenleaf. He wanted to let the she-cat kill him quickly as the pain in his broken leg heightened. He thought of Stormpaw, Mistywater, Morningpaw, Coldpaw... His children. Pepper's children. He never got to say goodbye to her... What would she think when he never came to see her? His kits did not know where she lived! Tears splattered the ground. "Just do it, will you?"

The black warrior struggled even more looking towards her sister. "In my mind I didn't choose the wrong side, I'm just defending my family!" She said to the deputy. Her claws dug into the ground as she tried to drag herself from her grip.

A random npc warrior appeared and slashed Nettletail's throat looking rather satisfied with himself when he did that. "Enjoy your time in the Dark forest." He hissed at the now dying she-cat. She deserved everything she got.

Flameclaw growled as the warrior got her in a painful grip. She didn't like it but she knew how to escape. The ginger warrior ducked down and twisted to escape the grip of the dark forest warrior.

Smokefang growled as three warriors confronted her at once but she knew which one was the weakest on so she would go after her when she got the chance. She didn't care about the stunning pain that tore through her body. She was stronger than all of them and she had plenty of tricks up her sleeve. Overcoming the pain she was able to move and attack the starclan warriors. She grasped onto Otterlight's pelt bite down and pulled and twisted dealing a lot of damage.
