Blackpaw faintly saw his sister collapse, and he attempted to scramble to his paws once again. He rose shakily, and took a few paces forwards. He was shuffling, kicking up dust as he approached. As he grew nearer, he lifted his paws. With that, he wavered, letting out a brief cough before rasping out a groan and falling. He didn't know why he even tried.

(I guess I'm gonna continue with the little fight on Blossom.)

Thinstripe hissed as she saw a StarClan cat, Otterlight, get attacked by Blossompaw. The she-cat was a apprentice, but she had proved to her quite enough already that she was more powerful than she looked. Thinstripe reared up on her hind legs once more and pummeled at Blossompaw's face with both of her unsheathed claws.

When Thinstripe attacked her from behind, Blossompaw whirled around and slashed her back. Her claws slicing through the warrior's face, leaving red gashes that would leave serious gouges. Even if she couldn't win, she would make sure they suffered after they defeated her.

The StarClan she-cat recoiled with the force of claws being dragged across her face. This obviously was going to be a messy fight, and she was prepared to go to the bitter end to protect her home and descendants. Fighting side by side with Raccoonstar felt good, and she felt more alive than she had in many, many moons. She wasn't called Dewclaw for no reason. Dewstar recalled her many battles from her life and slid beneath her opponent, raking sharp claws through his soft belly without showing any mercy. He would never return after this lesson.

And before Fishstar knew it, battle cries were filling the air like some sort of dissonant song, drowning out even her own thoughts. It was so sudden that it shocked her - made her freeze up. She'd never liked battles. As an apprentice, she'd itched to step out ont the battlefield for the first time and win glory for her Clan, but shen she'd actually gotten the chance to do it, she'd hated it. She'd hated the nightmares that followed it, the screams, the blood slicking the matted grass down onto the dirt beneath.. And the stench. StarClan, the stench.. The metallic musk of the blood, the rank odour of perspiration and saliva and mingled Clan scents. It was almost dizzying.

Now was no exception.

Seven Clans were fighting, tooth and claw, against their leaderst, against their kin, and against the friends they'd thought they could trust with their lives. It was wrong. So wrong. Never in Fishstar's life had she ever pictured or wanted anything as brutal and wild as this. The battle was like an out-of-control badger - a terrifying, lurching beast that made her want to run and hide away from its destructive power.

As much as she wanted to turn away and never look back, Fishstar had a duty - to her Clan, and to her warrior ancestors. She was RiverClan's leader, anointed by StarClan to lead them into greener pastures, and now, here, she needed to fulfil the duties that had been laid on her by driving out the evil menace that had tainted the forest like a poison. The Dark Forest had no place her. These were the lands that StarClan had gifted to the Clans countless ages ago to thrive upon, and if the Clans wanted to keep their land, they had to fight for it. Fishstar loved her Clan. She loved this forest, despite all the hardships it had put he through over her many moons of life here. She'd been born here, and she would die here, old and greying, underneath a blanket of stars - not a dark, lightless night sky.

Today was the day that the usurpers would fall.

Snarling, Fishstar unleashed a screech of fury and dove for the nearest cat to her, claws flying effortlessly through the air.

On the other end of the spectrum, Ravenfeather bristled when she noticed StarClan cats flooding into Fourtrees. Once, she had served them. Once, she'd made prayers to them every morning. She was different now. Her father had brought out doubts and ideals within her that she'd never stopped to consider before - StarClan did nothing for SkyClan. They hadn't cared while WindClan terrorised them and drove them out of their own territory, forced to depend on RiverClan to feed them and house them. They hadn't cared when Ravenfeather's denmates died and suffered around her in the battle duting the last full moon. They did nothing to benefit the living.

Ravenfeather was ready when the fights broke out. StarClan no longer had a place in the forest, and here they were trying to worm their way back into it. Pathetic.

Hissing, Ravenfeather unsheathed her claws and sprang, aiming for a young warrior who clearly hadn't spotted her standing nearby.

"Mother I'm sorry.."

Ivyfall let out a broken yowl of grief for her daughter, her silver paws pressed against her daughter's failing body as she tried to get someone, anyone to help. But no one came to Frostfall's aid, that was when her heart hardened against StarClan, until... Until she heard Frostfall's last words, heard her call out to her siblings and the stars shone as though another had joined them. She'd been terrified that her daughter would die and end up in the endless darkness the Dark Forest came from, but StarClan had pardoned her of her crimes. Frostfall was dead, murdered by a foxheart that she once called father, but StarClan, they'd been merciful. For this act of mercy, Ivyfall was willing to turn her coat against the Dark Forest.

Nodding to Hawkstrike, the she-cat joined the fray and tackled the tom fighting her leader, Fishstar. Her green eyes were hard and cold, making her look utterly terrifying. They'd taken her daughter from her, twisting her for their purposes. They'd kicked out her leader and raised a generation of kits in fear. There was no mercy in her now. The Dark Forest would fall.

Thinstripe looked at Blossompaw as she slashed at her face wildly, just like she had done before. She growled, deciding to finish her off with a final blow. The StarClan warrior put her paw in the air steadily, she aiming it so it would do something special, not just any front paw blow, one that was made just for Blossompaw to be beaten, to show the dead Dark Forest apprentice that she was beaten by the most loyal StarClan cat that this she-cat could be. She bared her teeth, giving her position to tell that she was done for. She made her move and crashed her paw down onto the she-cat apprentices' head and down to her muzzle, leaving a scar for sure. She looked at the apprentice, her eyes slits and turning around simply, not telling her that she did bad in the fight at all, she just turned around and didn't turn back at her. She flicked her tail as she moved into the crowd silently.

ic- Her eyes narrowed to slits and snarled, preparing to lash out at Treestep's face. "And what would that lie be?" Before she could attack, however, a huge golden cat bowled her over. Furious, and quite unaware of what would happen next, the leader let out a wordless growl at the Riverclan warrior and struck out a single paw, hitting dangerously close to the major artery in Lionsong's neck, but it was protected by the sheer amount of neck fur. This would not happen again, however. Her back paw was pressing hard against her enemy's stomach, but one paw was not enough to push such a giant cat off of her. She wanted to get back to fighting Treestep, and she thrashed around, trying to break free.

It was strange to feel reluctance in a fight. Not being able to see allowed forced her to compensate with her ears and nose, but that only helped when trying to hone in on a target. Having her enemy on top of her was not only humiliating, but incredibly frustrating. She couldn't tell where her opponent's head was. However, when she spoke, she twisted her head to face her spot-on. "Got somethin' more than spunk," she growled with false confidence. She pulled her back legs up to her chest and kicked up in one fluid move, then scrambled to her paws. Fogheart, though she fought this Starclan cat, was still unsure whether or not she was still on the Dark Forest's side. They hadn't brought her any strength at all. Did they trick her?
In the cries of battle, the warrior froze at the sound of someone she knew. Her sister, Ivyfall, was wailing with grief. She could not tell why. But the idea of such a sound coming out of her sister's mouth; the sister who was the deputy of Riverclan forced an icicle into her stomach. What happened? For the moment she was distracted, unusually stiff.

Spiderfur unwittingly gave a yelp as she was thrown off, lading hard. She began to realize the size difference between her opponent and herself, and shrunk back a bit. Maybe this was a mistake. "I could go back to Twolegplace, maybe it would be safer there. I'd bring Wildfang and Fawnpaw and Palefoot with me!" In that same instant she became disgusted with herself. Why would she run when she could maybe make a difference here, and live out her life in her own camp! However long that would be. Even if she couldn't beat this cat, he'd be weakened enough so that another cat could. This gave her a shot of courage. The little warrior bolted underneath the shadowy warrior's stomach and lashed around with all four paws before tumbling to her feet behind him. Then without giving him a chance to react she sliced at the side of his gut.

The Starclan she-cat continued the almost-casual conversation, only retreating a bit of her own silver, glittering blood blinded her for a moment. "I'd say it's good to be back, but given the circumstances.." Nightbird felt empathy for the Dark Forest warrior without guilt. Even as they were slashing at each other she could understand the feeling of loneliness, even though she didn't reside in such a dark, gloomy place. "Afterwards, perhaps i'll visit," she said this with complete sincerity, trading another blow.

Morningpaw gasped in pain as she was attacked by the larger apprentice. She whirled around to find the cat but he was already gone. She lashed her tail and shoved past the quarreling cats to her mother, relief washing over her as she saw Oakcloud. "M-mom! What are these cats doing here?" She asked, tail flicking to the exiles.

Otterlight didn't respond. She just hissed, sending a blow to Blossompaw's head.

Stormpaw's vision became blurry as One-Eye suddenly attacked him. He was worried that Morningpaw would be attacked as well, but he soon felt himself being dragged swiftly along the ground. When he looked up, warily to see who dragged him, he saw Morningpaw. Thank goodness it wasn't a Dark Forest cat. He was in pain and he felt weak.
"You don't have to stay here." He said. It had been hard for him to even say those few words to Morningpaw. Why did his throat feel numb? His throat hadn't been attacked at all!

Baypaw noticed that most cats already had opponents, and he was itching to do something, so he went for the first Dark Forest cat he saw. He noticed a Dark Forest cat that had knocked out an apprentice. He ran towards the cat, leaping, and landing on his new opponent with a growl.

Sunclaw frowned. Some Starclan cat was willing to visit her? In that dark maze of a forest? "You are welcome to try.. That forest is a bit of a maze." She said to the Starclan warrior. She didn't like the place, but she doomed herself there, and as long as she had a chance to not be in that place she was going to fight for it. Even if it might cost her her afterlife, but she doubted Nightbird would take it from her.
