New Moon [Final DF TOPIC]

Tawnypaw gave Crowpaw a little semi-playful kick in the legs as she chanted along. Of course he was a Dark Forest loyalist. It was how he'd been born and raised. But, geez, if this couldn't convert him, what could? She gave him a quick glance and rolled her eyes - her eye roll perfected because of the sheer number of times she'd used it on this certain tom.

When Blossompaw ever "Did I stammer? I said back off! I was one of you. I know your moves. I know your strategies. I know the truth." he snarled again. As the chant started. He went along. "We are here StarClan! he yowled.

Snowstorm knows its impossible for a fight not to break out. She chanted along. "We are here StarClan!" she yowled. As they repeated the chant, It grew stronger as others joined.

Swiftpaw joined along. "We are here StarClan!"

Oceanlight joined as well. "We are here StarClan!"

Snakepaw, with pride, yowled "We are here StarClan!"

Falconstone was next of the journied cats to return to the clans. The tom had grown rugged and thin, with a haunting look of strength and wisdom. The calluses on his feet didn't hurt anymore as he strode forward, taller than ever. His multicolored pelt bristled with anticipation; his orange eyes flared with pride and a shine the death of Minkpaw had taken from him. "We are here StarClan." he yowled over the voices.The tom flicked his tail, eyes knowing.

Kestrelstorm followed with his eyes as Morningstar leaped onto the rock, swiping out with his long claws as the dead cat leaped but missed everything but air. A constant growl came from the warrior as the cat talked. Whipping his head around during the chants, his orange eyes came to settle on Falconstone. His son. His son was alive and well, and all about StarClan. He wondered where his son was, that he wasn't with his clan. Raising his head, he joined is head and voice in the chant. "We are here StarClan."

Lionsong hissed as a random, former Dark Forest deputy tackled her. She clawed at his face, but soon he slid off to cheer his allegiance to StarClan. "Traitor!" she hissed.

Leopardfang followed his leader to the clearing. His heart beat faster and faster with every step that brought him closer to his home. Finally, it seemed that Thrushstar had his head on straight again. It seemed his apparent death in the alleyway was just what he needed to get back on his paws. The spotted deputy's fur rose along his spine at the thought of facing the traitors once more, claws slipping in and out of their sheaths in anticipation of redemption. The dark, starless clearing was filled with new cats that he had never seen before. Had that much time really passed since their exile? His mind flitted back to his mate and adult kits. Viperfang had been exiled with him, but Tigerstorm was left under her brother's rule because she was carrying kits. A sharp growl rose in Leopardfang's throat when he saw Webtail atop the Great Rock, a seat he had not earned. A seat he could never earn now. His green eyes narrowed; the same green eyes that his children and his children's kits had inherited. His angry gaze was yanked away by Morningstar's sudden approach, and he was filled with shock that Thrushstar had been killed so quickly. Of course he was old and weak and still recovering from the life of an exile, but Leopardfang still hadn't expected it to be so... quick. Certainly not painless. Violence was breaking out across the clearing in small patches here and there, but Leopardfang stayed glued to his spot by his limp leader's side, snarling at Morningstar defensively. It was concerning that the old tomcat was not rising, but he had learned something new during his exile. His belief in StarClan, though shaky and uncertain, had been revived. They would return Thrushstar at their own pace. Hearing the cry rise up from the throats of his fellow exiles and from some of the ones who had stayed behind, a strong feeling of unity filled him to the brim and he raised his voice to join in the call.

"We are here, StarClan!"

When Morningpaw had first left her Clan, she had been young and foolish with her head in the clouds and her imagination running wild, but now, as she marched into the clearing alongside the cats whom she had went on the journey with, she stood taller than she had ever had. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with a wisdom that was far beyond her age, and she had certainly grown in size and in maturity ever since that night she had disappeared from ThunderClan without a trace. She repeated the words that had been repeated by others, "We are here StarClan!"
As she scanned the clearing, she spotted the familiar figures and faces of her Clanmates, and her family. There would be time for a proper family reunion later, though.

Frostedgaze's amber eyes met Wrenpaw's blue gaze, and she knew the question that she had silently asked her. No, she hadn't found him. Frostedgaze would've helped Wrenpaw search for her brother, but she didn't know what he looked like. The ShadowClan she-cat looked away from her friend, her attention being drawn towards the strange cats that were suddenly coming into view. Whoever they were, they were on StarClan's side, which was a good thing. She noticed other cats take up the chant that had been started by the strange cat in the lead. She looked up at Morningstar, We are here StarClan!" She called out as loud as she could.

A smile began growing on Cinderpaw's face as four words were repeated over and over again by the cats that were loyal to StarClan. The WindClan she-cat said it without hesitation, "We are here StarClan!" She yowled, joyfully, yet with determination in her eyes.

"We are here StarClan!" Vixenheart said. The amber fire in her eyes was still there, and it would never be put out until the Dark Forest was out of her life and the life of everyone else sitting here in Fourtrees and back at the camps of the Clans. Her gaze was still fixed on Morningstar and her tail lashed. He would certainly lose today, along with every other Dark Forest ghost here, and the Dark Forest converted cats would hopefully be turned back to the light. That was only if good beat evil tonight...it had to...it just had to. Vixenheart would give her last breathe to defend StarClan and the code.

Eveningsong noticed at Snowstorm had found her, and Eveningsong had found Snowstorm. A growl had begun to rise in her throat until the StarClan loyal cats began chanting. She was confused, she had no clue what to do. What were they doing? She glared at the cats that began to enter the clearing, those were the ones that had started this stupid chant. She also glanced at Morningstar. At his word, she would attack.

Blackpaw felt strange. All cats were swirling around Morningstar, their chant simply rising in audibility. Blackpaw scuttled backwards, ears lowering.

Nightpaw, who had been hiding between the shadows until then, not wanting to come out and join the Dark Forest loyalist in the gathering, finally stepped out with her head held high. She wasn’t surprised with Saltpelt’s actions, nothing else could be expected from a usurper like her, a usurper that she wish wasn’t related to. However, since Breezeheart, her mother, had decided to stand at her side her gaze reflected sorrow, feeling betrayed and confused to no end, but that wasn’t going to stop her. She took a step forwards as the StarClan loyalists started their chant, her eyes still locked on Saltpelt and Breezeheart “We are here, StarClan!” Her voice was clear and loud, she wasn’t going to keep her mouth shut anymore.

Owlpaw had been witnessing the killings at the gathering calmly, wondering how stupid those cats had to be to defy the powerful Dark Forest if they knew that the only thing they were going to get in the end was death by their claws. His own claws started to scratch the dirt under them as he secretly wished that he could fight too, but he decided against that unless it was necessary. His expression was soon replaced by surprise and confusion as the cats started to chant around him, he immediately looked at Amberclaw who was sitting at his side, wishing that his mentor could tell him what he was supposed to do now.

Moonlight was indeed shocked by the sudden bloody turn that the gathering had taken, unsure of what she was supposed to do. The chant of the StarClan followers soon marked the start of an internal fight for the newly appointed warrior, part of her wanted to join and the other wanted to make them shut up. With a troubled gaze, Moonlight immediately looked at Crowstar on top of the Great Rock, hoping that he wasn’t as confused as her and she could follow his example.

Blizzardshine stood up with Scorchfrost’s words, the existence of the rebel group was finally revealed, so she didn’t need to act like it they didn’t existed anymore. It was easy to tell that the young she-cat wasn’t the naïve kit that she had been for so long, and though she still was a cheerful cat that thought that everyone had a good side even if they weren’t aware of it, the training with Scorchforst forced her to acknowledge that not everything in his world could be solved through words and smiles, sometimes she would need to unsheathe claws to achieve the peace and happiness that she wished for her and the other clans. This was one of those situations. She just hoped that no more lives had to be lost “We are here, StarClan!”

Morningstar's ears went flat as more and more cats flooded the clearing. This wasn't right. StarClan was gone. Why were the idiots chanting? Fur rising. "You may be here! But they are NOT." His voice rose past the clearing. "They've abandoned you! You call for them, but they do not respond. They cannot hear your cries!" His tail lashed from side to side, anger filling him. "You are cowards. Your loyalty is weak. You switch to one side because you think it is winning. There is no redemption for you."

Stormpaw didn't care what Morningstar said, he would never convince Stormpaw that StarClan wasn't there. The gray apprentice said the words himself as well.
"We are here, StarClan!" He shouted.
He had been thoroughly confused when the other cats began entering true clearing, but all confusion had left him when Morningpaw had arrived, and even though she didn't spot him out, he could see her clearly. Through all the happenings in the clearing, a smile was on his muzzle.

It was Wrenpaw this time who joined in, also ignoring Morningstar's words. She sat closer to Frostedgaze, hearing her friend start chanting as well. At the last Gathering, she had been afraid of Morningstar, but this time, she wasn't. When the new cats began entering the clearing, she didn't question them being here. All that mattered was that they were on StarClan's side, and StarClan's side needed all the followers they could get.

Night stopped chanting. He yowled loud so everyone could hear. "Listen to me! I 'joined' the dark forest as a double agent! I know the truth! StarClan didn't abandon us! The dark forest drove them out! Don't let his lies drain your faith!" he yowled, before continuing.

Blackpaw's eyes were wide, showing bewilderment. He huddled closer to Stormpaw, ears twitching. "You'd know more than I do," Blackpaw said. "What exactly is StarClan?" Blackpaw seemed a bit afraid that this would offend his grey-pelted uncle, and yet he asked it with visible ease.

Oakcloud looked around in panic. Then she took an unexpected move. She stood with the exiles. She faced her old dark forest friends yowling, "We are Here, Starclan!"

Otterpaw looked in surprise as Scorchfrost start attacking Lionsong. She scrambled up, her hind legs making a terrible scratching noise, she honestly hated it but somehow got through the shivers that went down her back.

Stormpaw glanced at Blackpaw, "They are the spirits of our warrior ancestors. When a cat dies, either two things happen to them. They join StarClan if they were good during their life, but if they did horrible things and committed crimes during their life, they're sent to the Dark Forest to join these fox-hearted ghostly fools." He said.

"Okay, thanks," Blackpaw mewed, with a nod, face hot with embarrassment. This was a battle about two things - one of which he hated, and one of which he hadn't known about until now. But hearing the words of Stormpaw, he now knew which side he had taken.
