A sedge in the barn [Oepn]

Gentlenose nodded, watching her kits play. "I wonder what the future holds in store for them...?" she mused. Would her kits grow up into fine, strong warriors? Or was there something more sinister awaiting them? Gentlenose shuddered at the thought of her precious kits in danger. "I'll protect them no matter what," she was determined to stay strong for her kits.

Sedgekit tumbled over to his mother's feet, he smiled and leaped up "You pushed me!" he mewed, running to the stop of the hay stack he batted at the air.

Blizzardkit got up, laughing and not caring one bit about the bits of hay stuck on her long fur as she ran after her brother. As soon as she could reach him she started to playfully batting at him, mostly his face to annoy him a bit, careful to be gentle and keep her claws sheathed and not get carried away by the game.

Sedgekit jumped off and landed on top of his sister, he rolled her over and pinned her down with sheathed claws.

Blizzardkit fell with her brother on top of her, clearly not expecting to be pinned down again this soon “Awww…not fair!” She chuckled between her words, trying to push him off her again.

"Yes fair!" he mewed purring, he jumped onto his mother, he slipped a couple of times while climbing up but sat down "Cant get me!" he taunted with a laugh.

Gentlenose gasped in mock terror as Sedgekit climbed onto her. "Oh no, it's the great Sedgekit, mighty warrior of Lionclan! Blizzardkit, you must save me!" she cried out playfully.

Blizzardkit ran after Sedgekit, trying to jump onto their mother as well, but was clearly having some trouble to hold on without using her claws for grip, since she didn’t want to hurt her “I’ll get you! Just wait and see!”.

It took her several tries to reach her littermate, but as soon as she did she pounced on him playfully “Told you!” She purred, proud of herself.

Lakesong purred. "I'm sure they'll become great things some day. They both seem like quite the warrior already."

Sedgekit struggled again from his sisters grip, he heard the warrior speak again "Or maybe even leaders!" he eyes grew wide, he pushed off Blizzardkit and stumbled to his feet again "You think we can Blizzardkit?" he turned to his littermate and purred.

Blizzardkit raised her head, looking at the warrior, not noticing that he had been here all along until now, when her brother focused his attention on him. She almost fell off Gentlenose when she was pushed off by Sedgekit, but managed to keep her balance on her “Of course! Blizzardstar and Sedgestar, greatest ThunderClan leaders ever!” Blizzardkit was clearly excited with the idea, almost bouncing on her spot.

Lakesong purred. "Well let's hope you make it to be leaders!" The big fluffy light brown tabby Tom meowed.

"Well..." Gentlenose purred. "If you want to be leaders... You'll have to defeat the great fox queen!" Gentlenose reared up, imitating a fox's growl.

Blizzarkit smiled and rushed to get right in front of her mother, taking the most threatening posture she could come up with, though let’s be honest here, even with those attempts this little kit looked way too cute.

“I’ll defeat you, fox queen!” With that Blizzardkit started to bat at her mother’s muzzle with both paws, but never using her claws.

"No! Sedgestar the all mighty will defeat the fox queen first!" he raced towards his mother and hit into her trying to knock her off her feet. When that failed he climbed on her pelt and dug his 'sharp' claws into her back, though they were unsheathed it didn't mean he was hurting her, he was just playing a little easy on his mother so he wouldn't hurt her to much, and so he wouldn't get in trouble.
