March's Gathering 2016

Struck so hard with confusion that she could not speak, Fishstar watched as a dark scarlet seeped over the moon's characteristic milky-white colouring. It was like blood on white fur. The RiverClan leader dragged her eyes back down to the Gathering. What in the world had just happened? Had a fight broken out somewhere? Her gaze swept across the gathered cats, combing through rows and rows of pelts to see if she could spot anything going on. Nothing abnormal could be seen or heard, though, aside from some worried meows and concerned stares, both up at the leaders and the angry red moon. Either somebody must have done something to upset StarClan to a degree that they'd never been upset before, or it was an omen of some sort.. She'd have to discuss this with Mistfeather after the Gathering was over. This was definitely not normal.

Spottedstar's growl was what snapped Fishstar out of her troublesome thoughts. As much as she loathed the she-cat, the ThunderClan leader had a point. Fishstar hadn't spoken yet. She'd been distracted by her uneasy musings for a while.

Stepping forward, Fishstar sat at the edge of the Great Rock and cleared her throat. "RiverClan has been living quite comfortably this past moon, as well. We were gifted with several new warriors, apprentices, and a healthy bunch of new kits. Our territory has finally begun to thaw after such a cold Leafbare, and prey had become much easier to come by as of late." She looked to Crowstar, a touch of sadness entering her gaze, now. "I caught wind of Breezestar's death a sunrise ago. It is a difficult thing, to lose your leader and friend, and RiverClan as a whole offers you our condolences. I personally wish you many prosperous moons to come.'

Darkflight gazer at the sky with confusion and then horror. Her yellow eyes had turned orange with the addition of the red moon hanging in the sky. Every star was gone. What had happened? She gazed at the cats around her, most of them terrified, but some seemed strangely confident. The usually optimistic she-cat's fur rose in suspicion. Did they know something about this? She shook her head. They could be dealt with later. Right now, everyone had to stay calm, if mass panic broke out, who knew what would happen.

Spiderfur's breath caught in her throat. The moon was no longer a benign white orb in the sky. It was a bleeding, empty corpse hanging above them. Panic bubbled up inside her and she looked around with wide, terrified eyes. "Harepaw!" the tiny cat called out to her son. He had to be safe. "Harepaw!"

Why was everything so quiet all of a sudden? She couldn't go deaf too. The Riverclan she-cat jumped at a sudden voice inside her head. This voice did not belong here, but what it said was promising. They were more powerful than Starclan now. Still, she didn't know why every other cat was panicking. Fogheart sniffed around in confusion. Oh, right. Some cats could see. Irritated, she asked to no one in particular, "What happened?" Unbeknownst to her, the red light made her appear as if she was already dripping with blood.

Pineeye glanced up at the sky, confused as to why the clearing had suddenly been thrown into darkness. "What in- oh," his unfinished question was answered by a soft, familiar voice in his head. It was their time, wasn't it? The chocolate tabby raised his head to look for his new allies, slightly surprised that his deputy seemed to hear something too.

Crowstar flinched when he heard the venomous whisper. They rise? Did that mean he would be getting more strength from them? Those cats did promise him power, and they did promise to help him be the best deputy at the time of meeting them. Maybe they would still help him be the best leader? The black leader wasn't too phased by the moon changing color but it was still shocking. The leader kept a calm composure. Their rising, would mean greatness for Skyclan, and that is all he needed. He was done being pushed around. "Well it seems this gathering is over now." The leader turned away from the others, and jumped off the rock. "Skyclan! Let's go home!" With that the leader lead his clan away from the gathering area.

Dawnfower felt terror grow inside her. The growing silence, and then the faint screams and cries of thousands. What was happening? What was going on? Her eye grew wide with fear as she watched the moon change colors, even for a brief moment. She didn't like it. They needed to leave, but Thrushstar ignored any protests, even Silverfern's attempts to get them to leave. She didn't like it. She didn't like it at all. She wanted to speak up, and say something but it didn't take long for the gathering to be over. She was on edge, and it wouldn't take much for the Shadowclan Medicine cat to snap. "Thrushstar! We need to leave now. And I need to speak with you." She said with a slight hiss in her voice. Why couldn't the leader just have listened? The have been here to long, they needed to leave.

Jaypaw looked up at Crowstar and back at Danedelionpaw "Bye..." he mewed sadly "I'll see you at the next gathering!" he stood up and looked at his mentor.

Dreamleaf froze. Fear tore through her and she turned to the other Medicine Cats. Is this what Starclan had warned her about? Her amber eyes were filled with terror but she kept a calm posture. She forced calmness to cover any other emotion, but her fear was too strong.
"I had a dream about this," Dreamleaf hardly whispered. She stared at the leaders and stood up.
"Spottedstar! We must leave immediately!" Dreamleaf called from her spot, her voice contorted with fear. What were they going to do? Dreamleaf closed her eyes and looked up to the sky, staring at the moon, now tainted as red as blood.

Bluesong stared at the sky in disbelief. Her eyes were wide with panic. What was happening? Bluesong looked at the clearing and held back any noise.

Wildfang crouched down and kept his eyes on the leaders. He didn't dare look at the sky, he knew bad things were happening right now.

Spottedstar looked around, then her Medicine Cat spoke out to her. Skyclan was leaving, and surely the other clans would to. Getting closer to Sablestar, she whispered "I would like to speak to you sometime soon." and with that, she was ready to leave. "Thunderclan, lets go!" she yowled, leaving the Great Rock and the gathering.

Dreamleaf nodded her head to the remaining Medicine Cats then swept away and joined Spottedstar. She kept glancing at the sky warily.

Bluesong followed Spottedstar and fell behind Dreamleaf as she waited for the rest of Thunderclan.

Thinstripe nodded "Come on Dandelionpaw" she walked over to Spottedstar, Dreamleaf, and Bluesong.

Elkheart nodded his head and promptly padded out of the clearing

Deadpool nudged Moonlight "Its time to go..." he mewed quietly as he stood up and waited for his mate to follow.

That only kind of worked... With an audible sigh, Thrushstar looked at the other leaders for a moment before half of them took off with their clans. That was a good sign, at least, that everyone was leaving in a calm manner. It as Dawnflower's voice that finally brought his attention back to his own clan. "Shadowclan, let's get going." There wasn't much else to be said about the situation other than he felt something was seriously wrong. He couldn't figure out what, but dread filled the pit of his stomach. Leaping off of the rock, he walked through the clearing and led his clan back to their camp.

Eaglepaw took a finale look at the warrior and back at Webpaw "Let's go" she mewed heading over to Thrushstar.

Fallencloud and Ghostpelt got up and followed Crowstar.

Mapledrop followed after her nephew and the leaders daughter.

Cloverpool gently nudged Frozenflame up and guided him away over to Thunderclan.

Moonlight nodded got up following close behind her mate.

Oceanpaw cried seeing the red moon. She heard cries and wails. They sounded like the cries she heard in the dream she had, in the meeting. What does it mean?!

Night looked back. He saw the red moon too. He was confused. He ran into the clearing. His eyes widened.

Snowstorm and Swiftpaw did too.

oh yeah and they all left

Harepaw heard Spiderfur's voice and wove his way through the crowd to get to his distressed mother.He thin form easily getting through the cats around him. His fur stood on end as he stared at his mother, this gathering wasn't a very good first impression on him..

Webpaw scanned the crowd for more allies that didn't show fear to the bloodied moon before leaving, ghosting the back of his clan's members. Finally something was being done.
