Hungry for Power

Honeypaw let out a cry as she was suddenly tackled by the larger warrior, flinching as she felt claws rank down her belly. Pain flashed though her, causing her to struggle to escape the warrior's grip. Finally doing so, she stumbled backwards as she thought about fleeing. She couldn't fight; she would be a better asset in the nursery with her sister at this point! However, watching her Clan fight she swallowed, turning to Shadeclaw as she let out a soft growl; which could be said to be nothing more than a squeak. She paused before leaping forward, striking Shadeclaw with her paws but it was easy to tell that she hadn't gotten any true training. However, after stumbling back; almost expecting to be attack, she let out a small whine as she folded her ears back on her head. She was going to die; wasn't she? However, after a few moments she calmed herself. No; it was against the Warrior Code for this warrior to kill her and ShadowClan was at least loyal to that...weren't they? "Please..." she suddenly mewed, as she watched and waited for her to be attacked by Shadeclaw. "I-I don't want to fight..."

Nightcloud let out a yowl as she leaped forward from her spot, ready to attack but as her eyes scanned over the battle. She noticed her apprentice attacking a ThunderClan warrior with Fawnpaw and Gingerheart; and while she was sure that they could handle herself; she wanted this battle over as quickly as she could. With a growl, she charged at Mossfur; only to slid to a stop next to him. She quickly spun and with a yowl, threw all of her weight into her front paws and kicked out with her back ones, striking the warrior, but being careful not to hit Fawnpaw or knock her off of the warrior's back.

Occ: Sorry about budding in here; but Mossfur is the only cat I can currently attack (due to Dewclaw and Mossstar charging Lightning Strike) unless I want to attack an elder or my own cat who is clearly not even a threat. Curse me for not getting on when we finally start this battle...

Shadeclaw blinked as he felt a drop of blood fall down his cheek from the shallow blow the apprentice had dealt on him. It hardly bled at all. Was that all she could do? He tipped his head as she began to beg to him. He wondered if this was an act to fool him. But he was't a cruel cat. The poor thing obviously had no real training. He got into a fighting stance, narrowing his eyes just in case she attacked. He could easily beat her even if she did happen to suddenly pull a trick on him anyways. "Why are you even fighting then?" He growled, not wanting to seem nice to an enemy during battle in front of the entire clan, but not planning on attacking her yet. His icey eyes betrayed his feeling of sympathy, though. "Go hide in the Nursery, coward." He snapped, lashing out a claw but purposefully missing. He risked a wink to reassure her then backed off a few steps, perking his ears and acting distracted so she could get away.

Lionheart growled lowly as he watched Honeypaw be attacked by one of Shadowclan's warriors. She hadn't even had battle training yet. He figured he should do something, though there wasn't much he could do. However, he paused as the tom seemed to allow her a heartbeat to make an escape while he "wasn't looking". What in the name of Starclan...? He thought. But he didn't hesitate to call towards the she-cat.
"Honeypaw! Over here!"

Sagestar sniffed as the new leader spun around and headed for the bushes. He whipped his head around and found that their deputy had done the same. The tom narrowed his eyes, "Cowards!" He shouted after their fleeting bodies. But something wasn't right. There was no way, he believed, that they would just leave behind their hurt and weak like that. This wasn't possibly over. His green gaze shot around, looking for any sign of them hiding in the wall of undergrowth. The tom backed up, slowly coming to Nightwing's side. "If they were smart, they'd surrender already." He hissed in her ear, "Then we could move on to more pressing matters." Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Shadeclaw look the other way as a small apprentice fled. Strange, he thought, but no matter - their point was made. The tom must've had a good reason.

Mossstar then yowled in fury, near roared as he charged from the bushes. He rammed his head into Sagestars side and clawed him rapidly. "You will not hurt my Clan!" He roared, leaping away before the other tom could attack him. Then he began circling the ShadowClan leader, snarling and tail flicking in fury.

Mossstar used Lightning Strike dealing 25 damage and costing 35 stamina.

Honeypaw let out a small whisper of 'thank you' over and over when she saw Shadeclaw giving her a chance to flee. She quickly turned and pelted across the clearing, her ears flicking at the sound of Lionheart calling her name and the sound of Sagestar's talking before a yowl from Mossstar. She didn't dare to look back as she hurried into the nursery. She finally came to a stop when she knew she was safe, quickly scanning the nursery for her sister. She barely noted the blood that ran down her chest from the wound that the ShadowClan warrior had given her. She was to focused on making sure her sister was safe.


Nightcloud gaze flickered from her fight with Mossfur, barely seeing the yellow apprentice turn and flee from Shadeclaw, who had been distracted by something. Of course, she had a feeling he had let her run. Ah, how nice to know he has a soft side. She thought with a grin, before turning back to the fight she was dealing with, having failed to notice that Mossfur was the only ThunderClan in the clearing until she heard a loud yowl, quickly placing it as Mossstar's. Her gaze once again broke from her current fight to see Sagestar and Mossstar once again fighting. When will this end? I don't want to see anybody badly hurt...Thought Mossfur isn't looking so good. Four against one isn't the most fair battle I guess...

Ic: Lionheart breathed a sigh of relief. "Are you alright? Whatever happened out there, it's good that you got away." He meowed, giving Honeypaw a worried look. Turning back to the fight, he dug his dulled, chipped claws into the ground, narrowing his eyes and watching the fighting cats. He dared one of them to try to touch the Nursery; they wouldn't last a heartbeat!

Shadeclaw quickly leaped back into battle, coming up behind Mossstar to help Sagestar. He his in the shadows, his dark-colored pelt helping him blend in. He crouched, completely still so it was harder to see him.

The deputy's ear's flattened to the back of her head. The ThunderClan cats had disappeared into the camp wall. Nightwing could tell that they weren't actually gone. Taking the time that she had, the she-cat glanced around at her clanmates. There were definitely a lot of ShadowClan cats compared to ThunderClan. Suddenly the breeze picked up, the scent of the hidden ThunderClan warriors drifted down wind. Blue eyes flashed, then turned to where she could barely pick up the scent. The forest like smell was ever present, the fight had came to a halt, ShadowClan's warriors most likely frustrated at their ThunderClan opponent. Much like how Nightwing was feeling.

Mossfur decided it was time to retreat. She was getting tired and 3 against one wasn't giving her any good chances of winning. She turned to flee.
OOC: What happened to giving them a chance to attack?! :(  Anyone can replace me. Also I'm a warrior not a young warrior.

I'm tired. Tired of feeling weak. What does winning my personal battle matter if we lose the Clan battle? Dewclaw's gaze landed on the ShadowClan tom that was the physical heart and soul of the invaders. Leader battles were between leaders; they determined the dominant force and made the attackers flee in terror. No cat would interrupt one. I would do anything for my Clan. For my leader. Nightwing was no longer her concern. Nor were the warriors that just sent Mossfur running. Her top priority was giving Mossstar the edge needed to finish the older tom that was infinitely more experienced. She chose the moment after Mossstar's attack to dash in and deliver a nasty headbutt to the ShadowClan leader that was already slightly dazed by Mossstar's strike.

Shadeclaw let out a growl as a she-cat suddenly charged in and attacked Sagestar. He raced forward, shooting out of the shadows and barreling Dewclaw over, clawing at her viciously before leaping off. "Back off, lizard-brain!" He snapped, lashing his tail in annoyance.

Welp. Ebs made a post, and it was beautiful, but she lost it like a moron and now she's sad and so you have to deal with this small one.

Sagestar flicked an ear, the total element of the great ThunderClan leader's surprise attack ruined the moment he sprang out of the bushes yowling like a frog-brain. He rolled with the tom and took his hits, but managed to kick himself away and gain some distance long enough for him to get back on his feet. He grabbed the tabby by the scruff and shook him fiercely, hoping that would daze him long enough for him to get his footing again. What he didn't expect, though, was the deputy to come at him - he had thought she had affairs with Nightwing. "Was Nightwing too much for you?" He hissed, struggling to get away with her this time before Shadeclaw had saved him. The cat got up and dusted himself off quickly, ready now for any more surprises. He noticed a young warrior retreating out of the corner of this eye, "ShadowClan, lets end this quickly!" He yowled.

Sagestar used scruff-shake on Mossstar, stunning him for one turn; costing 25 stamina and dealing 10 damage.

Nightcloud frowned as she watched Mossfur run off, before turning her head to face the two last remaining cats. Mossstar and Dewclaw...Her mind raced as she attempted to figure out which one to help fight, but seeing how it looked like Sagestar was handling Mossstar well, she raced toward the deputy with a hiss. She came to a stop near Dewclaw before raising her paws and striking the silver she-cat as hard as she could as she flashed a quick smile at Shadeclaw. No way was she going to let him fight the deputy alone!

Shadeclaw was lucky to have Nightcloud to help- she would have torn him limb from limb in her fury. Dewclaw snapped angrily at Shadeclaw and Nightcloud before shaking them off. "Nightwing wasn't worth my time!" She hissed. Her wounds were starting to sting and her energy had lost its edge. But she would not give up, not as long as she could still bite and scratch. She summoned up strength enough to jump halfway up a nearby tree and leap off, spinning in mid-air, to batter the ShadowClan leader with four sets of thorn-sharp claws.

Dewclaw used Tree Spring on Sagestar, dealing 20 damage and using 25 stamina.
