Sagestar's emerald eyes glinted as he led his patrol through the tunnels under the Thunderpath, sunset falling behind Highstones and soon leaving the entire darkness of the night - where his clan was most comfortable. It was the perfect time for them to move. Even rubbing shoulders with WindClan constantly, his clan was much better off in terms of prey. There were no more trips to Carrionplace for scraps of filthy rats and crow-food, at least for now, they seemed to be safe and secure. Still, even with their bellies full, the ShadowClan leader's hunger wasn't satisfied. With the position that they were in, the gray tabby tom wanted to secure his clan's position of power in the forest; which meant taking out their biggest threats.
The way he saw it, ThunderClan had been a thorn in his paw for far too long and would simply get in the way of his newly thriving Clan. He brought his warriors out here today to, if not defeat them and put them in their place, then to at least cripple them. If he could put his claws in their side, it'd make things easier on them in the oncoming moons - as well as doing Froststar a favor. It's easier to steal a bunch of rocks from a clan who can hardly stand on their own four feet.
"Stay on your guard." He hissed behind him to his clanmates, "This is their land and they know it well better than us." He flicked his tail, crouching low to the ground and watching for the undergrowth. The ground was crisp, but his paws had adjusted ever since they'd been able to practice under SkyClan's trees, allowing them to move just as quietly here. He had a vague idea in his head of where ThunderClan camp was. If they were fortunate, they could strike them in the heart of their land.

Cinderpaw nodded, a sly grin darkening her already dark ashen-grey features. It was her first battle outside of battle training; and she desperately wanted to show off her skills to her mentor and leader. It was the perfect opportunity in her mind, to show that she's capable to be something more than a silly apprentice. She wasn't even all that scared, even though the possibility of getting hurt loomed over her thoughts. ThunderClan was full of themselves anyway, considering they obviously weren't too well off, they would always try to act high and mighty no matter what. They needed a stern kick in the arse to show them who's boss.

Nightcloud swallowed as she padded after Sagestar, freezing when they reached the undergrowth; making sure to stay close to her apprentice. Part of her was excited, she would finally be part of a fight. She had waited to long to use the training that she had gotten from Sagestar, and she wasn't about to let him down...But the other half of her was scared to death. She didn't completely understand why they were attacking nor did she want to fight, but after a few moments to roll the thought around in her head her eyes narrowed. What was she thinking? She was a ShadowClan cat; and ShadowClan cats were strong and proud, not weak by wondering if she should just let the other Clans do what they wanted! ShadowClan needed to show that they were the strongest Clan in the forest, that they weren't a force to be messed with! She took a small step forward, a soft growl escaping her lips as her yellow eyes glimmered in the faint moonlight that the trees allowed to pass but she remained quite and unseen in her hiding spot. She was going to make Sagestar proud; and besides, she had never really liked ThunderClan in the first place. Always acting to high and mighty when they were the weakest Clan around. They had to show that they weren't on the top of the world anymore, and ShadowClan was just the Clan to do that.

A few meters away from the leader, was the deputy. Her icy gaze fixed ahead, and her ears rotated toward eve the smallest noise. The ground she was crouched on, was very diffrent from the heartland of ShadowClan territory. Personally, she liked the marsh better then the grass. The grass was very annoying, not to mention the brambles that liked to tear at her fur. If she re tracked her steps, she would certainly find clumps of her dark fur stuck to the bushes.

Nightwing glanced at her clanmates. She was confident that they would be able to take on this task. The deputy nodded at Sagestar and flicked her tail to make sure the other cats had heeded the leader's words. She turned her eyes to where most of the sents of ThunderClan were eminateing from.

Gingerheart was not too far behind, her muscles aching for some kind of excitement. This was exactly what she had been waiting for and here it was. It had been a long time since she was in Thunderclan territory, the last time being when she was just an apprentice, but now she was ready. She was prepared and ready to fight. Whether Lionstar was there or not, even Mosspelt, she was ready. She silently followed behind the Shadowclan leader and Nightwing, trying to find any trace of Thunderclan cats around them. Originally the smells of the forest had overwhelmed her, but she was able to discern what scents belonged to what before finally picking up a few stale trails. But after only a few moments, she was able to pick up on the smells that Nightwing had found. This was it. Now or never. Taking one final deep breath to calm herself, she continued on.

Fawnpaw yawned, heading towards ThunderClan territory with the rest of her clanmates. She didn't understand why they were attacking, or why they needed to, but since Blackstar insisted, they have to fight. Not quite excited or nervous as her fellow warriors and apprentices, she was pretty bored at the fact of having to go and do this fight. ThunderClan's weak and they would be no fun to battle. Why not target WindClan or RiverClan? WindClan was big, but most of their clan was apprentices, so that should be easy. On the other hand, they might be destroyed by the mass amount of the clan. Perhaps RiverClan? She had scented the fishy cats heading towards Sunningrocks, which left their clan vulnerable. That would still be an easy fight, but more fun. The she-cat had always wanted to feel water under her paws, but it was a bit of a silly idea. Shrugging, her brown pelt could easily blend in with ThunderClan's undergrowth, and because it was similar to that in SkyClan's forest, she was already used to everything. Now, for this battle...

Shadeclaw prowled through the shadows, scrunching his nose at the scent of Thunderclan territory, which he was not yet used to. Sure, the trees and undergrowth added more shade and darkness for the clan to go through, but it also added more difficulties. Shadowclan wasn't exactly complete open space like Windclan, but it wasn't this thick either. He figured he'd get used to it eventually though.
Flexing his claws, Shadeclaw grinned, adrenaline pumping in his veins. This could be a fun fight, since Shadowclan was in great numbers. Thunderclan didn't stand a chance.

Lionheart yawned, stretching and making his way into the elders' den, rather content with his retirement but still glancing back with the occasional instinct that made him feel like he had to hold the whole clan on his old shoulders still.

Maplepaw slunk close behind the leader and her mentor, Sagestar. A sly look was on her face as she sneaked through the unknown territory. It was her first battle, and her claws were itching to fight.

Shadepaw padded after the deputy/his mentor. His eyes shone with excitement for her first battle (is it a battle?). Hee was a ShadowClan cat, and ShadowClan never shows fear. He winced as a bramble but kept going, his gaze straight ahead and his ears twitching. He never understood why they had to attack ThunderClan but he didn't protest, since that would be going against Sagestar, and it was a stupid question. His gold eyes scanned the forest and she huffed. I don't like ThunderClan territory," he thought bitterly. They make my paws itch and there are too many thorns!. But, he had to agree that it was a pretty good way of keeping enemies out, but it wouldn't stop ShadowClan.

Mossstar had been out in the middle of the territory hunting before a smell he despised hit his nostrils. ShadowCLan! On my territory! Oh no they don't! he thought, wheeling towards camp. As he ran he growled, this would be his first battle as leader and he wouldn't let his Clan lose. He burst into camp and yowled ""ShadowClan is attacking! One warrior and one apprentice stay behind. Every other warriors and apprentices come with me!" He turned, watching for the patrol to come.

Lionstar looked over in shock. What? Mossstar only just became leader. Shadowclan, why couldn't you pick a better time to attack? He thought with a low growl in his throat. What was Sagestar even planning, raiding their territory like this? It wasn't like they had any territory they needed. Then again, Shadowclan was known for being excessively greedy. "Fox-hearted mouse-brains..." Lionstar grumbled, looking away.

Shadeclaw perked his ears. Was that the sound of a yowl he heard? Just in the distance, perhaps they had been scented by a passing cat. Did anyone else hear that? He asked to himself, though didn't dare say it out loud in case some other Thunderclan cats were sneaking around. Perhaps the battle was about to start...

"What in the name of StarClan could they possibly want!?" Dewclaw was furious. "They can't live in the trees and underbrush, they'd scare away the prey and just wind up hurting themselves!" It was obviously just an assertion of power. StarClan wouldn't permit them victory of such a useless battle! I hope...

Honeypaw looked up in surprise, her eyes wide. What? ShadowClan was attacking? Her fur fluffed up in fear, slowly getting to her paws. This wasn't going to be pretty at all, was it? She swallowed as she noted one very important thing...she had yet to get battle training. With Whitefoot being so busy, and with Lionheart having retired, she hadn't had much time for training due to the Clan being a bit chaotic...She quietly couched down as she stared at the entrance of the camp. Guess she was going to be the apprentice that stayed behind.

Nightcloud paused from her spot, her ears flickering at the faint sound in the wind. She muttered under her breath as she realized what the noise must of been, her claws digging into the ground. Sounded like ThunderClan knew about them, and that meant the battle was about to start...

Mossfur was finishing a vole when she heard Mosstar yell. Her ears pricked up and she jumped up. This was her first battle! Pretty odd that she had been a warrior for a decent amount of time before this. She was not going to be left behind. She raced through the tunnel to catch up to Mosstar.
