| As Mishka and Lilacsong squared up against each other, Amberfluff watched from a distance. She had no wish to partake in the games personally, merely stand by and watch. And besides, who was she going to fight anyways? | He had been waiting for his chance, and he spotted it as he saw the she-cat sitting patiently. Making his way to stand in front of her, the tom lowered his head respectfully before mewing in a low, rough voice. "Shall we be opponents? Forgive me, I don't know your name." He waited for the she-cat to respond and be ready before he lurched forward, lashing a sheathed paw at her.

| Downtuft had to stifle a growl as an Asylum cat approached his former apprentice. Don't trust him, Day. He willed, staring daggers into the tom. Should the Asylum cat be foolish enough to use claw, or Finchstar forbid fangs, Downtuft would not hesitate to rip him to shreds. The sandy tom's lips pulled into a snarl and his tail lashed as be watched. | Dayspring was a bit taken aback when an Asylum cat was the first one to approach her. If she had known that she'd end up fighting one of them, the chances of her staying behind in camp would've been higher. However, she managed to remain somewhat poised as the strange cat greeted her.
"Dayspring," She responded, quietly, "I'm Dayspring, and yeah, um, we can fight I guess."
The tom seemed to waste no time as he made the first move, but the she-cat figured that she would have to actually try hard if she was going to win. Her eyes met Downtuft's for only a couple of heartbeats before she sprang forwards and tackled the Asylum cat in a quick attempt to get the upper hand.

| The tackle had caught the tom off guard, and he sputtered as snow went up his nose. Looking up at the she-cat, he grinned sheepishly, ear twitching in embarrassment as he attempted to blink the melting snow out of his eyes. "You got me! I give. You win." He mewed, waiting for her to get off of him before standing and shaking out his pelt. "Please forgive me for not being a better adversary, Dayspring. Perhaps we will see each other again soon." With a final nod of his head and a flick of his tail, he disappeared among the crowd.

| Lilacsong panted after her match with Mishka, too out of breath to speak, so she simply nodded. These spars sure took a lot out of a cat. She saw that Amberfluff had come to watch her, and felt a warmth rise in her chest in gratitude. She padded over, brushing up against the she cat with a few whispered words before trotting up to her next opponent.
"Hiya Maplewhisker! I guess we're opponents now! Good luck!" She purred before launching herself at the deputy, trying to wrestle her to the ground.

Maplewhisker accepted the challenge, shoving Lilacsong off of her. She steadied herself after she was shoved away, preparing to launch herself onto her opponent. She leaped, bowling Lilacsong over. Pummeling her with her back legs, she sent her sprawling away.
