"They sure are dedicated to themselves, aren't they?" Thalia mused, nodding along to Lexine's explanation. She sent Roe a grateful smile for his kind words before continuing, "They're really, really stubborn... But that just means that we need to be really, really persisent! Eventually, they're bound to come to their senses."

"Well, I wouldn't be opposed," Zinnia nodded as Spotlake approached her. Swiftly, she assumed a battle stance - though one more restrained, given that this wasn't really a fight. "On your guard, Spotlake!"

She feigned left and dove to the right as she moved forward, trying to knock her clanmate to the snowy moor. After all, it was simple: if she could attain - and keep - some sort of advantage, it would be far easier to win this match.

At Lilacsong's compliment, Mishka let out a little nervous laugh; she wasn't used to being praised. The Windclan warrior tried to use her weight against her, and it worked... at first. Just like before, the Pelt Ward managed to slip underneath her belly, escaping defeat for a second time. She tried to turn Lilacsong over, but she wasn't quite strong enough. The two of them were, surprisingly, very well matched.

Dayspring had no idea why the Asylum had to introduce these types of games to WindClan. In all honesty, she would’ve preferred to stay behind and watch the kits take on their own challenge back at camp, but she decided to tag along with the older cats instead. She was a warrior now, which meant that she had to establish herself as one and stop purposefully lagging behind. She didn’t care about the outcome of her spar, although losing in front of the older warriors would be a tad bit embarrassing, and she knew that this was all for fun and nothing serious. It was difficult for her to not worry, though. All her mind could think about was the possibility of something going wrong. She held back a small gulp as she joined the other warriors in the clearing and sat down to wait for an opponent.

Dayspring is open for any opponent.

Maplewhisker wasn't quite sure what to make of fighting her Clanmates, though she kept reminding herself that it was all just a competition, just for fun.  No matter what she told herself, she couldn't help feeling that someone was going to get hurt.  She watched as Downtuft came up to her, requesting a battle, and was glad.  Maplewhisker couldn't have asked for a better sparring partner.  
"Sure!" she responded, eager to challenge her kin, all previous doubts vanished from her mind.

Walking a good distance to get a good running start, Maplewhisker turned, darting at him.  She slid under Downtuft, thrusting herself up and launching him away.

Downtuft hissed, not angry, just not expecting that. Downtuft pushed upwards, attempting flipping Maplewhisker so that he was on top, but she was surprisingly heavy. "That was a good move! Then again, with Zinnia as your former mentor, I'd expect nothing less!" The sandy tom mewed, grinning.

Maplewhisker was liking this.  It was warming her up from the chill she had had ever since leaf-bare had begun.  Downtuft was right, Zinnia had trained her well.

She slowly took a few steps away from Downtuft, when she darted back in, swiping his paws out from under him. while he was tipped, Maplewhisk pummeled his underbelly with her hind legs, sending him sprawling across the ground.

Downtuft got to his paws immediately, regaining his balance before rearing up and slamming (gently) back down onto Maplewhisker, the both of them rolling across the moor.

Thank Finchstar they weren't in camp, or they probably would've rolled into the nursery.
