ShadowClan Deputy Interest Check [System Test Run]

As mentioned in today's earlier announcement, having received approval from the rest of the Staff Team to try something new, ShadowClan’s deputy selection process will be a little different from how it’s been done traditionally; as a test run of a potential new system going forward!

Instead of being an entirely closed-doors process, while the final decision under this system is still up to the leader, any interested parties may propose one of their own characters for consideration using the form at the end of this post so long as they meet the eligibility requirements; ensuring that every interested and eligible user is considered for the position.

The form should include an outline of the character in question, their background and personality, and should also include anything you’d like regarding what you intend to do with the position (IC or OOC) if selected.

There are a handful of conditions for user and character eligibility:

Condition #1: The proposed character must be a warrior in the requisite Clan (ie., your RiverClan warrior may not be proposed as SkyClan deputy.). This one is self-explanatory.

Condition #2: The user in question must not currently hold a High Rank in any Clan; and must not have held a High Rank in any Clan in the past three months. This is to prevent HR-hopping.

Condition #3: The user in question must currently be active on WCC (at least one character on the allegiances at time of the Interest Check announcement), and must have had at least one fully-named character on WCC within the past three months. This is to ensure that eligible users have at least a baseline familiarity with the current state of the site and its systems.

With approval from the rest of the Staff Team (in part due to limited options and in part for testing purposes), this Interest Check also allows for New Character Proposals. While these New Character Proposals are subject to all of the above eligibility conditions, the only additional requirement is that the user in question has an open character slot at the time of proposal or will have a slot within five days of being selected. If a New Character Proposal is selected as deputy, that character will be allowed to begin as a Tier 1 Warrior. They occupy the standard character slot used for their creation and otherwise receive no special benefits.

Character Personality & Background: Lilyvalley is probably one of the more.... disliked cats of ShadowClan, with how she often tries to think of herself as above others. She has struggled with maturity in the past. And yet, unlike some cats, she is trying to move on and better herself. She is also trying to be more involved in the Clan again after tragedy struck her life, and not let grief overwhelm her as much. She is now focusing on her son, Cedarkit, as well as her work as a warrior, and her devotion to Leopardstar in particular.
What do you intend to do with the position if selected?: Lilyvalley, while she knows she is not the best choice for deputy, would throw herself in her duties, although she may neglect other things, such as her social life (as if she hadn't been neglecting that anyway). As a deputy, she would probably be more focused on serving Leopardstar than the Clan, not that she would ever admit that. As for my personal plans for her, I am interested in the conflict with the cats that already hate her, and how this would affect her as a cat.
If you have previously held an HR position on WCC, what was the most recent?: I believe my last hr was Dovesight, who died during the earthquake. I am pretty sure that was more than 3 months ago.

Character Personality & Background:
Rowanheart was made a warrior only recently. Despite his charisma and popularity among cats his age, he was never a particularly skilled apprentice. He was more concerned with socializing than honing his fighting and hunting, much to his mentor's chagrin. He makes friends easily with his carefree, unbothered attitude, although he is known to be a little arrogant. His mind is always working, thinking about how to do things better, and he is outspoken about his personal beliefs even at the cost of his reputation.

Rowanheart is currently neutral about Leopardstar. He may be the popular kid, but he is shrewd enough to observe the Clan's inner workings while he socializes. While he is not overly ambitious, with Sablestrike gone he has been entertaining thoughts of becoming ShadowClan's next deputy. He fancies himself very good at diplomacy and organization and is sure he could lead ShadowClan in a positive direction.

What do you intend to do with the position if selected?:
OOC: I would work closely with Holly to lead and direct ShadowClan and its inner workings, including developing ShadowClan culture and lore, cross-Clan diplomatic relationships, and organizing events for character development. I haven't yet had the chance to play a deputy character, and I would love to give it a try!

IC: Rowanheart would be honored to be ShadowClan's deputy. He is devoted to being a good warrior for the Clan and wants to improve ShadowClan as much as he can. His opinions on how to do that may clash with Leopardstar's, but he is not afraid of speaking his mind and discussing things like adult cats. He is young and maintains a neutral stance regarding the other Clans until they really give him a reason to change his opinion.
