Silverdusk led Serpentpaw deeper into ThunderClan terriotory. It had been a long time since they themselves had dared venture this far, so it felt in a way like she was seeing the territory for the first time. It was so lush and green and alive, she would be lying is she said she hadn’t missed it. Though, as much as the silver molly was glad to be out there was still that niggling paranoia in the back of her mind about her kits. She hated that Fogkit’s death brought her comfort, because he had not been safe after all the precautions that they had taken. The anger and hatred she felt for the stars was something else, but at least it wasn’t their fault. He had died safe from any and all tangible threats, that she had made sure of. The rest of her litter was just as safe. It would not be their fault. Blaming themself would be a path to self-destruction.

Their gaze turned to her apprentice and she smiled reassuringly, hoping to ease both their minds. ”We will be hunting today. I know everyone looks forward to battle training, but hunting is just as important, if not more- it is the key to survival, Serpentpaw.” mewed Silverdusk ”When I learnt to hunt my mentor wanted to test me on what I already knew, it did not go well, but it is a good place to start. I would like you to show me what you know, and we will work from there.”
