They will be calling us royalty

Lavendercloud stretched out in her nest as the warm, bright sunlight shone through the nursery wall cracks. Blinking the sleep away from her eyes she her paws hung out of her nest and she flexed her claws as she stretched, it was cold outside her nest and she lay there looking up at the ceiling thinking about how little she wanted to get up at the moment.

Eventually, she forced her paws below her and got up and moving for the day.  She had talked earlier with necterflower and scorchivy about having a little fun day, a queens day out for them.  She purred thinking about it and the sweet and fiery queen went over to find her friends.  

As a queen, she was sweet and kind, but also very opinionated and would speak her mind with sometimes a sharp tongue.  To her, wrangling unruly kits back into line was just as easy as comforting them when they needed that as well.  She enjoyed having the newer queens in the nursery to keep her company.

“Morning queens, are we still on for our spa day?

Lavendercloud stretched with a big yawn still adjusting to waking up so late today. Scorchivy was friendly enough and she gave a purr in response she was a bit on the quiet end though not speaking much at all.

Being so close to her litter due date she probably needed this day of relaxation a lot. While Nectar had her own worries about things from her scars, Lavendercloud felt that but due to her age. She was by far the most old of the queens and she had kits that were full grown. Her son was mates with the deputy for stars sakes.

Each of them, poetically had something to worry about to themselves. Hopefully the day of relaxation, pampering and fun would allow them to destress from their inner thoughts and perhaps even help each other through them and preparing for the upcoming litter of Scorchivy's litter of kits that would soon fill the nursery again with busy times.

She wondered what all they should do, neither of her fellow queens really seemed to have much of ideas for this which left her to sort of figure something out. She frowned a bit seeing as how they were not thinking of much at all, did they really expect her to come up with all this?? She glanced at them momentarily thinking, how could they not know what they wanted? She wondered, she could think of lots of things that she would love to be pampered with. Maybe they just needed to be queens longer she thought jestfully to herself. She hummed a bit rolling a pebble under her front paws while she thought about it.

"welllll I know for me at least when I was close to due with my litter my paws were constantly killing me. I would try and get Fuzz to rub at them but he was usually busy digging around in the twoleg dump for scraps" she whispered gossiping about like queens sometimes like to do.

She flashed a bit of a smirk thinking about her old mate and how he had snuck off often to break the code and snuck lots of twoleg food back to her as well. It wasn't exactly the closest secret that she and fuzz often ignored the no twoleg scraps rule. If someone ever asked or confronted about it she would usually roll her eyes smarmily and glance at whomever had just questioned her about it and lecture them how she survived famines, wolves, and storms and that if they wanted to criticize her for sneaking a free snack they could go clean out the elders den to have a snack of fleas and ticks that they would pick off the elders. She had chased out several rule followers out of the nursery before and since then had been left alone on the subject.

"so hows about we go down to the pools nearby and soak our claws for awhile? It would let you get off your paws and maybe help with the pregnancy pains? she meowed looking at Scorchivy.

The more she thought about this the more she really liked this idea and she nodded , "oh yea! and we can get one of the apprentices to come serve us a poolside lunch, and then we can do each others hair perhaps?
