Moonkit woke that morning well rested and far more energetic than usual. She was always sleepy, even if she'd slept, but not today. Today, adventure was calling her name. It was an opportunity to do more than just lie around and wait for something interesting to happen! Which let's be honest, she rarely felt like taking advantage of such chances anyway. With a massive yawn and an even bigger stretch, Moonkit clambered over Nectarflower's side and licked her cheek before quickly scampering out of the shade of the nursery and into the sunlight. "bye momma! things to do, people to see!" She called over her shoulder at her mother's baffled meowing.
It was fair for Nectarflower to be shocked. Moonkit rarely ever left their nest much less the nursery of her own volition. Grinning, she strolled leisurely around the camp, green eyes on the lookout for a familiar, dark-pelted kit. Finally, her eyes landed on the object of her search and Moonkit moved silently to her sister, Sunkit's side. "heya sunkit, doin' anything interesting?" She drawled, eyeing the black and orange she-kit. "well, nevermind if you were. i have way more exciting things planned." With that, Moonkit pressed herself against Sunkit's side and corralled her away from whatever she'd been up to. Probably nothing important anyway.

SUNKIT."you keep begging for forgiveness, but you don't think you've done wrong." she/her - windclan kit - nectar x kestrel.
Sunkit startled as an all too familiar voice broke her daydreaming. She'd been busy staring off into space, a dreamy look crossing her features as she imagined the life that laid before her. Warrior, then deputy, then leader. Oh, it would be so great. She'd just been picturing the day she'd make Moonkit her deputy when the she-kit popped up in front of her. She'd been too lost in her thoughts, and she jumped as her sister surprised her, green eyes widening and fur fluffing out as she tried to register the threat. Oh. "Ahh! StarClan, Moonkit, you scared me!" The dappled molly was panting as she tried to catch her breath and gather herself. She couldn't even be mad - she'd found that she could never be mad at Moonkit. Unfortunately.
"I was up to something important, I'll have you know! I was making you deputy! Er, in my daydreams, but still." Even as she protested, she let herself be carried away by her sister, barely even wondering where they were going. She carried on her protesting. "It was going perfect, too, the whole Clan was about to cheer for you and - oh. Exciting? Whaddaya have planned that's exciting?" Her green gaze flashed with interest as she gave up almost immediately. The mention of plans was enough to get her to drop it. There was a bounce in Sunkit's step as she started walking alongside Moonkit again, ears pricked for any hint of these so-called exciting plans. "C'mon, c'mon, what is it?"
Moonkit smiled mischievously as her Sunkit as she tried to recover her composure, amusement glittering in her eyes. She hadn't meant to scare the black and orange she-kit, but she had to admit, it was pretty amusing. It was notoriously difficult to catch her sister off guard, so she basked in the glory of her victory for a moment - however accidental - as Sunkit caught her breath. She laughed as Sunkit complained, clearly trying to play it off, and shook her head slowly. "please." She snorted, "i'd never wanna be a deputy. too much work, eugh."
She stuck her tongue out in disgust and guided Sunkit to the edge of the camp. Her scowl only deepened as Sunkit continued, though, and she was glad when her sister finally grew interested in her scheme. "ah, i was waiting for you to ask!" She meowed before, finally, she danced away from Sunkit and right to the infrequently visited corner of the camp by the medicine den. "we're gonna go on an adventure! we'll go see the territory and find the prettiest flower to bring home to momma!" More than that, though, they'd finally get a chance to catch a rabbit! If they could find one, that is. Surely, they'd manage - the two of them.

SUNKIT."you keep begging for forgiveness, but you don't think you've done wrong." she/her - windclan kit - nectar x kestrel.
Sunkit followed her sister to a quiet corner of camp. Ooh, so whatever Moonkit had in mind must involve something illegal if she didn't want anyone overhearing them- well, then, she was definitely interested. As Moonkit began speaking, Sunkit perked up, her eyes beginning to glow with excitement. Her sister had the best ideas, and Sunkit wasn't a big fan of how many rules there were, anyway. She thought she, at least, was smart enough to be let outside of camp. Mousebrains like her denmates (Tigerstar's litter, for starters) were the reason that kits were allowed to do a grand total of nothing. It was so boring inside camp.
"Oh! That's perfect, Moony! Think of how happy mama would be!" An easy smile stretched across her features - something that not many cats could draw out of her. "And I can't wait to see the territory. Why do we gotta wait until we're stupid apprentices to even leave this dumb camp? There's nothing to do here." Sunkit pouted, then glanced over her shoulder to make sure nobody was encroaching on their plans. There were so many kits in the nursery that it was rare for her and Moonkit to get any peace, but nope - the coast seemed clear. Good. That meant no little pipsqueaks to overhear them and go running to tell the queens.
Okay, then. All that was left was sneaking out of camp. "So, Moons, how do we get outta here? What's the plan for that?" The small she-kit turned and studied the camp walls. Was there anywhere they could squeeze through where the warriors wouldn't see? She frowned - she didn't see any gaps.
Moonkit grinned, feeling rather proud of herself for yet another grand idea that Sunkit approved of. Their momma had been stuck in the camp for moons nursing a wounded leg and watching after them - the least they could do to make her happy was bring her a little souvenir from the outside world! She flicked her tail dismissively as Sunkit's question, scoffing. "older cats think all kits're dumb just 'cause of cats like falconkit. i swear his brain is filled with nothing but a load of rabbitfluff!" Her face twisted into a frown at the mention of the tomkit. Eugh. Falconkit. He always got on her nerves. Always. But Sunkit liked him, so she forced herself to be quiet.
Enough of him. Today was going to be all about an adventure with Sunkit! Oh, and Nectarflower too, of course. "you leave the logistics to me." She glanced around furtively alongside Sunkit and, upon confirming that the coast was clear, crept around the edge of the camp towards a little dip where the steep wall surrounding the camp crumbled. She discovered it after a recent rainstorm and made sure to remember it in case she ever had to sneak out. "look here sunny, if we're careful, we can climb right outta here. nobody will even know we're gone 'til we're back!" She lashed her thin tail with excitement, eager to hear Sunkit's thoughts.
SUNKIT."you keep begging for forgiveness, but you don't think you've done wrong." she/her - windclan kit - nectar x kestrel.
Sunkit snickered. Though she admittedly thought Falconkit was handsome, he was a bit too much of a bee-brain for her; though he was entertaining. As Moonkit frowned, though, she wondered if there was more to Moonkit's words. Did she not like him at all? Well, it was none of her business. And if one of her family members didn't like someone, there was probably a good reason. Anyway, he'd totally been ignoring her lately, too popular to hang out, and she wasn't sure she liked that. "He doesn't even have rabbitfluff in there," Sunkit rolled her eyes as she went along with it. "That would mean there's actually something behind his eyes, and there's not." She straightened up, then shook out her pelt as though to shake off any thoughts of their stupid denmate.
"Logistics? What's that?" Sunkit asked as she followed Moonkit's gaze. Ooh. It was a perfect gap. Just big enough for a kit, and barely noticeable to any warriors! "You're a genius, Moon! Let's go!" Without asking for confirmation, she began to lead the way. She scrabbled up the wall, large paws fighting for purchase as she lifted herself up and onto the small little ledge. Luckily, she was as big as a kit half her age, and she could fit without much problem. Sunkit turned back to her sister and grinned. "Come on!"
Moonkit snickered joyfully at Sunkit's teasing, her tail curling. Her sister was right - she was being too generous - Falconkit probably didn't have a single thing floating around in that head of his. As fun as it was making fun of the tomkit behind his back, though, there were more pressing matters to tend to. But before she could warn Sunkit or even try to plan their little excursion, her sister was gone, having vanished up the edge of the hollow and out onto the moor.
With an exasperated gasp, Moonkit hurried after her sister, pelt frizzy with concern. "shhhhh! if you keep yellin' like that, we'll get caught!" She whispered nervously. Carefully, the silvery she-kit picked her way up the slope, overly conscious of each sound she made in her laborious ascent. Before long, she reached the top and stood beside Sunkit, curiously looking down into the hollow to see if any warriors noticed them. Luckily, everyone seemed too busy to have spotted two little kits sneaking away. "we did it! i knew it was a good plan."
Purring, Moonkit turned around and took a few cautious steps away from the camp. "let's go, sunkit! we needda be quick, so nobody notices we're gone." All they needed was a couple of pretty flowers to bring back to their mom. They wouldn't even go far, so it would hardly be something worth anybody getting mad over.
