The cooler night air brings some relief from the greenleaf sun as the full moon takes its place in the sky. The Clans have been rather peaceful with each other as of recently. Will that peace be upheld during this gathering, or will the fragile relations shatter once again?

First to arrive. That hadn't happened in a while. Tigerstar wasn't going to see that as an issue. It was rare to see the clearing without anyone else there at least on nights like this. Plus it gave Windclan the chance to spread out as they pleased. With a flick of his tail, the striped tom lead his clan down into the clearing as he made his way to the Great Rock.
The night brought blessedly cooler air, though the exhaustion of the day didn't leave Wolfstar entirely she seemed a bit more energetic as the sun finally set. Still, her fur was carefully groomed and she led the clan toward fourtrees with purpose.
Another clan had made it to fourtrees first, it seemed, but so far it was just Windclan. Wolfstar strode to the great rock, leaping easily to the top, and offered Tigerstar a polite dip of her head in respectful greeting. "Tigerstar, how fares Windclan?" How fared her grandson, was what she was really asking.
The previous moon flew by in a blur. Poppystar didn’t realize just how much work a leader constantly had to do. She had a general idea of course, but she was not around Perchstar every minute of the day. It was clear now that she truly was working every waking moment, and it left Poppystar a little dizzy as she adjusted her schedule to accommodate everything. She was starting to adjust to the role, though, bit by bit.
She guided her clan into the valley and made sure that Pigeonpounce found her way to the other medicine cats. Poppystar hopped up to where the other leaders sat and offered them a bow of her head. “Tigerstar, Wolfstar, it is nice to see you. I hope greenleaf has been prosperous for both of your clans.”
Poppystar has joined the other leaders. RiverClan may enter the Gathering!
Leopardstar led her Clan into the Gathering with confidence and grace, and a level of composure that did not betray the anger she felt. Instead, her usual polite smile and nod was delivered to the leaders who had arrived before her--all but Acornstar, it seemed. "I hope the evening finds you well," she offered to them as a whole, the words tasting bitter on her tongue.
There was no reason to make a scene. Not now. There was a time and a place for dramatics, after all, and there was likewise a time and a place to enact her plans.
ShadowClan may now enter the Gathering!

I feel like I’m waiting for something that’ll never happen
Quillsplash enterred the clearing with an expression of neutrality. Leopardstar's words echoed through his mind, and he hummed softly to himself as the she-cat approached the rest of the leaders. Things were going to turn very ugly, very soon, and due to no fault of his he would eventually be dragged into it. It would be best for him to remain with the ShadowClan crowd this Gathering, lest the drama caused resulted in the ire of the other Clans. Did Leopardstar simply love to exaggerate every transgression coming her way, or did she truly belief fighting for every crime would result in justice?
Wolfstar simply inclined her head to Poppystar and Leopardstar in turn, "Well enough... Can't say I'm enjoying greenleaf though." Her and half the clanmates that seemed to share her long, plush fur. Wolfstar was feeling a little better now that the sun wasn't bearing down on them all, but there was a part of her that could have fallen asleep right then and there without a care, too. If Acornstar didn't show her bushy tail soon maybe they could just start without her and call it an early night...

Swandive stalked into fourtrees, casting a glance at her siblings. Pigeonpounce was now medicine cat and would be sitting with the others probably... Swandive wasn't sure how she felt about that. She'd keep an eye out for her sister, just in case.

Briarpaw stuck close to her clanmates as Shadowclan arrived to fourtrees. She was content to stay nearer to her own rather than socialize with others, though she wasn't completely against doing so either.

Honeypaw padded into fourtrees with the rest of Skyclan, sticking close to her mentor. Her training was mostly done in the early morning and she had slept a good portion of the day, avoiding most of the insufferable heat. Still, she was glad for the cooler air that the night brought. The white and tortoiseshell apprentice sat among her clanmates, though blue eyes did glance around curiously at the other clans.

Cloudjumper padded into the gathering with her head high and shoulders back.She sat among her fellow Windclanners, not even sparing a glance toward the other clans as she waited for the gathering to start.
The second Gathering was much less nerve-wracking then the first. She was more sure in herself, more sure in what to do. Well, it wasn't too much different to any other Gatherings. She just had to sit with the other deputies, and sit in the right spot. Leading the RiverClan group alongside Poppystar was also a big one.
She bid Larkspring a farewell with a brush of her muzzle to his ear. She still wished she could sit with him even now. But, duty called. She approached the other deputies with a smile as always, inclining her head to them as she sat amongst them; "I hope you are all doing well tonight."
Wolfpaw travelled quietly among his family, as always. Particularly Hedgepaw. Stuck to her left like a burr in her pelt. He was worried for her. That stink-thing clung to her like it knew no other option. And he knew it would put Hedgepaw in danger some day. Why else infiltrate their home? No matter. No harm would befall his sister tonight. Or his other family, for that matter.
Wolfpaw is open to talk to-- Unless you're Fishpaw.
Ryepaw was still asleep. Had to be. Almost nodded off more than once on the journey here, relying a bit too heavily on whoever was beside him at any given moment to keep him on course rather than open his eyes himself.
He did though, once he actually got to the clearing. His jaw hung open, and a gobsmacked; "Woah," was all that came from him.
Hemlockfox padded into the great clearing with the rest of WindClan, his fur prickling uncomfortably. He'd never been a fan of gatherings, but since coming to live on the moor, they were probably what he looked forward to the most as it was one of the few times he got to see former clanmates. However, as WindClan was the first to arrive, it looked like he'd have to wait a little while to see if any of them would be here tonight. So, with an impatient flick of his tail, the tom made his way to the side of the clearing where he and the other medicine cats usually sat.
Before long, the other clans began to make their way into the clearing, one after the other until it was only ThunderClan that had yet to show up. They, however, weren't Hemlockfox's primary concern. He just wanted to see if his sisters would be here. With Sunfire, Smokepetal, and Graywind gone, there were precious few left for him to long for.
Moonpaw padded alongside her clanmates as they approached fourtrees, her eyes half-lidded with boredom. She, personally, didn't see a point in coming and had honestly been grateful kits were spared the journey. She understood that it was good for the leaders and medicine cats to shares news, but why was it that everyone else had to get dragged along too? She wasn't even miffed about having to mingle with the other clans - that part was fine. It was just the long, unnecessary walk that she had to suffer through to get here. Ugh. What a pain.
Though, as she moved further into the clearing and the sound of distant pawsteps reached her ears, Moonpaw couldn't help the zing of curiosity that shot through her. That's right! The other clans were coming. Did that mean Wolfpaw would be here tonight too? Despite picking up extra border patrols, she hadn't seen him since that night, when he'd rescued her from the owl. The scent of ShadowClan flooded the hollow and, with pricked ears, Moonpaw watched as the pine-scented clan spread out among the rest of the quickly growing crowd.
Just when she thought he wasn't here, that familiar gray tabby pelt caught her eye and excitement fizzed through Moonpaw. He was here! With an unusual pep to her step, she trotted towards the ShadowClan tom and stopped in front of him, looking curiously at the cats by his side. Who were they? "hey wolfpaw...how're you doin?" She meowed, hoping he recognized her.
Dovetail made his way reluctantly into the clearing. Though the night was a warm one and the breeze was refreshing, he felt like he'd rather be anywhere other than here right now. He had far too much on his mind to worry about whatever trouble the leaders were going to start causing. If he was lucky, this Gathering would be a short one, and then he'd be able to get in some rest before the morning. He'd worn his fox pelt tonight--mostly to dissuade others from approaching him, since it wasn't chilly enough that he needed the extra warmth. How had Egretswoop borne going to all of these events? She'd always been particularly sensitive to sound, and even now with four out of five Clans here, the hubbub of the crowds made his ears prickle uncomfortably. Still... he chose to follow the Code when he took the vow to become a warrior. So he sat in the midst of RiverClan, hoping against hope that no one would choose to bother him.
Dovetail is open to talk to (but probably won't be happy about it).

Bubblebeam padded tentatively into the clearing, scanning the leaders on the Great Rock to see which Clans had arrived. She noted Leopardstar's distinctive form which caused her heart to begin racing. That meant ShadowClan was here. That meant Silverbird and Hawkmist might have chosen to come. But, Tigerstar had also arrived, and so... her brother might be here too. Which direction should she go? Or what if none of them had come, and she would simply have to sit through announcements normally? Still, she felt uncomfortable just hanging out in the group of her Clanmates. The soft gray-furred she-cat left the SkyClan crowd as soon as she was able and began searching for a few particular faces. If none of them were here, then... maybe she'd just leave.
Bubblebeam is looking for Silverhawk, Hawkmist, or Hemlockfox.

Larchbreeze enjoyed Gatherings... in theory. It was supposed to be a good time to befriend cats of other Clans. However, he had yet to find any particularly interesting conversation partners in his few attendances. Not that he truly wanted to find actual companionship outside of WindClan's borders--just a diversion for a night. A pretty face, a handsome voice, a witty repartee. He'd had no luck thus far. Still, that didn't mean he couldn't keep trying. The flame-orange calico tabby slipped away from his Clanmates swiftly and silently once they entered Fourtrees. Then, his immediate modus operandi was to pace around the edges of the clearing, seeking out any individuals who looked like they would be particularly fun to chat with... or even just to look at. Surely his innate charisma couldn't fail him yet another time.
Larchbreeze is open to talk to. (Please come talk to him, the boy needs attention.)

Hedgepaw tried to be brave tonight and step away from ShadowClan's group, but the moment she tried to, she squeaked and dove back into the masses. How many moons had it been since she'd come here for the first time? And she felt as if she hadn't grown a bit yet! Mamma promised her that she'd get a growth spurt eventually, but she was beginning to believe she might stay the size of an overgrown kit forever. Well, at least hanging out with her Clanmates wouldn't be so bad. Where were her friends? Nightpaw would probably be busy with the medicine cats; the reminder of his new position and the missing Heatherberry saddened her for a moment, so she put it from her mind. Perhaps she could try and find Nettleweaver. Wolfpaw was there as always, she felt him pressing close to her pelt, but she knew he didn't like Gatherings much. He was bristling even now. While she did want to stay with him, he often vanished when she wasn't looking, and then she could never find him for the rest of the night--so she needed another plan. Was Fishpaw here? She hadn't spotted him in the group--maybe he'd been too worried about getting eaten. She wouldn't blame him. The small brown and white she-cat stood indecisively, looking around for any place that would be good to spend the evening.
Acornstar held her head high as she walked into the clearing, eyes flickering as she stared at the other leaders who had already arrived. Ah, of course she was the last of them to arrive... A bit of shame heated her pelt but she quickly shoved it down as she weaved her way through the crowd before she made the leap onto the Great Rock - dipping her head to the rest of the leaders. "Apology for the wait, I hope the warmer season has been treating you all well?" she asked as she took her seat. After the harshness that Leaf-Bare had brought upon the Clans, she did truly hope that things were looking up for the others - the last thing they needed was more tension as it felt like the Clans - or at least ThunderClan - was still recovering from...Everything that had happened.
Silverhawk kept his distance from WindClan as he followed the rest of his Clan into the clearing. He stuck close to his family and Hawkmist like usual. And, as had also become usual, Silverhawk spread out from them once he was sure they were settled. That little pest of a rogue had decided to leave Hedgepaw alone for the night, so he felt confident in leaving her alone. His paws led him toward SkyClan’s patrol, the common ritual. It did not take long to find Bubblebeam as she was already in the process of leaving her Clan behind. Silverhawk walked up to her and brushed against her side with a familiar purr. ”Hello, you,” he rumbled warmly. In a low, gentle voice, he asked, ”How has this moon been treating you?”
Once they were sure Oleanderpaw and Lightpaw were settled into the crowd, Rookflight drifted toward the back of the Clan. They had lost the opportunity to talk to Cindersky before she had to join the other deputies and so they sought instead for their brother, Sunpool, or Willowwisp. They were particularly on finding the last of his options. He’d been concerned for her at the last Gathering, and they wanted to make sure that she handled this one well.
Pigeonpounce walked close to Cindersky and Poppystar as RiverClan filtered into the Gathering. After last time, she felt a little more sure about taking her place near the front of the Clans. Her paws still prickled with nerves, but it was a little easier to tamp them down. WindClan’s brusque and burly medicine cat was already sitting in their usual spot. Pigeonpounce dipped her head to him, a little hesitantly, and said, ”’Ello. How’re ya doin’ t’night?”
A Gathering… Fishpaw had seen one of these before. He’d been chased halfway out by Hedgepaw and scolded by Pineblossom for setting foot amidst the clearing. His neck prickled with the sense that someone would chase him away again tonight, but he took a steeling breath and forced the worry away. He was meant to be here now. He was no longer a trespasser. This was his place.
Immediately, Fishpaw looked around in search for his friend. But just as he laid eyes on Hedgepaw, so too did he sight her brother, lingering close to her side. Fishpaw’s ears tilted backwards. He did not want to deal with threats of skinning tonight, and he especially did not want to make Hedgepaw listen to them. So… he would just have to turn his sights elsewhere. He began to wander until he lost track of ShadowClan’s growing-familiar scent.
His first Gathering. Falconpaw couldn’t hold back his excitement. He slipped away from Ryepaw’s side the moment another group besides WindClan’s filtered into the clearing. He was eager to entertain himself with cats outside his Clan and see what the others were like. He sidled up to the first unfamiliar cat he saw with a warm purr. ”Hey there,” he said. ”How’s the night treating a pretty face like you?”
And if the world don't break, I'll be shaking it...
Foxpaw was thrilled to be attending his first Gathering. There was so much to see and to learn, so many cats to talk to… he looked left and right, a little dazed by it all. He looked around for Harespring, wilting when he couldn’t; and then for Sorrelmist, but he couldn’t find her either. Foxpaw’s ears briefly laid flat, but he quickly shook himself out and padded out into the crowd, searching for someone to talk to.
Ospreypaw followed SkyClan into the clearing along with the other apprentices. Excited golden eyes swept the clearing, taking it all in. Wow…” she whispered to herself in awe. It was incredible to see so many cats in one place. Pelts of all colors filled the clearing.
As she watched, even more cats flowed into the clearing. Thunderclan. She recognized their scents from the border. Shadowclan filled the other side of the hollow, and to the side was Riverclan. Ospreypaw eyed the latter with a touch of suspicion. She’d better keep an eye on Stormwatcher, his feelings about the clan of fish eaters were clear. She settled next to her mentor but kept open to talk to anyone else. It would be cool to finally meet someone from another clan. Somehow more and more kept entering the clearing, but the space between the four great oaks was wide enough I accommodate them all. There’s so many...”
Falconmoon strode into the gathering, finally feeling something more than contempt. Not contempt for anyone really, but the sun. It was no where to be seen. For once he envied Shadowclan cats. He took his place among the deputies and gave everyone a nod in greeting.
Auburnrain took her place quietly among Windclan, for once not lashing out or looking like someone held a turd under her nose. She too was enjoying the relief from the sun, albeit she felt a bit sleepy from the work she put in for the day. Maybe she was finally maturing. Probably not, but one could hope.
Sagefeather noticed the change that overcame several cats for this gathering. The heat. The conclusion wasn't hard to draw from. He certainly noticed it during the day when they tried to sleep... and sleeping in a pile of bodies in a humid swamp did not make for a fun time or restful day. Still, he supposed he was grateful that he didn't need to worry about being in direct merciless sunlight like the other clans....
Poor Windclan.
Snowpaw hurried into the gathering, a jitter of excitement visible in the young tom. He wasn't the vocal type really, but he there was a certain energy in crowds that he had come to enjoy. Listening to other conversations was interesting anyway. He was content to be off to the side and quiet, allowing everyone to forget about him. Cats tended to be more open and honest when they forgot who might be listening.

Larkshine trotted into the gathering right behind her clan! The summer was blazing hot, and her morning walks had become shorter and shorter as the days grew warmer. Hickorypaw Apprentice | Skyclan | He/Him
Hickorypaw walked into the gathering with little to no energy. The days were too hot, and it seemed to suck the life right out of him recently. The young tom split off from the rest of Skyclan and found a nice cool dark corner to curl up in. His eyes scanned over the crowd, but he mostly watched his grandmother and sister.
Weevilpaw pranced around as Windclan made their way to the gathering. This was her first gathering and she could barely hold the excitement in! She purred and wobbled around as she made her way through her clanmates. She couldn’t wait to see what the night had in store for them!
