david(s) vs goliath(s) (open kit topic)

A pair of wide eyes still kitten blue peered down into a hole in WindClan's camp. Snakekit had seen some strange, flying things go in and out of it, the hole itself being just small enough to barely fit one of his little white paws. Really he was very, very curious about it, even though he'd been warned to stay away. He had to know what they were! And also why they lived in a hole when they could fly. He bent down and put his mouth to the hole to speak. "Hello in there." His tail flicked as he watched one of the things come out and - "WAUGH!", it flew at him! Very startled, young Snakekit flailed his paws around to try and hit it, but it was no use! He just kept missing!

He turned and ran, but not very far, as he collided with someone while the bug was still in hot pursuit!

Unlike her fellow kit, Gorsekit had observed the flying insects from what she had perceived to be a safe distance. Though, the reason for that distance was mainly to avoid Snakekit. The tiny kit's ears perked as the insect disappeared into its hole. How fascinating! She fought the urge to dart straight to the hole and inspect it herself. This was the right choice it seemed, as the insect emerged once more to chase Snakekit away from its burrow. Gorsekit was enthralled with the chase, staring wide-eyed as the insect flew at quite an impressive speed, brandishing something long and sharp looking on the end of its body. She had been so enthralled in the chase that she hadn't noticed Snakekit heading straight for her. Gorsekit jumped nearly out of her pelt just as the tom collided with her.

"Hey!" She exclaimed. How dare Snakekit do something so rude! He had eyes, didn't he? The rapid movements of the insect caught her attention before she could scold her fellow kit. Now that she was face to face with the alien creature, Gorsekit didn't feel so safe. She let out a hiss that would only invite predators to devour her whole, and when that didn't work she swiped her claws at the winged insect. "G-get away! Shoo!" To her surprise, it disappeared from sight... At least she had thought it did. A pain like no other pierced the kit's paw, and a shriek immediately pierced the air. Gorsekit managed to keep her composure just long enough to spy the yellow things sinking it's needle into her, and as soon as their eyes met she began to shake her paw vigorously. "Off, off! Get it off!" Tears began to creep from the kit's eyes as she struggled to keep them in, but STARS IT HURT SO MUCH! After what felt like forever, the pain bug dislodged itself and began to fly at her again. Gorsekit bolted in the opposite direction, though she didn't get far before she stumbled on her hurt paw and crumpled to the floor, curling in on herself. "Make it go awaaaaay! Nectarflowerrr!"
