Again?! (Kit Topic - OPEN)

Dandeliondapple found herself once again in the nursery with kits. She looked down at her litter and wondered how she ended up in the same place again. Perhaps it was the adorable nature of kits. Or it was just that she was terrible at keeping herself out of this StarClan-forsaken den. Still, while she was here, she would enjoy her litter to the best of her ability. Her head bent down to lick them awake. "Little ones, the snow has stopped."

Timberkit was looking at pretty queen with the litter of kits. She was in the corner of the nursery waiting for snow to stop and to warm up at least a little. She-cat was almost old enough to become apprentice and she was enjoying watching younger kits which were jealous of her age. Quietly and without any moves, she continued watching.

Blossompaw padded into the nursery. "Hi, Timberkit, hi mo- Dandeliondapple. Are these my new little siblings?"

After another failed hunting trip, Mintpaw found herself in the nursery yet again. "How are you feeling, Dandeliondapple?" She purred, pushing a small mouse- the only thing she managed to catch- closer to her older sister with one paw. "It's tough to have a litter in Leafbare." She mewed, looking over the litter. They seemed to be in good condition, although the little apprentice knew next to nothing about kits, having picked up all her knowledge from gossiping she'd overheard. "Thank Starclan it went well. Do you have any names picked out?"
Mintpaw felt a faint sense of pride as she watched her sister. In the short span of time that Mintpaw had known her, she had grown from a tired, rather grumpy she-cat into an adoring mother and a wise warrior.

Brightkit lifted his small head when he felt his mother lick it. Whoa, he had been having a great time asleep. He’d been dreaming about something, but he couldn’t remember what. Frickin kit brains, they forget pretty much everything. Anyway, no matter how gentle, his mother’s lick had awoken the sleeping firecracker that was Brightkit, and so he did what he loved to do; he let out a loud squeak and rolled over, flailing his little limbs in the air.

Brokenkit jerked awake at the feel of his mother's lick. He looked up to his mother and let out a very small, questioning cry. "Why am I being awakened?", he wondered. Noticing his brother pawing the air lazily, Brokenkit instead laid his head back down and blinked his eyes closed again.

It hadn't seemed like long at all since she had left the nursery, but already Dandeliondapple was back in the nursery. He poked his head in to see a few, young and sleepy kittens. A soft smile lit up his maw and his blue eyes sparkled. Even in the dead of leafbare, the young clan kits offered hope for a successful Skyclan future. The deputy meowed a greeting to his adoptive daughter before padding closer to Brokenkit and nudging the little tom with his nose. He quickly noticed the kink in his tail, but paid little attention. Mumblepaw had been born with no tail at all and was just fine.

"Time to wake up little one, you have to come see the world." Rippedsky hoped to coax the young litter out into camp. It had briefly warmed up outside and would be a perfect time for in camp exploration, if they ever woke up that was.
