The dog fell, though none of her own blows and very few of those of her clanmates' had actually hit the foxing thing. Wolfstar only waited to make sure the vicious thing was truly dead and then moved toward the other dog with unsheathed claws. There would be no resting until the one still standing was also dead.
Wolfstar has attempted to attack dog 1. Miss.
Stoneheart glanced briefly toward her sister, a growl rumbling in her throat as the dog had tried to attack Mistflower. Thankfully it had missed, and the warrior lashed out at it once more, hoping desperately that her blows would land.
Stoneheart has attempted to attack dog 1. Miss.
A loud, piercing yelp escaped her as one of the cats managed to land a hit, and the dog twisted, jaws snapping violently toward the golden and white tom. Drool was flung from her mouth as she moved, and her movements were slow and uncoordinated. She didn't seem to notice that her partner was downed, so focused on the swarm of cats in front of her. She misjudged how close the tom actually was, her vision swimming and out of focus.

As stormwatcher saw his apprentice get hit hard and go down he felt a lurch in his stomach - "Blazepaw noooo" he whimpered running towards him. But the dog was right in his path preventing him from ever getting to see his apprentice.
He cursed under his breath angerly and leapt right at it - if he didnt have much to lose before he had even less now - if this was to be the end then so be it if it was all over may he join the stars among his apprentice
he swiped angerly at the dog holding nothing back

Fate was cruel, it seemed. Lighttail would never live in a time of peace. She’d come to accept that for herself, but still she would fight to protect others. Even as the poison took down one dog, the other continued to thrash and bite. Lighttail broke away from the dead beast’s side and crept around behind the live one. She felt nauseous from the scent of blood, but the fight was not over yet. Lighttail let out a yowl, a wordless war cry as she leapt at the dog, fangs bared in a vicious snarl.
She tore into the creature’s back, teeth and claws drawing blood.
Lighttail has hit Dog 1!

turbulence won’t stop us
As the first of their opponents fell, Lightningbreeze spun around to join the ongoing fight nearby; trying her best to maneuver through her Clanmates without injuring any of them while delivering several sharp slashes to her opponent. Seasons of navigating the treetops, moving through small windows from one branch to the next, gave her the skills she needed to move smoothly through her clanmates and attack with precision.
Mistflower hissed in frustration; her initial failure to even hit the dog served as a painful reminder that she simply wasn't suited to the life of a warrior. Still, seeing her Clanmates fighting to defend her home, she couldn't bring herself to give up; and so she dashed forward again with a flurry of teeth and claws, only to come up short once more.

The dog staggered and snarled as the cats managed to land a few more blows. On a good day they would not have been so lucky, but tonight was not a good day. She didn't understand why the world seemed to spin around or, or why her vision seemed to go in and out of focus. Her heart beat fast and painful in her chest, something that could have perhaps been attributed to adrenaline... Or perhaps something more sinister. Shadows seemed to grow at the edges of her vision, more cats. More of those filthy cats.
The dog never made the realization that she should have run. She never made the realization that running would not have prevented her limbs from giving out either as nausea and dizziness took hold. She sank to the ground breathing heavily, attempting to snap once more at one of the creatures she had failed to hunt. Her jaws closed on empty air and she thrashed, trying desperately to bring one of them down with her. Only her limbs did not move as they should. The adrenaline that had kept her going had faded, leaving her so tired. So... Tired...
The dog's maddened gaze closed.
The dogs have been defeated.
---
Wolfstar stumbled back as the dog thrashed wildly. The beast's movements seemed weaker and less coordinated, though it had not sustained so much damage from the cats who had so bravely defended their camp. The plan Falconmoon and Lighttail had put into motion must have done a number on the massive predators. Wolfstar was too tired to care how it had happened, truthfully. She only cared that none of her clanmates would have to live in terror. For at least a few moons, was that too much to ask? The leader glanced at her clanmates, glanced at the dogs. She did not have the energy for a speech, not tonight. The battle had been unusually difficult and she suspected many of them were still tired from being woken so abruptly. Or would be once the adrenaline and excitement of the night wore off.
"If anyone is hurt, get to the medicine den. Now. Camp will need to be cleaned up-" She grimaced at the sight of the two massive dogs, "-and these dogs should not stay on Skyclan territory." They hadn't been welcome in life, and their diseased, poisoned corpses certainly weren't in death. She was so very sick of losing clanmates. Most of them still stood, seemingly uninjured. Graywind and Blazepaw were on the ground, and her chest tightened. Blazepaw was far too young and had such a bright future ahead of him. The world was cruel. And her daughter... How much more could the clan take? Maybe now with both dogs dead, they could breathe. "We will sit vigil for Graywind and Blazepaw. They died in our defense, and their sacrifice won't be forgotten. May the stars light their paths."
