| You can’t fix the past, but you can change the future.
A new day, a new apprentice. Sootstorm considered for a moment speaking with Tigerstar about expanding the apprentice's den, but it seems it was yet to become necessary. The tom leapt onto the Tallrock, gaze searching the crowd below for the kit who would be joining her denmates in the apprentice's den tonight. "Let all cats old enough to run the moors gather around the Tallrock for a clan meeting!" the words no longer sounded foreign on his tongue, and the smooth rock beneath his paws no longer seemed out of place. It seems that he was finally beginning to get used to his role as the Clan'd deputy.

Dandelionkit
Dandelionkit heard the familiar summons and picked his way towards Tallrock, no longer needing his mother to coax him. He was now well-familiarized with how these meetings worked, and though he despised them, he usually looked forward to the nursery becoming less crowded. Now he padded up to the crowd, ears pinned, almost eagerly if it weren't for his lacking expression, which gave nothing away.
Dandelionkit sat a little ways away from the other cats. The group of kits was smaller than ever, the apprentices keeping mostly to their own clique. He settled himself like a tiny statue and looked respectfully up towards Sootstorm, the clan deputy, but not quite looking at the massive tom. Instead, Dandelionkit fixed his gaze slightly over his deputy's shoulder, completely still.

| Auburnkit strolled out of the nursery looking absolutely bored. She'd given only on occasional thought to her becoming an apprentice. And to who? She'd only perfect whatever her mentor taught her, definitely surpass them and make them look horrible at what they did. She sat down among the crowd as the clan gathered and heaved a sigh. Auburnkit wasn't hard to miss, with a look of complete boredom and a lazy, carefree air to her as she strolled up to the crowd. Already, he could see the overconfidence that would become a problem as the she-cat grew older, and was glad for the mentor that he was about to appoint her. She'd need someone who had been just as confident once, and though Sootstorm had never been close to the older she-cat, he knew that she'd make the perfect mentor for Auburnkit. "Auburnkit, step forward," He paused for a moment to allow the she-cat to do so, "You have now reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From now on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Auburnpaw. Coyotegrin will be your mentor." As he announced the mentor, he gave the warrior a single nod before leaping down the Tallrock to join his clanmates.
