Does a storm of soots pass quickly?(c)

Quickfrost was overjoyed with her new rank as a warrior, it'd felt amazing to be one just as she’d thought. Now that she had thought about it her and her father had just obtained new ranks. Perfect time to see how he was handling it. So she walked up to Sootstorm and said “Hi Dad, how are things going with you?” She was eager to have the chance to talk to her father again, since it had been awhile. She was the last of her father’s litter, it felt strange to think about, since she had Tallshadow as a brother. It felt weird how she was the only one of them all to make it to warriorhood. She tried not to think about it and got back to the conversation she had just started with her father.

Quickfrost was glad to see her father doing fine, hopefully he wasn’t overworking himself as the new deputy. She had a feeling though that he wasn’t. He did have time to sit down and talk either her didn’t he? She figured it’d be fine. Her father had beckoned for her to sit beside him, she did just that. He’d also asked how Oatpaw's training had been going. “We’ll I’d sa-aa-aa-cho!” she had to let out a sneeze when giving her response, she noticed just before it happened so she could direct her sneeze away from her father.

“As I was saying, I think his training is going smoothly, it’s not being made easier with the sickness going around, I don’t have it really bad or anything but I do have a little of it.” Quickfrost thought of Tallshadow who’d not been so lucky as to avoid most of the sickness like she did. She would’ve traded their situations in a heartbeat if she had the chance, it was kind of depressing to just see him laying there in a sneezing or coffing fit.
