Tigerdance sighed as he pushed himself to his paws, he could feel hunger pains, his body was tired from lack of energy but he would have to push through for his clan. Keep even normal duties going. So he stood a little higher than the rest and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to run the moor gather near me for a clan meeting!"

Berrykit trotted forward, tail sticking up as she made her way to the front of the crowd. She looked around her for a moment, as if she was searching for something or someone, but seemed to forget what. The small she-cat frowned, face scrunched up as she struggled to recall what it was that was different, before finally with a tiny shake of her head she turned away and returned to gazing up at Tigerdance with a blank smile.

Finchspeckle looked up as Tigerdance once again called together the Clan. Was it another ceremony? Her paws prickling with slight annoyance, she made her way to the corner of the crowd before settling down again. While she waited for the deputy to begin spewing words, the dappled she began grooming her chest, picking out the little leaves that had made their way into her beautiful fur.

Daisykit shouldered her way past her clanmates so she could see what was going on, taking a spot near the front of the crowd. Maybe it was another apprentice ceremony? Molepaw had already earned his apprentice name, so it made sense that she and Berrykit would be named soon as well. She stood next to her sister, eagerly awaiting the news. Anything other than walking was exciting at this point.

"We are gathered to name another apprentice. Berrykit please come forward." Despite the circumstances, at least he was able to do these ceremonies with practiced ease, and the other clans seemed to ignore him. Which he was thankful for. Once the kit approached he continued. "Berrykit from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Berrypaw. Tallshadow will be your mentor. I hope he teaches everything he knows to you." He knew Tallshadow was a newer warrior, he just hoped that the fresh face would be able to keep some hope going on the younger kits.

Lavendercloud watched with happiness and pride as her first kit was headed towards a very big day in her life.
She wanted to support her kits as much as she could especially with the clan being booted from their home.
She went to her daughters side as soon as the mentor was announced. "oh good good, you will learn all sorts of things I'm sure" she didnt know tallshadow much so she gave him a glance. Clearly indicating that he had better take good care of her kit.
Tallshadow stepped from the crowd, surprise written clearly on his face. It felt like he had just become a warrior himself, and he was already entrusted with shaping a kit into a warrior. He quickly smoothed his expression, moving gracefully towards the cream colored she-cat. He tried to loosen his posture so he wasn’t towering over her, but it didn’t help much. He bent down to touch noses with her, giving her an encouraging smile. “I’ll do my best to teach you, as I'm sure you'll do your best to learn. We'll start training tomorrow.” He dipped his head politely to Lavendercloud, knowing the queen was putting a lot of faith in him. He would do his best to keep her kit safe, and teach Berrypaw all he could.

Happiness comes the way the wind blows
"Berrypaw! Berrypaw!" Sootstorm called out the apprentice's new name, watching fondly as Lavendercloud rushed to congratulate her kit. The litter had grown up so fast, and with them WindClan. His own son would mentor Berrypaw as well, and he made a mental note to plan a duo-training session with him. His smile faltered just slightly as he noticed Berrypaw's blank look, but he quickly quelled whatever negative thoughts he had.

The kit's face remained a blank slate with a default smile, taking a step forward when instructed. Only when Lavendercloud started speaking did the events register in her head. That had been her apprentice ceremony! She was an apprentice now! Her smile grew wider, and she trotted up to Tallshadow with her chest puffed out. She was an apprentice! Just like her brother.

Sitting amongst the crowd beside their family memebers, Fuzzface and Molepaw chanted Berrypaw's name with the clan. They were both so proud of her and couldn't wait to see her become a mighty warrior. Well, or something of the sorts.
