Guilty [Falconmoon]

Thornstalker had been following the rest of the cats, usually trying to stick with Skyclan and not really wanting to mingle with anyone else at the current point in time. Blue eyes glanced to the side noticing Falconmoon not to far ahead. Picking up her pace, she fell in step with the tom, nudging his side slightly. "Wanna break off for a quick hunt?" She could use a break from this crowd, and with someone else with her, risks decreased.

Falconmoon's eyes had been darting from cat to cat, probably taking on the appearance of someone very, very paranoid. Look, there was a line between paranoid and hypervigilant. Falconmoon was certain her was the latter, given the circumstances. The tom hadn't been relaxed since the journey began. The nudge from his side made him jump, but he looked at Thornstalker with curiosity. A questioning, concerned look was in his eye, but when she only asked him to break off for a hunt... that was a good idea actually. Might be good for his nerves.

"Sounds good to me." He broke off from the clan and went with her, doing his best to just take a breath and relax. Nothing had gone wrong... yet. "Its weird isn't it?" He asked her once they were away from the others. "Everything we have grown up with, the forest and the clans being separate... its just gone." Along with their food. He set his eyes, ears and nose to work to locate something worth snacking on. He did manage to scent a squirrel which made his mouth water.

Following the scent that the frigid breeze brought, his paws made his way to where the squirrel was located. He frowned when he saw the sight of the scrawny creature, one that had also been having a tough time this leaf-fall. With a sigh, Falconmoon began to stalk it. He supposed he shouldn't complain about food, but he was probably going to. He was used to big, fat juicy squirrels.... not this fuzzy meat twig.

The squirrel still had enough energy to escape. The wind direction changed unexpectedly before Falconmoon could really get into a good position. The wiry rodent was gone up a tree in a flash. "Stars curse it..." He muttered under his breath in frustration.

Thornstalker stayed silent for the moment letting the tom speak his mind before giving her own reply. "It is strange.. We have had hardships before but never to the point of leaving." The pale she-cat said. "Though I'm sure the territories will heal and we will be back before we know it." At least she hoped. She stopped in her pawsteps, as soon as he broke off from her trying to catch his own prey, but it seemed luck was not on his side for that one.

Ears perked hearing something scuffling not to far from where she was, slowly the small warrior moved forward, pawsteps carefully placed to not disturb the mouse she just spotted. Once she was close enough she fell into the crouch, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As soon as she went to pounce an eagle beat her to the strike, swooping and picking up the mouse, leaving the warrior a little mad. "Stars.. Of course you would show up now."
