Thyme's Apprentice Ceremony

As greenleaf was in full swing, Skyclan continued to grow. The apprentice den had been small recently, but the recent influx of kits would change that. With luck, Wolfblossom hoped that they would make for fine warriors in time. The deputy leapt to the tallbranch with ease, blue eyes bright as she gazed out of the camp. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!"

Thyme kept to the outskirts of the crowd after she padded out of the nursery. She had started to come out during Clan meetings recently out of sole curiosity. Seeing kits receive their apprentice names and apprentices receive their warrior names inspired her. She often wondered when the day would come for her to finally be a ‘paw’. There were still so many things to learn, things that she needed to be physically taught. Being told about things like hunting and treeflying was different from actually doing it herself. As she sat down, she wondered to herself what this meeting would be about, and if someone would be gaining a new name from a ceremony.

The clan gathered before her, and Wolfblossom smiled as she saw one of the kits lingering at the edge of the crowd. "Thyme, step forward," The deputy waited a moment for her to do so. She had been brought to the clan as a kit, and Wolfblossom had not had to think hard about who her mentor would be. He was already in the crowd, too. "You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time you become an apprentice and member of Skyclan. From this day until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Thymepaw. Your mentor will be Foxtrot. He has learned our ways as well as anyone, and I trust him to pass on that knowledge to you."
