Littlekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Mistyrain climbed the familiar surface of the Tallbranch with ease, pausing for a moment at the top to observe the now-rebuilt SkyClan camp. It was almost as good as it had been before the flood had erased nearly everything. Today, however, was not a day for thinking back. It was a day for hope and new beginnings. Another kit was ready to join the ranks of the apprentices, this time Littlekit. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a Clan meeting!" she called.

As Littlekit approached, Mistyrain continued. "Littlekit, please step forward." she waited a moment, allowing the kit to trot along until he was nearly beneath her. "Littlekit. You have reached the age of 6 moons and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Littlepaw. Your mentor will be Sandblaze, and I trust that he will teach you everything that he knows." This concluding the ceremony, she leaped to the ground, landing gracefully on her paws. The deputy raised her voice to call out the new apprentice's name with her Clan.

Sandblaze's ears twitched as his new apprentice was announced. It was an exciting moment, and it made him feel like he was finally grown. He purred as he padded forward to touch noses with Littlepaw. Tinystar, though a bit distanced and formal, was a good mentor. Sandblaze planned to take an entirely different approach. 

"How's about we start training tomorrow? I'll let you sleep in... but it'll be the last time, alright, Fluff?" He gave Littlepaw a wink before walking away to thank Mistyrain.
