Succor [Swiftheart]

Swiftheart had been on her mind a lot lately, what with the passing of Duskflight and the recent moment the two shared at the graveside of the older warriors mothers grave. Not to mention... The recent events with Nightsta- Nightpaw.

"Swiftheart?" The larger medicine cat apprentice slowly padded up to the older she-cat, a soft smile on her face in hopes she was up for a chat.

Swiftheart who was usually so happy and cheerful and energetic... had not been any of those things lately. She felt utterly broken and sick. The number of bad things that kept happening to her seemed to be neverending.

She was in her nest where she hadnt moved from in awhile too deep in her downward spiral to really even be caring for herself much anymore.

She glanced up slowly with dull eyes that no longer held the joy they usually did.

She remembered bringing Harrier back from when all the twoleg disaster happened and ever since she liked Harrier alot.

"hey you" she responded quietly, even her voice sounded broken somehow. She laid her head down on her front paws with a sigh...

"Im... I'm not doing so good" she whispered.

She knew Swiftheart was not in a good place, but hearing her voice made Harriertalon close her eyes for a moment, if only to force back the welling tears. This was not like Swiftheart. She was usually opposite of her brother: cheerful and optimistic. It saddened Harriertalon greatly.

Taking a seat next to Swiftheart she mewed softly, "And that's okay." Because it was. With everything that had happened to the poor warrior, Harriertalon would have thought it suspicious if she continued to act normal.

"What's been on your mind lately? I'm here for as long as you need me." Reassurance that Harriertalon wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Swiftheart had always been pretty good at opening up her emotions even if they were not the most pleasent to talk about.

In that sense, she was probably an eaiser patient for this kind of thing because she would not hide anything from Harriertalon her med cat.

"I just feel like I keep losing everyone" she whispered quietly.

She rested her head on Harriertalons shoulder and just let herself cry for a bit. Harriertalon was very kind for coming and checking on her and Swiftheart was greatful that the med cat was willing to put up with her current mess of feelings.

Harriertalon's head rested on Swifthearts as the older molly used her shoulder to cry on, allowing her to do so in silence for a while.

Several heartbeats later she replied in a soft voice that was almost a whisper, "There are no words or any advice I could give you to heal a broken heart. But I can be there for you whenever you need these shoulders to cry on. The impossibly harsh passage of time is heavy. And I will help carry it with you."

A few tears trickled down her maw, landing softly on Swifthearts white furry head. Swiftheart was dear to her and energetic and kind in her every day life. It was appreciated that she was so open with her emotions, but if even Swiftheart could crumple like this... "As much as I hate to say it, one day we will all be united under one sky. It's the waiting that hurts the most."

swiftheart was greatly appreciative that Harriertalon was doing all this for her. She couldnt speak aton at the moment but she managed a quiet "thank you" as she was needing the support alot right now.


Harriertalon had been there too for her in previous moments that were not so pleasent. Like on mothers day and all the hard memories that had come with. She made for a great med cat apprentice and Swiftheart was glad that Burdockroot had chosen so well.


She stayed by Harriertalon a long while until she fell asleep. Over time, Swiftheart would bounce back and return to being her happy joyful self. But for the moment she was just glad she had a supportive shoulder to cry into.
