It was a refreshing day, and a beautiful time to check up with her daughter. Honeypaw may not have been her biological kit, but she had taken care of the she-cat anyway, so that made her the mother, didn't it? Goldenfern purred as she led the apprentice towards a comfortable spot to hunt.

Scenting the air, Goldenfern quickly picked up a mouse scent. She dropped into a crouch and slid through the undergrowth towards the mouse. A fox-length away, she tensed and pounced onto the mouse, killing it with a swift nip to the spine.
