No mud, no lotus [herb hunt]

Fuzzybelly asked around and determined that this would be the driest place in the territory. Higher up than he was anticipating, which the ShadowClan cat was not used to... was this how Basilbloom felt all the time? A pang of sympathy went to her, wherever she may be. I hope she's okay...

The fluffy brown tabby tom looked behind him to ensure he was not in the territory alone. As embarrassing at it was, he wanted someone else with him so he wouldn't get lost. He knew ShadowClan like the back of his paws, but SkyClan was a hilly terrain foreign to the tom. Fuzzybelly was also used to softer earth, the rocks and pebbles all over the territory was yet another thing to get used to.

"Alright, look under rocks and under branches for cobwebs, we might be able to find some good stuff poking through behind the dark brown trees over there."

He weaved in and out of the pines, smelling something promising. He hoped it was something like marigold...

Fuzzybelly approached the yellow flowers with a grin. It was goldenrod! He didn't think he'd find it somewhere like here.

"Goldenrod is an excellent herb. I like it more than marigold, personally, it's by the Thunderpath by the ShadowClan-WindClan border. Great to use for wounds."

The tom picked the base of the goldenrod, taking the sprigs he could out of the ground, ready to find more supplies.

Plumpaw trailed behind the two toms, her eyes scanning the undergrowth all around her. She'd decided to join the herb patrol at the last minute, catching up with them just as they left the camp. She appreciated Fogpaw's offer to let her get some sleep while he and Fuzzybelly looked for herbs, but she felt guilty just sitting around instead of helping.

She watched Fuzzybelly collect the goldenrod, nodding as he explained what it was used for. Before long she'd found another patch not too far away from the first.

"Marigold for wounds." She muttered to herself, breaking off a few stems and gathering them into a neat pile beside her.
