The past few days had not been kind to Hemlockfox, who was completely and utterly exhausted. The issue with ThunderClan and RiverClan weighed heavily on his mind, the stress only made worse by the possibility that he would soon have to leave. The tom deeply regretted ever agreeing to become a medicine cat, though, he logically knew that there was nothing he could have done to change what had happened. The idea of spending his days in the medicine den wasn't even the part that bothered him anymore. He'd grown surprisingly content with his role in the clan.
Rather, it was the increasingly concerning possibility that he would be spending the rest of his life in WindClan's medicine den - far away from the comfort and familiarity of his kin. Flicking his tail despondently, the medicine cat glanced past his shoulder at the cats who had offered to join him as he attempted to restock SkyClan's herb stores. If the threat of moving clans wasn't actively looming over him, Hemlockfox would have never openly asked for assistance buy, in this case, it seemed important to spend as much time with his clanmates as he could.
Pushing his troubles from his mind, the tom called out to the volunteers, his voice a little more warm than usual. "Alright, keep an eye out for any useful herbs everyone. If you aren't sure what plants are herbs, just call me over and I'll take a look." It would be annoying having to babysit cats who likely knew nothing of herbs but, to be honest, he didn't really mind. "And for the love of everything, do NOT eat any red berries, unfamiliar seeds, or flowering plants."
Tipping his head upwards, Hemlockfox followed his nose to the faint scent of herbs, though the snowfall prevented him from figuring out exactly what it was. Snuffling through the snow, the brown and white tom finally made contact with a pungent plant that had managed to grow under the safety of a low-growing bush. With a pleased hum, he nipped off several stalks of the herb. Borage. It was mostly known for helping queens produce milk, but it had several uses outside of that, so he grabbed as many leaves as he could without damaging the plant.
Hemlockfox has started an herb hunt and found Borage (1+2)! Dice roles are: 1: No herbs found, or a deadly herb is discovered. 2-3: Common herb found (Borage, Juniper Berries, Catchweed, Poppy Seeds) 4-5: Uncommon herb found (Lavender, Coneflower, Yarrow) 6: Rare herb found (Goldenrod, Chickweed)

When Hemlockfox had called for some warriors to look for herbs, Beechfang had opted to join him. Once she might have balked at the idea of it, she had once despised the role of medicine cat that had been so abruptly thrust onto her broad shoulders. Now though, she was older and had grown. Skyclan would need all the help it could get, still recovering from illness and with threats looming. Now that they were back on their own territory it was time to rebuild and move forward.
The former medicine cat made no comment at the warning about eating herbs. It was one she had often given to others in the past, and it was a good one. Hemlockfox would face no such trouble from her as she turned away from the group, single eye sweeping over the snow-covered surroundings. There was something bright among the rocky crevices, and Beechfang almost purred upon recognizing it, padding forward to inspect the golden-flowered plant. Carefully, she nipped at a couple of the stalks, leaving some left to continue to grow.
"Some goldenrod, stars know there's never enough of it." She called to Hemlockfox.
