In the Morning [Solo]

The world seemed on the verge of something.

As if one paw step would lead them into something completely new, or another leading them into...well...Morningsun wasn't sure. The air in the forest seemed crisper as if it was leafbare once more. But, it wasn't cold. How odd. It seemed that even prey knew the world was teetering. Their small heads peeking out of their burrows, just enough for Morningsun to catch. Thank you, little mouse, for your life gives ThunderClan its own life.

With plenty of prey to return with, Morningsun entered the camp. The early morning sun caught the branches of trees that hung over their camp. Soon, the rest of the clan would be awake. The warrior almost missed the voices coming from Stoatstar's den. The leader hadn't been feeling the best lately, so hearing cats in the den was unusual. Perhaps curiosity got the best of him. Morningsun diverted, taking the long way to the fresh-kill pile, just to hear what was said.

Sacrifices to bring back Starclan?

The tom stopped, green eyes wide as the moon that set.

There was a way to make this all end? A way to return the forest to its rightful place in the world? To rid the clans of the shadowy cats that tormented all who lived there? Perhaps even Stoatstar would return from his grief-stricken behavior to see the clans at peace. But, cats would have to give their lives to see it come to fruition. The green eyes narrowed, looking down towards the mouse he held in his maw. The mouse gave its life so ThunderClan could live to see another day. It was an opportunity.

To save the clan from the Dark Forest cats who hurt them so.

To take a stand against Morningstar. The same cat with the same name. Mornings do not have to be scary or frightful. Mornings could usher in a new era, a new dawn in which the clans would be safe and happy once more.

Head raised, the tom entered the den and dropped the mouse at the entrance.

"Stoatstar, I wish to bring StarClan back. At any cost."

He would give his life to give ThunderClan life.
