How You Remind Me [Dovefrost]

"Thanks, Dovefrost. Your support means a lot to me." She said quietly, for the briefest of moments pressing her shoulder to his. "I suppose we need to make the best of it and keep moving, don't we? If things aren't changing, they aren't changing for the worse, right?" Beechfang's words were tempered by a healthy dose of realism. Things weren't getting better, but she would consider 'stability' such as it was to be better than the alternative. In a way, it was almost optimistic, right? ...Right?

The large white tom nodded. "Finding the good in what we can will always help. Even if there isn't much good to find." There wasn't much else they could do but wait, wait on the good to show itself no matter the form, and like she said, things were getting worse, so that was already better than what it could be. "I suppose we just find the good in what we can right? No matter the form." He echoed his thoughts.

"Not much," Beechfang agreed, eye lifting to meet Dovefrost's gaze, voice quiet but sincere as she continued, "I can think of a few cats, though. One is standing in front of me." She wasn't the type of cat to lavish praise upon others. Even this much felt strange but... Also right. Dovefrost had always been a good tom. More than that, if she was being truthful with herself.
