hunting patrol [OPEN]

Deerleap sat at the camp entrance, taking a moment to enjoy the light breeze on her face. she was supposed to be waiting for the rest of her patrol to join her and then head out, but she forgot it momentarily as a single black feather fluttered in the air before her. she raised a paw and dapped at the feather, watching it with intense amber eyes as it bobbed in the air. she hit it up with her tabby tail. soon, she was in a game of "keep the feather off the ground". she was only snapped out of her thoughts by an amused purr from behind her.

Swiftheart approached watching Deerleap keep the feather up purring amused she batted it upwards as well watching it playfully. "Leading a patrol out?" she asked.

"Mind if I join you?" she asked tilting her head.

She liked that Deerleap was taking initiative on things to get things in motion, she was a good leader in alot of ways and Swiftheart was so happy to see how far she had come in her skills. Deerleap was a strong warrior with good leadership qualities, something the clan needed right now which was great!

She was happy to have Deerleap lead this, it was good practice for her leading something Swiftheart wanted to actively encourage. She herself did not particularly enjoy leadership roles, she would do it if needed but she was content to follow others lead in general as well as in more broad terms of life as well. She could never imagine being deputy or leader the thought of all that made her uneasy and she would not want that for herself.

Deerleap nodded to Swiftheart, more glad than ever that it was her and not some other cat. "we'll just wait for a few more cats to join and we can go!" she answered. she turned around and licked her tail in embarrassment.

It wasn't long before the black-and-white shape of Marshmallow joined the two she-cats. Her gaze still looked slightly troubled from the nightmare she had a few nights before. She kept hearing Not-Marshmallow's voice in her ears, telling her she's a bad cat. She didn't like it. She didn't want to believe it. She padded out of the warrior's den, spotting her future patrolmates waiting at the camp entrance. "Hey guys. Sorry if I'm a bit late..." Her fur bristled uncomfortably, as if she was waiting for something to jump out at her.

"You're not too late. we can go now," Deerleap said, purring at the sight of Marshmallow. she was glad that the older she-cat had recovered somewhat from her nightmare. she turned and led the way out of camp.

Swiftheart gave a friendly smile to Marshmallow "Thanks for joining :)" she said happily. She tilted her head curiously seeing Marshmallow's fur all bristled out "You alright Marshmallow?" she asked a little concerned but figured that maybe Marsh was just waking up. She didnt know about the nightmares that Marsh had.

Giving her an encouraging nod and grin she followed Deerleap out of camp to hopefully catch some food.
