Starstruck [Closed]

Lately as Starlingpaw had been training he found his mind wondering back to the Riverclan apprentice he had met the other day. There was something interesting about her, something he could put his tail on. He wasn't sure why she occupied his thoughts, causing him to get lost in his mind rather than cause trouble like he normally would sometimes. Of course that didn't stop him all the time, he had to be the center of attention at most points during the day.

Today however as soon as he was released from training, he made his way towards the river hoping to run into Heronpaw again. Of course as soon as he saw the rocks out of the corner of his eye, an idea sparked in his head. Why not cause trouble and see if he could find the she-cat? A grin grew on his maw as he darted over to the rocks.

Starlingpaw, Starlingpaw, Starlingpaw. Heronpaw couldn't get the tom out of her head. Ever since they met, her mind went in circles for him. She constantly wondered when she would see him again. Nothing could be better than seeing his face once again. It scared Heronpaw, to realize that almost every thought she had was related to Starlingpaw. She couldn't be with him, after all. He was a ThunderClan cat, and she was a RiverClan cat. It was something that she couldn't fathom properly. Heronpaw, you can't be in love with a ThunderClan cat, mousebrain! Why are you searching for him? Why are you searching for him? There will be a RiverClan cat that you can love. Don't be stupid. And you won't find him like this, as there's no way in StarClan that he's here at S-

The chirping of her thoughts stopped once she saw him. Starlingpaw. At Sunningrocks. "Starlingpaw!" she exclaimed, swimming towards the silver tom. "It's great to see you here!" The RiverClan apprentice felt a rush of energy seeing the tom's face, something very unusual for the she-cat. Getting out of the water, she smiled at the ThunderClan apprentice. "How's your day going so far?" Normally, she'd dry herself, but she knew that Starlingpaw didn't like getting wet, so she decided not to at the moment. She didn't mind, though it was a weird sensation to not immediately dry her pelt after swimming.

Starlingpaw stopped in his tricks, just short of the rocks. Yellow eyes looking to whoever called his name, only to brighten considerably once he saw the familiar face of Heronpaw. "Heronpaw!" He called back, watching her swim over amazed by how unbothered and graceful she seemed as she did so. Part of him wished he could swim, but he also despised the water. Part of his mind wondered how long it would be before she tried to push him in.

"The exact pretty she-cat I was hoping to see here." He said with a slight purr in his tone. "My day is better now that you are here." He charmed, trying his best to get a cute laugh out of her. "Aside from you, my day has been pretty mundane. Just some hunting, didn't even do any battle training." He said a slight exasperation in his voice. Battle training was much more fun than hunting.

Heronpaw blushed at Starlingpaw's charming words. "Honestly, my day's much better after seeing you as well." It really was great hanging out around him, even if her brain was telling her no, bad, you can't be with him, he's in ThunderClan and you're in RiverClan, stop this right this instant, I know you like him so cut it off before it's too late. As Starlingpaw explained what his day was like, she could connect it with her day. She had been hunting near the river for fish, and it was surprisingly unsatisfying. She was probably bored of hunting as well.

"Well, uh, maybe we could spar against each other? I haven't had the most eventful day either, so it would be good to pass the time or something." The reason that she suggested a spar was because she couldn't fathom actually fighting the tom with claws unsheathed. What a terrible RiverClan cat she was, can't bring herself to fight . "I- well, what do you think about that idea? I'm not so sure that it's the best but... maybe it's good? What do you think?"

A bright grin appeared back on Starlingpaw's maw as she mentioned being happy about seeing him. It was good to know that she had long to see him as much as he longed to see her, then she suggested an idea, to make both of their day's exciting. "Hmm? You wanna spar me?" He shifted in his spot, a spark of an idea of actually fighting making him excited but he couldn't scare her off.

"I'm fine with it, but I won't use claws. Can't take the chance on messing up your beautiful face." His eyes sparkled with mischief. "You can even make the first move, my little Heron." He stood onto his paws ready for her first attack.

Heronpaw gave Starlingpaw a slight smile. She was glad that he liked her idea, and he seemed very enthusiastic to be able to spar with her. When he said no claws, the silver-and-white tabby nodded in agreement. "Sounds good," the she-cat said. Honestly, she didn't want to hurt the ThunderClan apprentice either. "Let me dry off first, and then we can spar." Stepping away from Starlingpaw, the she-cat shook the water droplets out of her pelt. She probably needed to have done that earlier, but she didn't want to get Starlingpaw wet while talking to him. Turning back to the tom, she gave a grin. "Okay, I'm ready!"

Turning to Starlingpaw, the she-cat ran towards the tom. Smacking the tom with her sheathed paw, she hopped back into a crouched stance. Honestly, she was a little afraid to go further than that, just because she didn't want to really send Starlingpaw to ThunderClan's medicine den. You care wayyyyy too much about this ThunderClan apprentice, Heronpaw. Perhaps it would be alright if she hit him harder than that, so long as her claws were still sheathed.

Heronpaw used Front Paw Blow on Starlingpaw, dealing 4 damage and costing 5 stamina.

Starlingpaw watched as she stepped a few tail lengths away to shake out her fur. He flinched back a little bit as a stray droplet here and there caught him on the face, not really liking the feeling of water on his fur. He brightened at her grin, but got into a ready stance as soon as she said she was ready.

The dilute tom watched her move, taking her blow with ease, a small smirk on his face as he spoke. "You can be a little more aggressive, I'm not going to break you know." It was true, he wasn't going to. While he may be a little gentler with her, he wanted to have a challenge, to test his skills. He was quick to return her blow, making ti seem sort of like a counter attack but not quite.

Heronpaw smiled softly. Starlingpaw had effectively dared her to hit harder, and it ended up making up her mind for her. "Okay, if you say so!" The she-cat feinted with her left paw, then pushed him onto the flat rock they were sparring on with her right. Holding the apprentice down, she gave him a grin. "Well, I guess I have you now," she said. Then again, maybe not. Her claws weren't sheathed, so she didn't have a great grip on the tom. A quick movement could break him out of there.

Heronpaw used Leap-and-Hold on Starlingpaw, dealing 6 damage and costing 15 stamina.

Starlingpaw gasped a little as he was shoved to the ground by Heronpaw, a dull wave of pain going through him as he collided with the warm stone. Well he did say for her not to hold back, and he couldn't let out a purr. "Good job! But can you handle this?" He asked her before pushing himself up and breaking free of her hold. He spun around real quick, lashing out with a soft paw. This was a lot more fun then training back with Kestrelswoop. He wasn't going to be mad if she beat him, in fact he would be proud of her, which was usually very different from how he normally felt.
