Having been on a hunt near the River, the sudden appearance of an owl took Sunflower off guard. It'd come out of no where, and now, he was locked in battle and with no where to run, seeing as though the owl knew the forest just as well as he did.

Swooping down to the cat what was huddled on the ground, shivering in fear, the Owl raked its' talons against the tom's back, leaving him to screech in pain. This fool might have been a tall feline, but he was no match for her strength.

The Owl used Talon Strike, causing 20 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Ivybrook's hunting had been interrupted by a shrill scream from the other side of the river. The she-cat had enough to deal with back at camp, so she didn't have time to deal with the petty squabbling of apprentices at the border... But at the same time, it was her duty as the deputy to investigate whatever the issue was. When she reached SkyClan's part of the border, however, all she could do was release a long, drawn-out sigh before leaping into the water to save the lanky tom on the other side. Using the ground beneath her to boost herself up, she leaped out of the water and bit down on the owl's wing, a muffled, "Mook out!" escaping her maw as she brought the winged predator down to the ground with her, nearly landing on top of Sunflower in the process. Through the feathers, she managed to yell out to the other warrior, "Met your mutt up amd hewp me mefore it kiws us boph!"

Ivybrook used Teeth Grip, dealing -13 Health Points and using -20 Stamina Points. The Owl is held for 2 turns.

Before the owl was able to attack again, another cat joined the scene, whom of which he had no clue who they were, except that her pelt bore the fishy stench of RiverClan. To his surprise, instead of going for him, the she-cat latched onto the bird, and the two of them came tumbling down, just barely missing him as he rolled to the side.

Letting out a gasp of fear, Sunflower snapped his golden gaze back to the RiverClanner, who'd yowled something to him. While he knew he had to help, part of him wanted to simply flee and leave the she-cat to finish off the owl, but he knew he'd never heard the end of it next gathering.

Lunging forward, he struck the owl with a paw full of sharp claws before jumping backwards, not wanting to get hit by the bird's deadly talons.

"What a coward," She hissed under her breath, keeping a solid grip on the owls wing despite the fact that it continued to flail and screech, hitting her in the face several times. Unlike the tall tom, she faced the owl with bravery instead of backing away at the slightest threat of danger.

Waiting to see if the owl was going to break free of the RiverClanner's grasp, Sunflower took the opportunity to slash at it again. He was impressed by her strength in being able to hold the beast down and not manage to get her face clawed off, but unlike her, he kept his distance, seeing as though his clumsiness wouldn't help either of them.

"Get your furry rear-end into gear, you foo-!" Before Ivybrook had a chance to finish yelling at Sunflower for not doing more to help take down the owl, the large bird used its razor-sharp talons to tear at her face, causing her to gasp as a combination of the shock and pain- and in turn releasing her grip on the wing. As blood poured into her left eye, she realized with a frightening shock that she couldn't see through her left eye- A startled yelp left her maw and she clenched both eyes shut, hoping for the best in the situation while trying her best not to yowl from the pain. After a few moments, she opened her one decent eye to see the owl swooping down towards her- The only thing that saved the she-cat from yet another attack was her reflexes. She stood up on her hind legs, scraping her claws against the winged creature until it dropped, and she was back on all fours. Her breathing was far from steady- it was ragged and pained, and with a slight grimace, she nudged the creature towards the SkyClan tom. "It was... was on your t-territory, you take it. It c-can feed several hungry apprentices, p-perhaps an elder." Any attempt to stop the shaking in the Deputy's paws and the quivering of her whiskers was futile, and she was reluctant to admit it, but she was terrified. Unable to open her eye, the she-cat turned to face the river, afraid of what Mistlepaw would have to tell her when she got back to camp.

Ivybrook used Upright Front Paws, dealing -16 Health Points and using -20 Stamina Points. The Owl is KOed.

Wincing from just thinking about the pain that must have come from her injured eye, Sunflower watched as Ivybrook finished off the bird within mere seconds. Trembling from the adrenaline of the sudden fight, the tall tom didn't say a word as he looked down to the bloodied owl. Before he was able to say anything, the she-cat left the scene, which left him to have to drag the bird back to camp and explain that he wasn't the one who'd killed it. Great.
