Shrikesong was hit hard by Robinloft, which surprised the younger warrior. It did make sense though, since the black-and-red she-cat was much more experienced than Shrikesong was. Jumping away from Robinloft's reach to adjust, the young she-cat calculated what she needed to do. There's no way that I'm going to pin her for good yet, since she's not worn out yet, but I could get the advantage now and try to keep it as she fights back. Smiling, the brown she-cat batted her clanmate with her left paw, then smacked her clanmate a little harder from the other side as the brown she-cat tried to turn the fight back to her advantage.

It looked like Cedarheart wasn't prepared for his move. With a surge of strength, he firmed his grip and pinned her into the snowy ground, his breath panting out in white puffs from his nose as he grinned at her. "Great match!" Stepping back, he let her rise, shaking his pelt out and glancing around at the rest of them. So far, it looked like everyone else was still engaged in their own, leaving him and Cedarheart here. Though at least it looked like Thrushnose had beaten her opponent - the Asylum cat.

Asylum....

Some of the thrill faded from his veins, the smile dampening slightly as reality came back again. Turning back to the she-cat, he dipped his head. "You were a good opponent. Thanks."

Her chest heaved as she took another hit from Shrikesong. The other she-cat's attacks weren't painful, but it still took energy for her to immediately bounce back with another attack. Even if her clanmate wasn't as experienced as she was, she was still just as strong, if not stronger. Mimicking the first move Shrikesong had made when the match had begun, she threw herself on top of the other she-cat and attempted to pin her, eventually getting her to a point where she was temporarily immobile. If she could keep her there for a little while longer, she would win.

Once the Asylum cat had retreated, Thrushnose settled down to see how her family was faring. Minkstream won his round, while Batbite lost hers. If her daughter or Quaildock had joined in the sparring, or if Kestrelpaw and Sablepaw were hiding in the slowly-growing crowd of observers, she couldn’t see them through the trees, though she didn’t have much time to look with the tournament continuing on around her. Sooner or later, she’d be up against a new opponent; the only way to ensure they were a Clanmate was to seek them out herself. Thrushnose stretched forward as if she could smooth the vague beginnings of soreness out of her legs, then padded ahead in search of an unoccupied warrior.

Before long, her gaze landed on Beecloud, victorious in his own first round. His size would make him a difficult opponent, but Thrushnose wasn’t one to shy away from a harmless challenge just because she was outmatched. Besides, she could trust him…which meant she’d be free to concentrate wholly on the battle itself. Yes, Beecloud would do just fine. "Beecloud," she called, her striped tail waving high as she stopped across from him, “how about a spar?”

Shrikesong sighed. Robinloft was still a strong fighter at the very end. The brown she-cat ripped her way out of her clanmate's grasp, working to pin her clanmate to the ground. She was sure that Robinloft was tired by now. She hoped that Robinloft was tired by now. She had some energy left, which probably meant that Robinloft had one more chance to break free and pin Shrikesong. However, the brown she-cat didn't believe that to be the case. Call it wishful thinking, but I think I have the advantage here.

Beecloud shouted out in a victorious "woo-hoo!" as he took Batbite not-so-easily to the ground. He had hardly gotten his breath back before he was approached by another warrior: Thrushnose. She was younger than him, but he knew that she was a formidable warrior. It would not be a simple task, first to catch her, and then to pin her down. But, Beecloud had had so much fun in the first spar, he figured it couldn't be so bad.

"Alright, but don't expect softpaws from me!" he snickered, tail lashing like an excitable kitten. He darted forward, aiming low, driving his skull into Thrushnose's chest and chucking her upward with a jerk of his head. When she fell to the ground, he jumped forward to tackle her, forepaws landing on either side of her torso.

Thrushnose had braced for a charge, something like the rogue’s first attack—but to her surprise, Beecloud went low. Her wide-set stance did nothing to prevent him from flinging her off her feet. He tackled her, bringing her down the rest of the way before she could regain her balance. Fortunately, his grip wasn’t solid. More conscious of her claws than she’d ever been in her life, Thrushnose twisted around, kicked out at Beecloud’s back legs in an attempt to stagger him, and used the resulting opening to roll back onto her paws. “Good move,” she murmured, backing away. This was only a spar; that didn’t mean she couldn’t learn from it. Having found her own balance, she took a swipe at Beecloud's legs again.

A she-cat meandered towards Minkstream, long fur shiny and soft. She blinked as she looked him over before extending a sheathed paw. "Perhaps I can be your next opponent? I do hope I can put up enough of a challenge for you." She mewed, her eyes and tone cautious but inviting.

As he glanced around at the matches still ongoing, someone else padded up, the scent with that odd overtone all the Asylum cats seemed to have. And, of course, it wasn't one he recognized as one of his Clanmates. His eyes narrowed slightly, briefly flicking over her long, sleek fur and choosing to ignore the prettiness of her rounded face, a vaguely sliming feel of disgust worming into his gut. Meeting her cautious gaze with a stone-hard one of his own, face expressionless except for the coldness in his eyes, he settled into stance - just a tad reluctantly - and carefully kept his own claws sheathed. "Fine."

A part of him was vaguely curious as to just how good these cats were. If they didn't just get those pelts of theirs by picking up carrion from the Thunderpath, then it was safe to assume their training was maybe on par with the Clans. For a moment he scanned her stance, gauging the way she settled her weight lower to keep her centre of balance firm, and then swept forward, low and quick. His paws flashed out, deliberately aiming to knock her legs out from under her before throwing his weight against her side, using it to drive her to the ground.
