| Shimmerkit peeked out of the Nursery. What was going on? It seemed that the leader was speaking... Was something important happening? Probably just someone becoming a Warrior... It seemed like everyone had forgotten that Shimmerkit was now 6 Moons old and ready to become an Apprentice...
...Whatever. Someone's bound to look at her strangely if she didn't go, might as well go...
Shimmerkit padded over to the group of cats, hiding at the back.

| With Shimmikit in attendance, Ivystar began the ceremony. "Shimmitkit, please step forward." When she did so, Ivystar continued. "Shimmerkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day onward until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Shimmerpaw. I will be your mentor." | Shimmerpaw's eyes widened. It seemed that the other cats did remember it was her sixth month after all! She trotted up to the clan leader as she spoke.
Her mentor was going to be the clan leader? Oh Starclan, that was going to be so awkward... And so much extra pressure...
