She was too weak to go on. The stupid warrior... Despite the blood dripping from her wounds, and her maw her gaze looked over to where the other Shadowclan warrior came from seeing the lifeless body laying on the ground. Leaftwirl.. A traitor.. Even if she tried to help Skyclan. A broken bubbly life escape Flowerthorn, causing blood to splatter on the ground. "You call us murderers? At least Redwing's death could have been an accident. Fighting in a tree isn't smart for Shadowclan you know. But that? That is all intentional. And your warrior is still here. Where is his punishment? Where is our justice? Glad to know a massacre is Shadowclan's answer. Bunch of rogues." The smirk she had faded into a scowl as she growled out those final words. She turned and walked out of the fight, a slight limp in her step. "Murderers! The lot of you!" She called out, not caring if she was heard for sure or not. She wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't.

Slowly the pale she-cat walked over to Foxfire. Nudging him to his paws to get back even further to get closer to the camp to where they would be safer. To a point where he wouldn't be murdered randomly just like their former warrior was.

Flowerthorn has fled the battle.

Foxfire had practically collapsed where he had been leaning against the tree, to tired to hold himself upright as he faintly listened to the sound of yowls. One voice caught his attention over the rest. Flowerthorn. He struggled to turn his head, to listen to what she was saying and the words caused his blood to run cold. 'Murderers!' His eyes widen as he struggled partway back to his paws, managing to actually lay eyes on the battle - it wasn't looking good. It...Oh StarClan. But there was the still body that caught his attention, eyes widening as he recognized the form.

Leaftwirl.

What? How? Where had she...She had disappeared from the camp before everything had gone down - having apparently left to become a loner. So why was she here? Why was she...She was dead, oh StarClan. What was he going to tell Basilpaw? At least Leaftwirl had been safe away from the Clans. She had returned to fight and for what? To die? His mouth fell open, words trying to form but the presence of Flowerthorn reaching him caused his attention to shift. At her gentle nudging, he shakily nodded his head in silent acknowledgement as he managed to stand all the way up, slightly leaning on her as he stumbled into the tree lines, trying to already find the words to tell Basilpaw.

He...He would also have to tell her about Flintshard. At the thought of the apprentice, he recalled that she had apparently managed to befriend the tom - that he was the aloof ShadowClan cat that had spoken about leaving SkyClan alone when it was clear that Redwing's murderers weren't there. Stars, he had been caught up in all of this...He wasn't even sure if Flintshard was dead - he had trouble recalling if either Thornstar's or Lynxscar's wording had made mention of his fate. He grimaced, finding it to hard to think back on it with the pain that rushed through his systems. He knew, at any rate, he would have to warn Basilpaw... The tom might have been somewhat neutral on this conflict before, it was impossible to know how he would feel now that he had been caught in the trouble.

With a cry of pain, Poppyheart dug his claws into the earth as his fluffy tail thumped behind him. Tears panged in his eyes, unable to bear the agony much longer. He could feel himself slowly growing weaker and weaker. He couldn't get out of this mess himself. He needed help.

Several tail-lengths away, he spotted Asterstrike wrestling with Oakstar. He needed his brother to leave the ThunderClan leader alone and help him. "Asterstrike, h-help!" he cried feebly.

Poppyheart is no longer Stunned.

Asterstrike snarled viciously at the ThunderClan leader, his tail whipping back and forth in rage behind him, kicking up dust. How dare he question his loyalty, when Oakstar had been the one who abandoned his birth Clan! Sure, he had left his Clan at one point, too, but he didn't think of that being as bad as Oakstar's abandonment from ShadowClan.

Suddenly, he heard his brother call out for him. He whipped his head around to see the ThunderClan deputy having Poppyheart pinned beneath him, dealing quite a bit of damage. "Don't worry, bro, I'm com--!" His words were cut off when Oakstar grabbed him by the scruff and started violently shaking him around. He yowled loudly in pain, struggling to tug away to save his brother.

Asterstrike is Stunned for one turn.

With a loud snarl of pain and rage, Sparkfire screeched at her attacker before kicking out her own hind claws, mercilessly raking them across his underbelly as well. After a few seconds of fierce pummeling, she had been able to kick him off, and she leaped back up onto her paws to face him.

Sparkfire used Half-Turn Belly Rake (+Night Finesse) on Sunflower, dealing 11 (+2) damage and costing 20 stamina.

Oakstar growled as he used his large body to bowl Asterstrike over, his claws taking at the soft fur of the tom’s belly beneath him. The yowls of Poppyheart wasn’t unheard, nor was Asterstrike’s response. He seized the moment.

"The next time you start yowling about Justice, I want you to consider one thing. " He growled, tone deep and serious as his claws retracted to stop from causing too much damage. "If Poppyheart killed another warrior, would you let the clan of the cat he murdered kill him?" he asked, claws dug in sharply as he thought about the young dark apprentice he had guided back to shadowclan’s camp not long ago. "or worse, young Frostpaw? Before you follow a cat who demands an eye for an eye into battle like this, you may wish to consider that."

Oakstar used belly rake. Night finesse is active, Asterstrike is stunned for one more turn

Screeching at the pain, Sunflower stumbled backwards, his belly dripping crimson red blood bellow him. Before he was able to make his next move, an all too familiar scent caught the lengthy tom's nose and whipping his head around, his heart practically dropped out of his chest.

"No!" Sunflower screamed as he stared at his former mate's lifeless body across the blood stained cleaning. She... she was dead? She couldn't be... But why in StarClan's name had she come here? She was a loner, no longer part of SkyClan... this wasn't her battle to fight and was certainly not her battle to die over! As if something snapped deep within the warrior, he snapped his gaze back to his opponent, his lungs heavy with grief and fear and his head filled with unanswered questions. How dare those rat-breath cats call his clan murders when they were really the ones to blame for all of the lives lost today!

Leaping forward, Sunflower sprung onto Sparkfire's back with a sharp cry of rage. "ShadowClan... You're the murders!" he yowled at the top of his lungs, holding the she-cat down and digging his claws into her sides. An unknown source of rage filled the once meek tom's heart as the scent of blood oozed out from his opponents side. Leaftwirl might have left him and his clan, but she was still family, still the mother of his kits and an old friend. Great Silverpelt... she was so selfish. First leaving without saying goodbye and now dying without saying goodbye.

As a cluster of confusing thoughts and emotions swirled around inside his head, tears began to well in his golden gaze as he used all of his strength to hold the brawny ShadowClanner down under him, realizing that he must've looked like he'd gone crazy. How in StarClan's name had he even gotten this far so that he was pinning her down? Now that he thought of it, he couldn't really the last few moments of the battle and assumed it was because of that rush of anger that had hit him like a Monster racing down the Thunderpath.

Sunflower used Leap and Hold, causing 13 damage and costing 10 stamina. Sparkfire is stunned for 2 turns.

Mothglow watched in horror as the battle raged on, unable to tear her eyes away. Thornstar, at least, seemed to have her fight under control; her adoptive mother always had seemed much more comfortable on the battlefield. Much more than Mothglow herself had been since she was a young apprentice, at least.

(Yet she always seemed to find herself in the middle of these things, somehow.)

Speaking of young apprentices, though, she spotted Lightpaw standing over a defeated SkyClan cat. While this battle still felt truly unnecessary, it was inevitable; the best she could do now was some form of damage control. Trying to ensure the well-being of her Clanmates, despite their poor decisions. She made her way over to Lightpaw, swiftly patching up some more minor scratches. "I'm sorry," she said softly, not sure who it was she was speaking to, before darting back out of the fray.

Seeing cats assigning blame on every side, she sighed. It was a small mercy, she supposed, that Mossbloom wasn't here. Sagelight she didn't know, not well (and she cast an apologetic glance his way because she'd like to, really, she wanted to perhaps count him among her friends someday as she did the rest); but she wasn't sure she could face the cats she called friends if they were standing on opposite sides. And wasn't that what it came down to? They weren't meant to be on any sides at all.

She could defend herself all she liked, but at the end of the day she had followed Thornstar into war; and even if she shed no blood and still stood apart from the battling warriors, she had allowed this to happen. She just hoped that Thornstar knew what she was doing, and that this war wouldn't hurt ShadowClan enough to undo any good it might have led to.

Lightpaw smiled at Mothglow, nodding a thank you before turning to find a cat to help. Poppyheart. She ran towards the deputy, slashing her claws across his belly. Beartooth was a big cat, with long fangs and seven sharp claws. So he needed to be defeated.

As the cry left Poppyheart's maw, the Thunderclan deputy had already prepared a final blow. Rearing up onto his hindlegs, the bulky warrior smashed his over-sized paws down on the Shadowclanner's head. He could see the frame of his opponent crumple, and knowing the weakness from damages already caused, knew this would be the final blow. Beartooth backed away, prepared to go assist another cat, but not before letting out a low meow, "There is no peace to be found here for you. Go back to your home and be with your kin." However, before he could break away, there was a stinging at his stomach and he glanced down to see an apprentice. It appeared he already had another opponent.


Beartooth used Upright Lock on Poppyheart, dealing 17 damage and using 25 stamina. Poppyheart is unable to fight.

Finally, after what felt like forever, the weight on top of him lifted. But the calico barely had a moment to breathe before, once again, it came crashing down. Sharp claws ripped through his flesh ruthlessly. His head spun. His tail trembled. The pain made him wish he was dead, but somehow he was still conscious enough to feel the full brunt of it.

But then he suddenly had an idea. In the position his black-and-white opponent had put himself into to attack his underbelly, he had left his own underbelly exposed. So perhaps if he used his own medicine against him...

With one last burst of energy, Sally pushed himself off of his enemy, dragging himself away to the edge of the battle. He didn't check to see if his enemy was knocked out or still standing, but at this point he didn't care. He just wanted to rest a bit before fighting again.

The rage of war was like a whisper in his ears. All the sounds of pain and death around him were silenced, going unheard as he focused all of his attention on his enemy. Spottedstar didn't know what to think - there was no time to think. Instead he reverted to his basest instincts, guided by the pounding of blood in his ears and the explosive energy in his chest. Even the growing pain of his wounds was drowned out by the icy numbness of feral anger. He was washed in blood and vengeance.

He twisted, flailing rapidly to shake off his attacker in any way that would allow for a little space. He escaped, snarling a vicious, worldess war cry, and plunged his fangs deep into the scruff of ShadowClan's leader. Spottedstar shook violently with an intent to separate her head from her shoulders if he could have managed the strength.

Spottedstar used Scruff Shake, dealing 10 damage and using 25 stamina. Thornstar is stunned for two turns.

His head was getting dizzier and he knew... the blood he was losing was too much. He wasn't... going to make it any further without dying if he kept fighting. However, there was still that inner fire in him, sparking words that soon came out of his mouth when Daisyflame and Ferretnose met in battle. "Then why were you even here?! This was Shadowclan and Skyclan's business! Thunderclan shouldn't have come unless Spottedtstar wanted to outnumber us with Thunderclan cats! I only started this before your clans could strike us first." He hissed under his heavy breathing, looking with fury at the half-blind she-cat.

He then turned his gaze to Daisyflame, the senior warrior who was probably still in shock for what happened to that other she-cat. "I'm not really good... but you are. Don't listen to her. She attacked Ravenmist! My mentor... your mate... I only jumped in here to stop her from hurting her even more. What has Thunderclan ever done for Shadowclan? Have they ever aided us in the past? They always sided with Windclan... enemies of our allies in Riverclan. And now, they aid Skyclan, the cats who took Redwing! The clan who maimed Flintshard! What happened was there was an accident... you didn't mean it! But you can make it up by saving your clan and not making the same mistake!"

Lynxscar is still stunned

Listening as the ThunderClanner, he began to contemplate what she'd said, but was quick to turn his attention to Lynxscar's voice. What the younger tom said didn't necessarily make him feel any better about what he'd done, but he had a point. These monsters were fine with battling a blind cat, who knew what else they were capable of!

Gathering his strength once more, the large tom reared up on his hind legs and pummeled the she-cat's face your opponent's face with both paws. After this battle he would be able to dwell on such thoughts more, but for now, he needed to keep focused on the task at hand before anyone else got killed.
