Frosty Daisy [CLOSED]

Froststone sat close to the Jaggedrock, alone. The reddish hue still lay over them like a blanket, he just hid in the dark shadow of the large rock. Everything had happened so fast lately. Littlestar's death, the absence of the sun, then being made deputy was what surprised him the most. He was so young... He knew he could do it, it was just so quick. He hadn't ever expected it. He didn't know Littlestar well, which had made him feel horrible about everything. He felt as if he couldn't grieve properly with the older warriors and Scorchfang.

His frosty blue eyes swept over the clearing. Perhaps he would find someone to talk to, he had never been the most social.

OOC: so sorry for the wait ;;;; (also, in case you didn't know, Daisy is salty about not being chosen as dep (cause I was already a leader when the ceremony happened ;;) but know that it's nothing personal lol, just in-character stuff :3

IC: Rising from his nest, Daisyflame made his way out of the Warrior's den and into the crisp camp, which was still dark like the night. Giving his ginger and white pelt a shake, the warrior let out a yawn and gave his hind legs a stretch as a cool breeze ruffled his fluffy pelt. It was a true wonder how the weather was able to change so fast, and bring such sorrows with it...

With so much having happened recently, Daisyflame decided to get his mind off things, and knowing that he needed to go on a patrol and make good use of his time, he cast his gaze around the camp, and low and behold, it landed on Froststone, who was sitting in the shadows. Immediately, his spirits fell. Scorchfang and him had already had a chat about the whole deputy thing, but even though he'd been reassured by his best friend, he still couldn't help but feel a bit downhearted about it. But, even so, he knew he need not give Froststone a cold shoulder, seeing as though the younger tom was simply doing his job.

Taking a few moments to gather his thoughts and push the negative ones to the back of his mind, or at least attempt to, Daisyflame made his way over to the deputy. He wasn't able to muster up a smile, but hoped that he at least didn't look so upset. "Wait for a patrol?" the warrior asked, his tail flicking back and forth every few moments.

Out of the corner of his eye, the white tom discovered Daisyflame heading towards him. He'd never talked to him much, and only has ever went on a few patrols with him. One of which when he was still an apprentice. He couldn't help but think just how young he was still. Daisyflame had been around before he was even born. He dipped his head in greeting as the ginger-spotted cat approached. "No, just sitting here more or less, admiring the day." His formal tone was obvious, yet he always used that tone. He didn't have anyone to not use it with. "Care to sit?" The long white tail that had been spread out, curled inwards towards his feet.

(OOC: sorry it's kinda short, im dead rn)

Nodding his head, Daisyflame gave his pelt a shake and sat down next to the tom. For a few moments, the two of them sat in silence, as he didn't really know what to talk about but the obvious, which he would've rather avoided, but it looked as though he didn't really have a choice. "You haven't been it for long, but how's being a deputy going so far?" the warrior mewed, trying to hide the hint of sourness that tinted his tone.

OOC: haha you good, I feel ya ;u; apologies for the shortness also. I've legit spent 4 hours posting/working on posts so I'm all outta muse :'D

Froststone flicked his ears in aggravation. Despite all that Daisyflame did to attempt to cover his tone, Froststone still heard it. He pretended as if he didn't hear it. The white tom had enough brains to know that Daisyflame wasn't as happy as some others about his ascension to deputy. It wasn't hard to figure out. He supposed it was one of the only topics to talk about, him being the deputy. "It's alright. I'm trying to be everywhere at once sometimes though, its hard. Being deputy is a lot to take in." Froststone had tried to hide it, but he was mentally exhausted. For once, he had a real challenge. He was trying to be good for Scorchfang, because he had faith in him. Nobody had ever really had faith in him, let alone talk to him in general. He was a loner inside his own clan occasionally.

Listening to the tom speak, he nodded his head slowly as if agreeing with his reply. "I bet," he mewed, looking down to his paws. "Especially when having to deal with a mourning clan," the warrior added, wishing he wasn't one of the mourning cats. He knew he was a capable cat, but not having his mother and father around made life so lonesome and all he wanted in the world was to hear their comforting voices again. "But, you seem to be doing well with it all, so that's good," Daisyflame added, looking back to the white tom.

Without looking at Daisyflame, he spoke with a quiet, melancholy voice. "I'm sorry about your parents... I suppose they're in Starclan now. I'm sure they will assist in returning the sun to us." For a few moments, he was silent. The cold breeze brushed the white tom's long fur as he shuffled his large, gray paw farther into the dirt. His blue gaze flicked back to the ginger and white tom. "Do you ever wonder why any cats would want to kill all but pure-blooded cats. It's cruel, their parents made the mistakes, not the cats." Froststone's tail flicked violently with aggravation towards the band of Exiles that had caused the death of Littlestar and the loss of the sun.

Listening to Froststone, Daisyflame gave a nod of thanks. "I hope they are too," he mewed softly and lifted his head to look at the dark sky above as the deputy continued. "Yes, I've wondered that too. It's a horrible thing, really," the warrior mewed, his tail lashing back and forth as well. "I just hope that this all gets sorted out sooner rather than later," he finished, wishing that life was how it'd always been.
