Reedclaw nudged the four small kits out of the nursery. He figured he would give Songleap some time off from the kits. "Alright kids, time to explore."


Swallowkit lingered behind her brother and sisters. She was excited to see the camp, but not to be fussed over by the rest of the clan, she was tired of it. The she-cat took in all the sights and sounds that appeared after exiting the nursery walls. This outing would get her one step closer to starting her training.

Sagekit was right on her brother's heels, racing after him. She too looked around the camp in awe, but quickly tried to mask her wonder, pretending like it was no big deal. "Duh... Where did you think all those weird sounds and smells outside came from?" she sassed, though her tone was more playful than rude.

Specklekit was the last to appear from the nursery, eyes round with amazement. She squinted her eyes at the sunlight, but enjoyed how it warmed her pelt. "Whoa," she marveled, gaze sweeping across the camp. She stopped, watching how her siblings coped with the change of scenery. After a few heartbeats, she pelted after them, fur puffed out. She felt so small compared to the openness of the camp.
