Little Bundles of Fur(Now OPEN)

Wrenbreeze was utterly tired.  It was in a blink of an eye.  One heartbeat she was a warrior; the next, she was in the nursery and expecting kits.  She felt a bulge in her tummy.  And then another one.  And another.  Oh, StarClan, she thought as it started to hurt.  She knew what was coming.  ”The kits... are coming!” she cried.  She barely had any energy to bear the kits.

Heronflight was returning from a patrol when he heard his mate’s cry.  ”The kits are coming!” he yowled into the medicine cat den.  He dashed into the nursery.  ”It’s going to be alright, Wrenbreeze,” he said, trying to comfort her.

Goldeneye ceased in the moments of fluffing up the nests that she always had set aside for her patients and looked up to look at Heronflight who burst in her den, shouting at her that the kits were coming. Goldeneye launched after the warrior, though she was in no real hurry, it was always in the queen's paws. All she could do was hope for the best, and that she could press in all the right places. Pushing after Heronflight she laid her eyes upon Wrenbreeze, one of the first apprentices she took to the moonstone.

"How are you feeling Wrenbreeze?" Goldeneye meowed, settling down at her belly and pressing her paws against it, feeling the small, squirming bodies of kits ready to be born. "You can do it, alright? You'll want to start pushing on your next contraction and keep doing so. Start with short, strong pushes, then lengthen them as you go. I know you must be tired already but you have to persevere for the life of these kits." Goldeneye meowed, and without taking her eyes off of Wrenbreeze she mewed. "Heronflight, I want you ready to grab a kit, nip the kitting sac, and lick it the opposite way you'd normally clean a kit, okay? After that lay it by her belly so it can feed." She instructed coolly.

"Alright Wrenbreeze, whenever you're ready." She meowed soothingly, giving the queen several strong licks on her shoulder.

Wrenbreeze listened to the medicine cat's words and started pushing her next contraction.  She contracted once, and a kit came out.  Heronflight grabbed the little kit and nipped the kitting sac and placed it on Wrenbreeze's belly, which contracted again.  Another kit came out.  Wrenbreeze contracted two more times, giving birth to two more kits.  Exhausted, she said to Heronflight, "They're beautiful, aren't they?"  Heronflight replied, "Yes, they are."

Larkkit was the first to be born. After a cat grabbed him by the scruff and placed him at his mother's belly, he started suckling.

The tiny she-kit started mewling as soon as she was born. Her tiny voice was soft, though high-pitched. She stopped mewing when she was placed next to three other bodies and a large one. She began to suckle hungrily, kneading the large body's side with her tiny paws.

The second to last kit was born- Muddykit. He could've easily been the loudest with his shrill, high-pitched mew echoing throughout the nursery. Though deaf and blind, his nostrils were filled with the scent of milk. He instinctively knead the fur in front of his small body, latching onto his mother for warmth and food.

It was warm and now it was cold, and it had happened all so quick. The newly born bundle of fluff didn't like it one bit, letting out squeals of protest in response. She mewled and kicked, as she squirmed her way towards towards the scent of milk. the tiny kit latched on when she found it, finally feeling warmth once again. The kit was content, for now.
