Shadefall lay in back of the nursery, trying to get comfortable. Her large belly had been getting in the way, and it was always hard to lay down and be cofortable at the same time. She curled herself up when she felt a pain go through her stomach. She screwed her eyes shut until the pain went away. She ignored it and curled herself back up, covering her nose with her tail. She felt another pain go through her, one she couldn't ignore. She screwed her eyes shut and clenched her teeth as another pain convulsed through her lower stomach. " Rainwhisper, the kits!" She cried.

Rainwhisper had been spending time with his mate. He jumped up in alarm as Shadefall yowled. The kits?! The blue-gray tabby tom dashed into the medicine den. ”M-M-Mottleheart! O-Or-Or F-Fea-Featherlight! Shadefall’s ki-kits are c-coming! Hur-Hurry!” He insisted.

Fear clenched in Featherlight's heart at the familiar shout for herself or her mentor. It never meant anything remotely positive - until she heard the second part of the statement. Shadefall's kits. She couldn't help the momentary thought of 'Thank you, StarClan, for this not being another death.'. "I'll be right there for you, Rainwhisper," she called out, already rummaging through the herb stores. Raspberry leaves, borage leaves... Aha!

She made her way to the nursery as quickly as she could with the small bundle of herbs, and placed them in front of Shadefall. "Chew on these," she instructed, trying to place her anxiety in the back of her mind. The last time she had done this, the queen was already dying. Everything would be fine this time, Shadefall was healthy, and hopefully the kits would be, too. "Everything will be fine," she murmured, not sure if she was speaking to Shadefall or herself. "Do you have any idea as to how many there are?"

Shadefall screwed her eyes shut and chewed on the herbs Featherlight had given her. She'd experienced pain before, but this was unimaginable. She clenched her teeth as another sharp pain stabbed through her stomach. "I think three" Shadefall managed to say through gritted teeth.

Rainwhisper paced back and forth outside the nursery. He knew better than to be inside and get in the way of Featherlight’s work. ”She wil be okay, she will be okay,” Rainwhisper murmured, managing to speak without a stutter as he often could the quieter he was.

"You're going to need to push, alright?" Featherlight asked, "Those herbs should help with the pain, at least."

Shadefall took Featherlight's orders and pushed. Featherlight was right, the herbs had helped reduce the pain, but the convulsion that followed caused Shadefall yelp.

Shadefall had four little balls of fur next to her stomach. most of them were light grey with tabby stripes and one with a spot over her eye, but there was one that was cream and brown. That got Shadefall wondering about her parents. Who were they? She pushed the thought to the back of her mind and smiled at her kits. "They're beautiful" She finally said, giving each and every one a lick on the head. She was surprised that there were four kits instead of three. But she still loved them all. "What should we name them Rainwhisper? " She pointed her tail to the smallest kit, "I think that Smallkit is a good name for this one" She made her way down the line of kits, "This one is Shellkit, because of her unique fur." She went onto the next, "And this one lilykit, because she is sweet. And the last one, Heatherkit, because she is as sweet as a flower." She finished. "What do you think rainwhisper?" she asked.

Shellkit drank milk and mewed as her mother licked her. She heard many voices but all she cared value was cuddling with her mom and drinking the good creamy milk.

HeatherKit looked up and started smelling as soon as possible, she was very energetic and was trying to escape the warm mossy area her sisters were in. She also wanted to suckle the warm creamy milk but felt as if she was going to hog it considering she was genorously big for being a kit. When she heard her mother say her name aloud she looked up thoughtfully and squeaked.

(OCC I think she might cause a little trouble to her family but she will take it in and accept herself as she is and become a very patient still warrior)

lilykit felt the warmt of here sisters and mother around here feeling fairly comfy she smelled the warm creamy milk of here mother. she began drinking it and purred happily.

Rainwhisper purred as he watched his little mewling kittens. They were perfect. ”Those names sound beautiful!” He replied, grinning.

Smallkit was the runt of the litter and squirmed around, trying to get a meal. He finally did and tried to fall asleep near his mother. He couldn't because it was too loud.
